  1. OP...just to clarify. Your ship is going to overnight and once you board you'll be free to come and go. We had the same overnight itinerary in Dublin...boarded on a Friday and the ship didn't actually sail until 4:00pm on a Saturday.

    Raptor Center tour

    No...subject is Sitka port stop.
  3. We're sailing RCI Serenade in September and Sitka will be one of our port stops. A new one for us.
  4. Agree...We have an annual GeoBlue policy and purchase 3rd party insurance just before we sail to cover us for other travel situations that may come into play.
  5. We have done this and you should have no problem at all.
  6. RCI won't take an at home test unless it's "proctored". We have easily done the Abbott BinaxNow test from eMed several times...couldn't be easier.
  7. Yes...We had four boardwalk balconies and had them all opened on Harmony.
  8. If it's the same pricing...I would book directly with the airlines. That gives you more control over your flight. On the other hand if you would book with RCI you usually don't have to pay for the flight until your cruise final payment is due and you also can cancel the flight...right?
  9. They'll be less traffic late night and they should stay at the hotel where their car is parked...sleep in in the morning have breakfast and be on their way.
  10. Why does it have to be private transportation from MIA to your Ft Lauderdale hotel ? Just use Uber or taxi.
  11. So one QR code for our extended family group of six ?
  12. It was our first time for this port and just kinda wanted to see a map. Once there I agree not like other ports. We felt Bonaire was the same...but did buy a beautiful hand made leather bracelet from the local craft market.
  13. We're sailing out of San Pedro and considering taking the VN Flyaway to LAX then an Uber to the port. Which terminal is the closest to the taxi/uber stand and how do we get to it walk or shuttle?
  14. Of course you can take luggage with you....The thing is you have to handle it yourself...so base that on if you think you can or not.
  15. Did it have a sail date on it ?
  16. The ones they give out now (based on port) are just like the ones pre-covid.
  17. Parking there is $7.00 per night...stay one night...take a taxi to the port cheaper than their shuttle.
  18. The shopping guide you can get at the promenade/centrum yes has a very limited map only showing the stores they recommend () !! We were just looking for a port map for Bonaire & St Croix recently and they told us onboard that there wasn't any (shopping guide) because RCI didn't recommend any shops...basically none of them had paid for the advertisement.
  19. Sorry...but attending these personally is a waste of time. If you need shopping tips....usually there is an information sheet in the promenade or centrum night before arrival into each port. Hard to believe but there are actually some ports that don't have a DI
  20. This will be a new airport for us to depart from on Aug 7th. I've been reading of all the problems with this airport. We'll be coming off the RCI Jewel due to dock in Amsterdam at 6:00am. We'll have concierge service and will self disembark asap. We have a DL One flight AMS-LAX via SEA booked at 2:30pm. Can anyone give me an idea of how departing from this airport works? Which lines do I get in first (we will have checked luggage) and will our first class booking with DL help at all and if so where? I appreciate any help you can offer...So we'll in the very least have some idea how to navigate this apparent madhouse. Thanks so much !!
  21. Oh...gotcha...I thought it was her supposed status that allowed her to get off first. Thanks for clearing up that everything is for sale at a price.
  22. No...sorry...We won't be on until the 18th.
  23. Ours weren't from Amazon and certainly weren't rubber ducks...My DIL is very artsy and she crafted small disc's and made personalized logo's on them with Harmony and our sail date. They were just adorable. She'll be making them again for our Alaska cruise on Serenade in September.
