  1. Not all cruises have a Pinnacle count that requires excluding some Pinnacles. It's not an assumption you need to make.
  2. What problems did you encounter because you use a walker?
  3. You will like the Odyssey just as much, if not more.
  4. Yes, you can apply it to that balance. Not sure about the second question, and I'm not going to just guess.
  5. All Royal Caribbean ships. These shows are multi-million productions. This is a big part of the reason that next year, Anthem will not return - we will get Odyssey. New ships, new shows. And Oasis will be replaced by Symphony.
  6. I'm so excited that I am on the famous sadiwest's "finally got my cruise!" 😄
  7. Different "packages", from $39 to $79.
  8. On "lobster night", sure. You could just order the steak from the "classics" menu and order your lobster tail. Voila! Instant surf 'n' turf!
  9. It varied and varies tremendously from cruise to cruise, ship to ship, week to week. Typical RC pricing labyrinths. 😄
  10. When you board, there will be tables set up in several locations, where staff will be trying to sell beverage packages.
  11. I'm just going to repeat myself for those in the back rows. THERE IS AN OUTBREAK OF COVID AMONG THE CREW AND THEY SUDDENLY NEEDED A SECTION OF CABINS TO ISOLATE THEM.
  12. You are certainly remembering some things wrong! LOL 17 years ago, there was no wifi. And the dial up service wasn't free. (and you don't NEED it for a 4 night cruise, but certainly should buy it if you want it). The included drinks 17 years ago are basically the same as they are now, except that actually there are a few more included drinks, like flavored waters. So, the refreshment package isn't "necessary" by any means. Definitely cancel your husband's package, from your description of his habits. For you? The peace of mind of not wondering how much those lovely virgin daiquiris are costing you is probably worth it. 😄 I never have difficulty finding a quiet (free) lounger and umbrella on CocoCay, but I'm trying Hideaway Beach in March, because it was so cheap. (I got it for $18.99) While Hideaway Beach is billed as "adults only", they are trying to market to younger adults, saying that there will be "nonstop music" and excitement. 😮 So................all of those extras truly are optional. Only you can judge their "worth" or "value" to you. Whatever you choose, enjoy your first cruise in 17 years!
  13. No, I'm on the Anthem right now, and that's right. That's what it looks like. They hung it upside down. 😄 😄 😄 J/K, of course. But we had a "tree lighting ceremony" yesterday. I guess they just unplug it and plug it back in every week. 😄
  14. This letter is being posted on EVERY.CRUISE.PAGE.ON.FACEBOOK. The answer (probably accurate) added on one such page is: There is an outbreak of Covid among the crew and they suddenly needed a section of cabins to isolate them. Thus the last minute nature of not having enough cabins for the GTY cruisers.
  15. You can use the RC app without purchasing Voom, and it has a messaging feature.
  16. By invitation, people who are on the Ultimate World Cruise on the Serenade of the Seas, December 10, 2023 to September 10, 2024, will be posting links to their blogs here so that you can read and follow.
  17. What kind of decorations and where do you intend to place them, @aftermidnight?
  18. Because the OP couple has two casino comps. The gambler must be in the cabin.
  19. If the two adults are linked as a couple in the C&A Society, the two have the same points. An increase for one is an increase for each.
