Agree. In the past, I have seen the cabanas sitting there empty taking up Sanctuary real estate that easily could have been filled with revenue-making loungers.
Yes, you can purchase single day coverage for Medallion Net internet service. I had always assumed it was for the calendar day, but recent reports indicate it lasts for 24 hours from when you activate the purchase. You can also sign up for internet service part way through the voyage and have it for the balance of the trip. The rate for that is the same daily rate as for the full voyage - so less than the single-day rate for random days.
New rate is $25/day for single device and $30/day for 1-off days booked.
If you have seen the many photos and videos on the original (now locked) Sun thread or in the Live From by CanadianBurger, you can get a good sense of the balcony size. It does seem PCL has learned a lesson from the postage-stamp size on Royal Class and improved the space for regular balcony even if a little.
That was just one of the unfortunate losses if the thread is gone. That said, a locked thread just means no new posts allowed, whereas a deleted thread is permanently gone.
It seems to me, Princess does similar, providing when there is an extended balcony. Of course those longer balconies on the Sun have a higher/premium rating. I don't see them installing two loungers and chairs on a Mini with a small balcony just because it's a Mini.
Not only shorted, but no variety if you wanted that. Should be 10 alcohol/beer. Surely they would have had at least enough beer to fill the quota? I always get 10 beer.
Too bad they had to implement all those protocols for naught. Anyway, you are doing a FABULOUS job showing us the ship through your lens. It does look like a beauty.
I would just add, there is no need for "normally". A couple where one is Elite are considered both Elite for purposes of priority boarding, priority tendering, etc.
Call it what you will or split hairs over definitions perhaps, but the 18% is non-refundable and goes into a tip pool. All bar service works this way and the 18% is non-refundable.
Princess is not pocketing all this money or they would not have thousands of friendly crew members.
The cover charge is for the upgraded meal. I don't see it as any different than buying an upgraded liquor at the bar - the bartender and waiter do the same work, but the bottle poured from sets the price and we are charged 18% on the price difference. the 18% is non-refundable.
It might vary by airline, but I have not lost a seat fee, IIRC. A phone agent will normally recognize you paid prior to making the flight change if the system doesn't. Also, I never pay the bag fee until online check-in - no reason to IMO.
If someone has a current photo board picture it should be posted on the sticky at the top of this Forum which is reserved for Princess key ship personnel.
For you Night 3 is Formal Night 1 (Gala is not a Princess term). The second one is same name or Dress To Impress. Wear anything from Smart Casual to Formal in either case and you are fine. SD locations are always Smart Casual (but you can dress up anytime you like).
Your second night depends. If you end with 2 days at sea, it will be the first one of those. If you end with one day at sea, then look for the port day with early departure and that should be it.
Look in your activities calendar in the App for Formal Photos and that tells you which nights are the ones.
