Definitely needs to check with his wife - she might not be a keen as him 🙈

I think so too, but there is a part of me that also wants him to experience a little drama.   BIL has changed every set plan of this trip to benefit himself and make everyone else's trip just a little bit harder.  So, I'm not inclined to suggest that he tell her.  I know that makes me a rotten SIL, but a taste of his own medicine might do him some good.  😬

  2. I haven't had a problem logging in... Yet.  There are some sub-headings that I have tried to click on, and I would get the "Bad Request" message.  I always (tongue in cheek) chalk it up to IT Department needing to have things to fix to keep their jobs.  😉

It can be quite aggravating though.  FIL had trouble logging in when he used Edge.  I told him to try in chrome, and  everything worked out fine.

Here is some recent info in the thread linked below.  There is a third party they have to contact to get pricing. Spoiler alert: expensive.  Not sure of the timeline needed, either, so may be too close to the sailing to arrange so he should start this process ASAP.

I did guide my BIL to the celebrity site for more information.  He has contacted our TA and she is going to look into what is needed for the arrangements.

Is it wrong that I am hoping there isn't enough time to arrange it? 😆

My next question for you is, how did you find the existing thread?  I try to search for existing  threads before I post, and it always comes up with nothing found.  I have been on CC for years, what iam I doing wrong?????  😂

  4. We sail in 20 days, X Reflection, and my BIL wants to surprise his wife with a vow renewal while on the cruise.  He has asked me what he needs to do.  I said, "Contact Celebrity."

Has anyone ever done a vow renewal on board before?  If so,   can you please share with me your experience?

    All helpful information is appreciated.

  5. We have a SV on reflection for  our Christmas cruise in a few weeks.  Then in May, we have a MCSS on Edge.  I have a food allergy, and we are going to see how the MDR does compared to Luminae.  If they are comparable (safety wise), then we will probably stay with Regular or Concierge verandas.    When we sail with Royal, I learned the hard way that I need the smaller kitchens from the suite dining or specialty restaurants.

  6. We always look at it as a slightly better location with some little perks.  When we are looking for a balcony cabin on a cruise, we price out the location we want, and usually Concierge is just a little bit more for a few extras so if we think it is worth the price increase for mostly better location, then we pull the trigger.

walking the interior hallways in hot/cold climates or poor weather conditions.  It’s also a great way to get in some stairs when you change decks.

DH and I will also walk the main corridors on decks 4 & 5 when it is not optimal conditions on the running track.  I also like to walk outside on deck 5.

Can't wait to read your thread.  We sail on the reflection next month.

My wife and I are planning a cruise to or from Hawaii in 2025. Any recommendations? We have been to Hawaii many times as I traveled there for business more than 60 times. We have cruised with Costa, Royal Caribbean (twice) and HAL (5 times). Any advice on the various ships (Princess, Celebrity, HAL and/or Carnival) will be most welcome. Thanks in advance.

We sailed on Quantum of the Seas from Vancouver to Hawaii in October 2022.  It was the best.  We flew into Vancouver 3 days early, and then spent 10 days on the ship.  with a stop at Victoria BC, then 5 sea days, 2 days in Maui, and then the last 2 in Honolulu.  We loved the sea days and the overnights.    We did have some rough seas the first few sea days, but once we got to warmer waters, everything was smooth sailing.  I would do it again in a hot second.  The next time, I want to continue on from Hawaii to Australia.  that would have added 18 more days. Next time.  😃

How far in advance did you book the excursion. I've noticed that sometimes excursions booked far out default to something like 8:00 or 8:15 and then are adjusted. What does your calendar say in your planner for the time?

We booked the excursion on Nov. 12.  Our calendar on the website shows the excursion at 8:45 on day 4.  The excursion does not show up at all on our calendar on the app.
