This shouldn't make a difference at all with who the air is booked through.
Yes....I agree with the above 70 lbs per bag for business/first. The 50 lbs is for economy.
MTD hasn't worked out for us recently as the times were much too late. We've been changing to early traditional because of this on our last four cruises. The lines for MTD were crazy long we've noticed as we left.
A percentage of cabins must be set aside for possible quarantine but ships seem to be sailing with as many as they can recently. We've seen this on the four cruises we've done this year from January through April.
The PCR NAAT test our under age 5 grandson took at an urgent care facility 3 days prior to cruising we got the results is less than 1/2 hour then he additionally had to have a PCR Rapid Antigen at the cruise terminal and then another PCR administered onboard one day prior to the end of our cruise. This was for our Eastern Caribbean cruise on RCI. this past April. This apply's to under age 12 that is unvaccinated.
3rd party will cover trip interruption, lost or delayed luggage, covid quarantine expenses etc.etc. We don't need the medical coverage since our annual GeoBlue policy will cover that. We purchase 3rd party per trip.
I think we'll just rely on getting a taxi from AMS to our hotel and not worry about pre-booking transportation. I understand completely to go to the taxi line to do this just as we've done at many International airports.
I just read another post that clearly explains the benefit of using DL Priority. We're flying DL One and I'm now feeling a bit better about making our flight.
I'd like to thank you also for posting this. We'll be flying out of Schiphol on August 7th from our Arctic Circle cruise. We're flying DL One first class at 2:30pm AMS-LAX via SEA and thought DL priority should come into play somewhere...now I know it will.
Ours is a full transit and really looking forward to this one. So glad I booked when it first came out as it's been sold out for some time but now with final payment date of July 4th a few cabins have opened up ...but the price point now.... WHEW !!!!
We thought about taking an Uber from Simi Valley to the VN flyaway then another Uber to San Pedro. Yes, am very familiar with the location of Calabasas...our daughter owns in the Estates at the Oaks.
Perhaps we'll considering just doing an Uber from home and leave out the middle man. We usually drive to SP and leave our car but this is a Panama Canal cruise and will have to fly home from Tampa back to LAX.
Thanks for your information and offering us another option....very much appreciated.
Post 2,3 & 4 it was Sitka...sorry if I was incorrect...but there is a Raptor Center Tour also in Sitka and the one most frequently discussed on these boards. When posting it's always helpful for the OP to give some details so there's no confusion.
No.. It was May 28, 2018 onboard Celebrity Eclipse. Even though I'm a loyal Royal cruiser we couldn't pass up this amazing itinerary:
Dublin Ireland (overnight)
Dublin
Reykjavik Iceland (overnight)
Reykjavik
Akureyri Iceland
Lerwick/Shetland Scotland
Cork (Cobh) Ireland
Dublin
One of the best itineraries we've done.
We'll be cruising out of Amsterdam Arctic Circle RCI Jewel on July 26th...looking forward to this one too.
