I tried 2X for our Venezia cruise in October and was denied. Booked casino rate so only paying taxes and fees. It’s ok, I’m good with the rate. I did get approved for our pride that we booked a non-casino rate on. I think those are pretty much the only ones getting denied.

On panorama we dropped our stuff and put wallets and passports in the safe.

Free is a relative term. 😉🤣 but the NCL rooms ended up being about $1000 less than the carnival rooms when you added in the cheers package. It’s Alaska so it’s expensive. 🤷‍♀️

We have a group going to Alaska next year and ended up with NCL. When you added in the free drinks at sea it was quite a bit less than the carnival ships.

88, JH announced it on FB a week or so ago. We have a hotel straight up the street from it, about 2 blocks. Excited!!

I read somewhere that you can connect to the internet and turn on your personal hotspot and others can and use the internet then. Anyone have experience with this? I have an iPhone… we have 4 in our room and the first two have the 2 specialty dining. Anyway to combine those into one dinner for the 4 of us, or do the 3&4 person have to pay? TIA!

We saw bears three different times first week of July last year. One on Tracy arm, one in Skagway along the road heading to zip line, one at Icy Straight on a wildlife excursion.

When you go ashore in Victoria do you have to show anything? Or is it just Iike all other ports? I know Canada is particular. Is it just based on the travel info (passport, birth certificate) provided to the cruise lines?

Our first cruise, first night at dinner I asked if I could order 2 things. The waiter said “whatever you want”. I was hooked!!!

Asking for one person in our group: we have a large group planning a cruise on Norwegian for July 2024 to Alaska. One person had a felony in his very young life, did his time, paid his debt, and has had no legal issues for the last 20 plus years. Now, I know Canada won’t let a felon, including dui, into Canada. We have a short stop in Victoria, he will not get off the ship. My question is if anyone has any experience or knows first hand if he is asking for problems booking this trip. We don’t want him to pay and then be turned down when checking in. He will cruise with a birth certificate and government ID, not a passport. Thanks in advance for any advice.

First cruise sail away party they played the black eyed peas I Gotta a Feeling. So excited, wind whipping my hair. Every time I hear that song now it takes me back to that moment. Also, won almost $900 on one of the first nights, different cruise. (First after covid) it payed for all our on island stuff, drinks, we splurged on things we wouldn’t have done, bought.

We splurged on the pass on our Panorama cruise this past February. I got up and walked the track and then we hit the thermal spa every morning. It was a nice way to start the day. The heated beds are nice but people would kinda hog them, put towels on them and go to something else. I don’t get it but wasn’t about to make a fuss. I really liked the steam rooms.

Been to Belize 2 times and both times we did excursions from the ship to small islands for snorkeling. Rendezvous Caye and I don’t remember the others name. Very cool experience if you are in to that. Costa Maya 2x, once to a beach club and once to the ruins. Really liked the ruins. I would pick Belize myself unless you haven’t been to ruins. They were cool. My opinion for what it’s worth.

We are on the Oct 28th cruise, and our first visit to NYC. Can’t wait to experience it all. Coming on Thursday so we can have at least one day in the city.

The only up sell I’ve taken is an inside casino offer room on deck 1 to Lido for $54. It was definitely worth it.

The lasagna at the Italian restaurant was very good! It wasn’t crowded, February, so nice lunch there.

How does the $25 casino money work? Is it automatically added to your S&S card?
