What is "Main Character Syndrome?" Would that be, "All About Me?" Just curious, I've never heard that expression. 😃

We are sailing over Christmas, and we booked a ship excursion in the Cayman Islands because we will be there on Boxing Day. We booked an 8:45 timeslot because the website would not let us book a 10:15 slot. But after looking, we discovered that we don't arrive until 10 a.m. Will X reimburse us for our excursion as an OBC or will we be on the excursion at the first time of the day no matter when we arrive? One other question, will most shops be closed because of Boxing Day? Or, is this no big deal and it will be business as usual?

We have started doing this as well. We go in at least one day early, and then stay at an airport hotel after we disembark and then we fly home a day later.

Thanks. That is exactly what we are doing. Using it as our base for the whole family on Christmas Day in Cozumel. BIL & SIL are going to reserve one as well. Hopefully, they will be close to each other. That way more room for 14 people to come and go throughout the day.

you forgot boorish

We have been on almost 20 cruises, and it has only happened twice. On our 1st cruise at the Midnight buffet, and then a few years later when DH and I took our first "No Kids" cruise. Both of these incidents took place when we sailed Carnival. I don't think the line matters, it was just the only cruise line we sailed on where we shared a larger table with strangers.
