  1. IDK why, but this got me laughing. STT is the place for good liquor prices. Hope the ship isn't delayed. 😉 Need to pick an itinerary that doesn't have STT at the very beginning or end.
  2. It is the same price on all ships all the time. $40/pp/day. $20/half-day. $30/day if book entire voyage. Those are for loungers. They also have high-priced cabanas at $220/day. I think it is about $150 for half-day. You get two loungers for that. Check the info out on Princess.com, including an older video. Lots of info online about this space. PS - Welcome to CC - I see you are new here.
  3. Well the cruise fares were at par for a time. Who knows if they will do that again. The way the CAD is tanking lately, PCL is likely to boost their set conversion rate from 1.35 to 1.38 or 1.40.
  4. You are smart (as well as TA) to escalate because they can speak to the decision dept. It seems quite possible to me to move to Greece instead of Italy. It is really similar to situation where guest misses the ship due to transportation or weather delays and needs to catch up at a future port. PS - Sorry for your loss and I hope you are going for more than a 7-night voyage or I would just cancel and re-book.
  5. So, what do you think after reading previous posts? Why doesn't Mom want it? Not going to drink enough? Does she want internet or not? I am with the others who suggest your Mom pays at least $16/day for her Crew Appreciation. Also, put any beverage or casual dining she does in her column. You pay the difference. You are going to be well ahead of booking Standard, plus one standalone all-inclusive Plus beverage plan. You seem to have justified value for you in going Plus. Once you know that, it is easy to get it for both rather than standalone.
  6. When you sign in with Booking Number, you are also including Name and BD. Presumably, you and spouse have different names and BD's. You can both sign in at different times on the same device.
  7. Lots of members have posted that they liked Plus when it was $40, but don't do it now that it is $60.
  8. Right.... I didn't mean that late. I would think a 10/11pm departure would end up with a normal evening but lower demand in the DR's for tables. At least once on board you can tell when all the shows and games are by consulting the events schedule, despite the difficult format.
  9. To update this list Do not push the "Quote" button. (It creates a copy that the next person cannot properly update). Instead: Find the most recent post with the list. Select and copy all of the text in that post except the change notes. 10. What would I know? I just copied the list and updated other reported items. Seems to me no one has reported from the Regal in recent weeks. If you know Stringer is not there, do you know which Captain has rotated in and what the date was? There is also no correct entry for DRO. I suppose I could fix that as Nicola moved to Enchanted and IDK why that info is old now. ETA: It was you - why did you copy in an old table? The above is not the most recent table!
  11. They often merge threads with the same topic - in this case it was discussion and comparison of buying Plus/Premier over Standard.
  12. Our @Host CJSKIDS is a pretty smart cookie, IMO. Thanks for merging the threads.
  13. It would be best if either of you think you are going to be hitting the limit, or if both of you get to 8 or more. Quite a few posters report using their own Medallion to getting two drinks. So that part can work, but bartender isn't going to be able to charge another account when not Medallion there to scan. Why not use your Medallion for the first round and then the spouse's for the next round?
  14. The shortest waits are always for sharing tables (generally, 6-tops or 8-tops). Ask DR Mgrs or Hosts which DR may be best for what you are looking for (in terms of minimum wait). Main shows are usually 7:30/9:30 in North America and may be half-hour later in Europe. I think a show time may be affected somewhat based on a late port departure time (but not positive).
  15. Advantage early bookers. Unless they open it up at a set number of days prior to the sail date. It would end up like DMW, however, with no location picking and guests would just be randomly assigned to loungers. It would also be like trying to get tickets on TM for a popular concert (e.g. Taylor Swift and Bruce Springsteen) - without the scalper pricing.
  16. A similar scenario to yours could be a couple who prefers booking independent third-party small-group tours and use the $1,100 to cover bar tab and Special Dining. There are almost an infinite number of combinations for value with and without a package.
  17. We don't do the sharing tables, but I would ask the waiter to bring our meal ahead because we aren't having four courses.
  18. Yes, this is true. But word is that not all Suite guests will be invited due to space limitations. As I mentioned on that thread, I'd want to at least drop in for a couple of minutes to get a Sanctuary booking.
  19. Hear ya. Then perhaps a Super Premier package? I do know I would not pay $56.50/day or $565 for a 10-nighter in Caribbean just to get access to book a lounger. (That is my net after deducting Internet and CA). Still creates even more of a status structure than exists today for Suites and Elites. Only thing I can think is the B2B'ers generate more revenue for PCL than a single voyage booker. It's never going to be enough on certain voyages in certain sectors. Perhaps a lottery of some sort is a fair way to go. Same shortage exists for CTL and WMD and now 360.
  20. How could Suites and Reserve guests be excluded from this rather exclusive opportunity? Sorry, I don't like it and I don't see it ever being implemented. I can see them making efforts to make sure that any Suite guest that wants a lounger or cabana has a good chance to get one. (Not that I like that much either as it excludes me, but they seem to be perking things up for a suite guest).
  21. Sure they did - but so did the B2B'er. Here is the only truly fair way IMO. Works the same way for concert tickets or to get into "the pit" area. Everyone interested must be in a line by a cut-off time. Say 10 - 15 mins after boarding commences (no point in giving late arrivers an opportunity - you have to be early or out of luck as it is today). This includes B2B'ers and new guests. As guests arrive to line up, they are handed a ticket number - one per cabin. Numbers go 1 thru whatever. The other half of the ticket goes into a bucket. At the appointed hour, a Sanctuary crew member draws a ticket from the hat so to speak. That number is the first person in line - say 32. The next person in line is 33, then 34, etc until the final ticket handed out - say 65. The next person in line is ticket #1, then 2 and so on up to unlucky 31 who is the last in line. Then the reservation process begins until all seats exhausted. PS - Anyone arriving after the cutoff time simply goes to back of the line and if anything left, they may get a shot. Same as today for late arrivees.
  22. If I was a B2B2B..etc as some number do in the Winter, I'd be smokin' upset if I could not secure a lounger over someone taking a single cruise. Besides, there is nothing to prevent a B2B'er from lining up at the Sanctuary for the other 50% inventory and be there well ahead of the boarding guests.
  23. If you can find the post from last Spring, there was a photo of a car or van under cover of the building I think. Also, better photo or two of interior of the lounge. ETA: ETA: See Post #52 PS - I may not have been there myself, but my information came largely from this post of other's real experiences and some Q&A with them. 😉
  24. How many held-back loungers would be fair? Still going to disappoint a lot of people. It seems one needs to book B2B in the Caribbean now in order to get a lounger for the second voyage!
