Is that tablet one for a headache ?

His iPad.  You swipe your medallion as you enter the dining room, then he looks at his iPad to see where there is an empty table.  They used to use paper chart that had a plastic over it and would mark a table off with a washable marker.

He might need a tablet for his head the first night on any cruise as passengers don’t know where to go.

  2. If you like Princess, take out a Future Cruise Deposit for $100 CDN from your credit card that you used for the cruise.  You do not need to decide now for a new cruise, you have one year to book if not used refund to credit card.  You get OBC depending on length of cruise and cabin category.  Visit Future Cruise desk and fill in form and drop in box there, or on TV/app.

    I have some Princess questions.

On sea days Sabatini’s becomes Alfredo’s Pizza. I have two free casual meals. Do I need to reserve Alfredo’s or just show up?

Alfredo’s is walk up and they will sit you.  Depending on time, there might be a line.

I meant - it's a problem if you get to the airport early with the luggage which the airline will not accept until it's within a 4 hour window of the flight.

There is a limited amount of seats at the air line counter area. A lot of people sitting on the floor with their luggage waiting for their airline counter to open up.

that won't be a problem. We had a 5 pm flight,  now THAT's a problem.

Take a ship post cruise excursion, you won’t have too long a wait before you able to check in.

  6. I have a 3 day cruise Vancouver to San Francisco on the Ruby.  Princess post cruise excursion is $75.

I stay on the Ruby to have a 16 day cruise San Francisco to San Francisco.  The same post cruise excursion is now $139.

The description of the 2 post cruise excursion is the same.

Why a higher price16 days later for the same excursion???

Did some more weather research. Looks like the temperatures will be very comfortable on our first leg with a little rain forecasted at most of the stops in Norway.

Did they really expect them to take US dollars? Would they expect a small care in the US to take British pounds or to take Euros?

Yes, he thought everywhere took US$.  They were upset and talked about it for a while at the dinner table that night.  It looked like that they were older couple and did not travel much.

  9. On my 2015 British Isle cruise, our dining table mates, an older couple was telling us while on an excursion they had stopped at a small cafe for a lunch.  He tried to pay in US$ and was told only £ cash.  The wife stayed at the cafe and the husband went to the post office to get the £ cash.

    Once Elite, elite forever.

But as far as Elite?  You're good, and doesn't expire.

    😎

You never know what Princess will take away from the Elite, don’t give an idea.

I do plan on pre booking before I go to London once I have my air and hotel arrangements done., and will be printing out my tickets.  I'm also planing on ordering Oyster cards for DH and myself. 😉  We're planning on visiting in September, and I told my TA that so far almost all of September is empty on our calendar, so she can book whatever looks good!

I purchased online and printed the places I wanted to see while in London and also had the Oyster card.  I only needed money for restaurants.

See if Buckingham Palace is open while you are there.

  12. I remember in August 2015, after going through the security machine like at the airports - belts off, empty pockets, bags, walk through, I checked my backpack (I think, they must have giving me some kind of ticket) and after exiting the Palace, down some stairs, one side had a small tent cafe and other side I picked up my backpack.  They had moved the bags from the entrance to the exit.

No bathrooms in the Palace for the public.  There are public bathrooms on the way out of the Palace grounds.

I "heard" that the dirty banana is one of the favorites.

I have the virgin dairy banana- 1/2 a banana, cream, chocolate sauce, ice in a bender.  It is like a chocolate milkshake.

  14. I have taken the 12 day and 8 day  BI,  both in August.  On the 12 day, I took an Oceanview cabin.  The 8 day, I booked an Oceanview and a week before was offered for $$$ got a balcony.

The balcony was nice, to see what the weather was like but a little cold to sit out even when docked.

On a sea day, we tried to sit out to watch the outdoor movie, after a 1/2 hour we left as we found it too cold to sit out.

You only have 2 sea days.

I would go with an Oceanview cabin.

  15. I have stayed 4x at Premier Inn Waterloo.  Hotel has A/C, bar, restaurant, entrance is street level, walking distance to Westminster Abbey, London Eye, Parliament, Thames River, Big Ben, Hop On Hop Off, 2 tube stations, Waterloo train station, regular bus, stores, restaurants, pubs, small grocery store.

    www.premierinn.com

I used Just Airports, a car service from Premier Inn Waterloo to Heathrow.
