  1. So glad they got a great welcome back to the ship. What a relief. Sure they’ll all sleep well tonight.
  2. Yes, can’t they allow you outside in fresh air twice a day for 30 minutes? They have to be able to do that. Ugh.
  3. You are doing much better than I would unless I had a large book of sudoku puzzles. Hoping “their” test is negative too. Thanks for keeping us updated.
  4. A member of the FB group posted this: The captain said the tour group all have their passports with them and will let us know when they are on their way to the ship. However, they were still at the Marriott hotel. And we will go through the Panama canal on time as scheduled. We made up the time during the night, and we were only 1 1/2 hours in leaving the port of Punta Arenas in Costa Rica.
  5. Further to this person on FB, looks like he’s removed his post probably because some were not very polite/sympathetic. Hoping he will be ok once he realizes HAL is trying.
  6. He was very upset that the excursion wasn’t cancelled due to stormy weather. Mentioned they were soaking wet and of course no other clothes to put on.
  7. There is a person on FB, a 4* mariner, who is very, very upset as he was on this excursion. Wish he’d post on here to know HAL is doing the best they can.
  8. Being claustrophobic I can’t imagine either.
  9. Oh no…my mouth dropped when I read you tested positive. We’ve also remained covid free and is one of the reasons we have not cruised yet. At least you’ll be 5 days not 10. Fingers crossed for you.
  10. Just remembered you were blogging! Thanks for doing this-was just reading & looking at your photos.
  11. Exactly. When I took our daughter on a partial Panama cruise a few years back we had to make an unscheduled stop outside of Acapulco-hovered out at sea & a boat came to get the patient. The next day the Captain said he wasn’t sure we’d make it back on time in Ft Lauderdale but on a side note he said the patient was doing very well so that was good.
  12. I’ve seen videos that have been posted on helicopter evacuations and that’s good enough for me! I do like how the Captain announces an update if the person is doing well.
  13. We’ve never experienced being on a ship with a helicopter evacuation only once we had to stop at an unscheduled port for a medical evacuation but not helicopter. Good luck and hope no more medical stuff! Enjoy following along & your photos, especially snorkel ones.
  14. Oh gosh, a lot of medical issues for this cruise. Hope this person/persons will be ok.
  15. So happy to have found this thread. What a wonderful cruise. Will be following along and book marked your blog too. Smooth sailing!
  16. I’m not very savvy on my iPhone and always have to ask my grown up kids how to do stuff unless it’s really easy. You sound more advanced than me.
  17. The insurance provider I use (Canadian) sends me a copy in PDF form so can’t help you with yours. Hopefully someone else can.
  18. I didn’t know such an App existed either. We also keep a PDF of our policy on our iPhones.
  19. Loved following along on your river cruise. Glad you have a couple days now to catch up on well earned sleep. Having never been to Italy myself, what is different at your air bnb? My husband, son & daughter all have been and I do remember them saying “very small” and feet hung over the beds. Rest up for your cruise. Thanks again for taking us along on your adventures!
  20. @*Miss G* What a whirlwind for you, I was exhausted, lol. Good thing you now have a cruise to hopefully relax a bit, lol. Will follow along on your next adventure too. Your river cruise looked great though and I’m glad you’ll go again one day.
  21. Wow, that went so fast! Looks absolutely wonderful & sounds like you had a great time. Your photos are wonderful.
  22. @WCB Another big thank you for taking us along. Really appreciate all your information since we should have been on this cruise. Living vicariously through your posts and others.
  23. When we had the 2 booking numbers when on board at turn around day we got a card on our bed about it being a Collector voyage. I went to the Neptune concierge & said it isn’t, was booked as 2 separate bookings with 2 different numbers. Usually a collector cruise is a bit cheaper etc but this wasn’t.
