  1. Lysol is my favorite aroma. I was wiping down airplanes, cruise ships, and hotel rooms way before it was cool to do it. 😃
  2. Yes. Snacks are very difficult for me on any cruise ships and airplanes. I always bring some g.f. crackers, cookies, and snack bars with me to keep in my cabin.
  3. I have been on quite a few X cruises and have also taken the galley tours. X is our favorite for allergy safety. Sadly, my celiac reactions have worsened, and I had to be hospitalized due to being cross contaminated 5 out of 9 days on our last vacation. Land trip not a cruise. =( I'm so glad procedures are the same for MDR and Luminae. I figured they would be, but it's nice to be reassured. 😃 Our TA always adds my food allergy information to all our bookings. I also follow up with The Maitre D as well. I love the index card idea. I just wasn't sure if Luminae procedures were different. I'm so glad it isn't. Thanks everyone for relieving some of my stress. I really appreciate it. 😃
  4. So Sorry, I forgot that bit of info. We will be sailing on the Edge.
  5. We will be sailing in a suite in May 2024. I have celiac disease, and I would like to know if there is a kitchen specific for Luminae and specialty restaurants. If that is the case, is there an area in the kitchen for allergy-specific prep to avoid cross-contamination?
  6. We sailed the Summit out of New Jersey pre covid, and while there were mostly lovely people sailing with us, my husband did witness two "Gentlemen", one from New York and the other from New Jersey, get into a shoving match over which place was better. It was really ridiculous. Thank you everyone for the information. I will be looking for some festive items at the dollar tree. 😃
  7. We will be sailing over Christmas, and it might be fun to decorate our doors with something festive. My question is for door decorating veterans, what do you use to adhere decorations to the door?
  8. I usually drink a Pina Colada and then get a shot of Kahlua and pour it on top. Miami Vice is half Pina Colada half strawberry Daiquiri, My absolute favorite right now is a French Martini - Pineapple juice, Chambord, and vodka; but if I am looking for something a lot less sweet, then I get a Very dry dirty (think filthy) Martini with bleu cheese stuffed green olives - Vodka, a drop of dry vermouth, and a lot of olive brine.
  9. I'm loving the photos of Rome. Have a great time. I can't wait to come along via your thread. 😃 I was wondering if when you get on the ship, if you could inquire about the bourbons on the ship. I am hoping there may be some different ones besides what is listed on the premium beverage package.
