  1. Not sure where you are looking, but try this: https://www.princess.com/learn/ships/staterooms/suites/
  2. I don't claim to be the expert on all nuances of the PVSA, but it has to do with start and end ports in USA and, based on those, may require a distant foreign port or a near foreign port to be called upon. As long as the absence from the ship doesn't affect missing the foreign port or cause the guest to end the voyage at a different US port than the departure port (for a closed-loop cruise), then I don't see a problem.
  3. I thought I saw several screen posts from Ocean Now taken from a cellphone that a member here posted on another thread. They showed several pizzas for $8.50 - same price as Alfredo's - and I thought some of the same types of pizza. I'd have to see it again to be certain, but it led me to believe the pizzas came from there. Another poster mentioned seeing them boxing up pizzas at the counter for delivery. Perhaps I am confused on this. I would agree that previous generic RS pizza would be from Slice or the general Galley. I am not certain about the Alfredo's thing, but at least on those ships that have it? I mean they don't have all the styles for offer at Slice - usually just a couple at a time.
  4. Paragraph 1: Of course this is true and exactly what I was posting about. It would be absurd to think a Premier fare guest could order free pizza for a bunch of new-found friends. Paragraph 2: I didn't suggest a Plus guest could share a pizza with just anyone either (same as Premier). I am not sure what instance you are thinking of where a Plus guest can share and a Premier cannot. As far as I am concerned, a hungry Premier couple could order three pizzas at no charge. IDK, do you think they would only allow them each to order one pizza and then have to leave and turn around and line up to come back in to order the third pizza? I am not sure what scenario you are painting there.
  5. You have raised a valid point, so guest should be well aware of weather conditions before leaving ship in Kona. I would think GS could know if there is any expected weather that could keep the ship from the Hilo stop. I do not see a PVSA issue since guest completes the booked voyage on the ship. The amount of time spent on big island Hawaii is irrelevant.
  6. Same menus. Just different locations (check out the ship deck plans on Princess.com). One location or other may suit you depending on cabin location, etc. When you book your Private table in DMW app, you won't be locked into same table and waiters for full voyage. If you want that traditional experience, you need to speak with DR Mgr or Host on Day 1. I'd go with a DR where they can set you up in the same place and you just head straight to your table each evening. That may be different than the one you book ahead of time in DMW.
  7. Sorry, I don't understand your point. Are you saying that an a la carte pizza may be shared by some guests and not others, depending on the fare they booked? (A Plus guest has to pay if ordering an a la carte pizza and not using one of their credits - or credits are exhausted).
  8. Interesting .. .since at least some of the same pizzas can be ordered for anywhere delivery to the guest.
  9. Sharing for Premier Fare guests should be a non-issue since they can go unlimited number of times, so it wouldn't matter if they ordered one Pizza and were each assessed a visit. The only issues/questions (IMO) are what happens in various situations with Plus Fare guests since their visits are limited.
  10. Yes, it could be allowed. You (or your TA if using one) needs to submit a Deviation Request which is reviewed and approved and sent to the ship. Something this simple (not completely leaving the ship early) could probably by handled by speaking with Guest Services shortly after getting on the ship. But it would be safer to submit the request and have it on record.
  11. I would think the Royal Class ships virtually never dock at Crown Bay dock - only pre-Royal Class ships. And those probably dock there when WICO dock is full with larger ships.
  12. I do not think so, Jimmy. It has been established there is no issue sharing a la carte items. In this regard, I cannot see treating a package guest differently than a Standard Fare guest. Std couple could order a pizza and two beers and share the pizza no issue. I don't see a problem if one person only had water. This has never been an issue before. I think the only complication comes with using the full meal benefits in the Plus package. Besides a solo diner is going to have an empty chair anyway, so nothing lost/gained if a SO is sitting there playing on their cell phone or reading a book. Ah, but the sharing part is another question and supposedly not. Guest would need to take away the pizza and consume elsewhere presumably.
  13. Those two ships are essentially identical sister ships.
  14. If it is a cabin occupied by your own child, you aren't going to need their permission. OTOH, @deltahog might want to think twice if they want their kid to be able to open the cabin door anytime it strikes their fancy.
  15. Reading your note and others reminds me. Princess touted some time back that one of the Princess Medallion App upgrades now included a notification to the receiving guest if a message was sent using the included shipmate messaging feature. Posters keep saying there is no notification, so I wonder if they are folks like me that gave up on the thing ages ago or is there yet another bug out there that this new wonderful feature doesn't work.
  16. WhatsApp and Facetime require Internet. iMessaging can work between/among Apple smart devices. No good to Android devices.
  17. IDK how you got linked to the page above, but this main page on MedallionNet is quite clear IMO that it is not free unless guest has booked Plus or Premier Cruise Fare. https://www.princess.com/ships-and-experience/ocean-medallion/medallionnet/ It also indicates that internet cost is $15/day and up. What you indicate planning to print says nothing about providing free internet. Guests are free to use any of the computer screens in the Internet Cafe area, but all you can do for free is what others posted above.
  18. If you are not Platinum or Elite level in Captain's Circle, then supposedly you cannot use Dine My Way (DMW) to book dining until after you have made your Final Payment (you can pay early of course). That said, some folks have reported being able to make reservations in DMW who have not made FP and who are below Platinum level. Personally, IDK if this is a system bug or if Princess has quietly modified their policy (but I do think some folks have also posted not being able to make a res, but it is hard to tell if they have run into one of the countless system bug-a-boos or if they are being stopped due to not qualified. In theory, there could be a lot of guests trying to make DMW bookings around FP Date, but I don't see it happening all on one day because TA's are often after guests to get payment in early so it gets posted on time and even those booked directly with PCL may provide payment a few days early. So it will be spread out a bit. It can take a couple of days for a new booking to appear in the App. But it should - just keep checking.
  19. I don't see why not as long as you aren't looking to add one of the key items that comes on the premium pizzas (the $12 ones). We have also customized and I really doubt they would not continue with doing that. They are far from ogres on the ships, despite what we may think of some execs in the Ivory Tower at Santa Clarita HQ.
  20. There is no reason you cannot "hold" the App and "old" the Dessert if you are willing to burn a free visit. Why would they not go for that since guest is consuming less than what is allowed?
  21. No, you just buy it on board. Sea days are variable, so I imagine you are going to have to pay $20/day. You can inquire with Internet Cafe Mgr, but I would expect to pay $20/day.
  22. Have you read this thread? ETA: Oh, sorry - I was thinking of another thread with extensive sharing discussions. Yes, you can share a la carte items, but one person order prix fixe isn't supposed to share and save a dining credit. If paying cash (room charge), I don't see how sharing could be stopped or not allowed.
  23. Princess does not fully document everything that they offer nor their processes/procedures. What you refer to doesn't list the 4-device package and cost and yet you are not questioning that. Medallion Net was always available for single days since it began at a cost of $20 (versus $10 if booked entire voyage). When they increased the prices and made them the same pre-cruise and on-board, the single-day price was unchanged (per reports). I gather you just have not seen the many posts from Medallion Net when it first launched as unlimited per day instead of by the minute. Pricing for it pre-cruise and on-board was posted multiple times. Also, posted have been the new rates since the increases (posted on Princess Forum here, not by PCL). Princess has never been forthcoming about publishing all internet rates on their website.
  24. Okay, so a couple of small flights from YYJ to SEA prove the point that there is really an absolute. So, every major Canadian airport that has relatively frequent service to/from USA has US CBP pre-clearance. It's not that many airports needed compared to the potential number in the USA.
