Agree...don't use a debit card. I've been on several RCI cruises (recently) and they stopped asking for the physical card some time ago. Our most recent cruise a week ago my entire extended family was checked in using my credit card and no one asked any of them at check in to see my card.
Agree...with the above that her mom could get an additional credit card for her.
Well I can say our extended family that included our 2 grandsons just got off Icon on May 25th loved it. We had two Surfside Suites and saw all the shows and ate at most all the comp eateries and had an amazing time.
FYI for those that care...Mario was on our cruise. Not that that made any difference.
You might also consider a private shared shuttle service from many that offer service from
FLL-POM. Like Ride SAS, JiffyJeff, South Florida Shuttles etc.
We just got off the Icon (May 25th) and agree with the above 11am to 11pm with happy hour between 5-8pm.
However perhaps it's just me but I didn't actually care for the set up of the lounge and Coastal Kitchen sharing basically the same space.
For a Miami hotel try Hampton Inn Suites Blue Lagoon. Comp hotel shuttle from MIA.
For a Fort Lauderdale hotel try Hyatt Place. Check rates with ValueTrips when their schedule comes out end of this year for reservations in 2025.
Renting a car if you're a Costco member check out their online rental prices.
Doubt it will be "free" for the length of your cruise. You might opt for a stay/park/cruise option that hotels offer. Most will include a shuttle to/from port.
They'll be 6 of us and 6 large suitcases and assorted backpacks. We would probably need 2 xl Ubers so the price seems pretty close for us to just use the hotel shuttle....and might be easier also.
We've had extended family who used the pack-n-play before and yes their the same size as the regular ones which are approx 28x39. Just an FYI....bring your own fitted sheets for these. And do reserve one in conjunction with your booking.
From MIA to the hotel comp shuttle. We just (March) stayed at the Hampton Inn Suites Blue Lagoon and used their port shuttle ($14.00pp) from hotel to POM. We'll be doing the same thing next Friday.
Yes...Mexican Riviera from my home port San Pedro Ca. 7 nights.
Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan & Cabo. This is the one we've done many times over the years and continue to do every year.
Yes...Port Everglades. You can either use Uber/Lyft or they'll be many taxis in the line up ready to go. For a taxi just make sure it's metered and should be around $12.00 per taxi.
This is a quick easy trip about 10-15 min or so depending on traffic.
