  1. Direct shuttle from train still running. We were only ones on the bus.
  2. So this one is no longer running? Either way we can get on at the train station. http://www.civitavecchia-servizi-pubblici-srl.it/portlink/
  3. Can anyone confirm that the shuttle is still running FROM the train station to the ship? And that it’s clearly marked right outside the station. Thanks
  4. What I learned since posting…What is important is the date the testing company puts on the test results. I am in Italy and emed uses UTC. So when I wanted to test at 0015 local time on Thursday the date on the test would have been Wednesday 2215. rapid test and trace let’s you select the time zone you are in and the date and time is based on that.
  5. I need a proctored test 2 days prior for a TA. I am already in Italy. If I use Rapid test and trace will the documents be dated for where I am of for where they are? I want to take it as early as possible on Thursday but that will still be Wed at home.
  6. You mentioned a travel agent - Did you book directly with Celebrity Air or did your travel agent? If you booked directly ask them to escalate it and have a supervisor contact you.
  7. We have had early dining unavailable when booked and been waitlisted but then after final payment we were confirmed for early.
  8. It all depends on the type of vacation you are looking for. Sometimes a port intensive cruise with Diving, snorkeling and lots of excursions. My next is a TA with 6 straight sea days plus a 3 more sprinkled in. I think when many people are unhappy with their cruise they booked the wrong cruise or ship for the vacation they wanted. I like both kinds but I'm usually looking for one or the other.
  9. We have taken three RCCL 4&5 day cruises out of LA since the restart. I would not call them booze cruises at all. The Carnival ones yes. We repeatedly commented about what a different crowd and vibe the RCCL cruise was compared to the equivelent Carnival one. It was a nice crowd having a good time. No loud drunk party groups. I would assume that the Celebrity ones would be the same.
  10. Me too for same reasons. I have the BinaxNow tests but those boxes are huge when I'm only taking carryon. I was going to pay for this today and take the smaller tests but now I'm glad I had not got to it.
  11. Is this accepted for an cruise requiring proctored tests (Transatlantic)? So I use my own test (free Govt one) and just make the video appt?
  12. Yes, make sure your celebrity account has your royal number listed and visa versa. We just made Diamond on Royal it now shows us as elite on Celebrity when I log in.
  13. I'm on a similar Celebrity cruise (also never before) but our boarding time is 11:00 am - we are Elite in Aqua so i'm not sure if either of those gave us an earlier time. But, at least by 11:00. How are you arriving at the port? If it's by train there are some restaurants by the train station for a cup of coffee then you can take the port shuttle to the ship.
  14. 45 days - check in opened today for my October 22 cruise
  15. I recently called - it was $135pp to upgrade with Elite discount for our 15 night cruise - $9pp per day
  16. From the FAQ - so yes you can test tomorrow if your sailing says 2 days befoe How do I calculate which days I may take my pre-cruise COVID-19 test? When calculating which days you can take your test, be aware that the day you set sail is not counted as one of the days, unless the country of embarkation stipulates that the test be taken within 24 hours of arrival. For example, if you are setting sail on a Saturday, and you are required to test 3 days before your sailing, you can take your test on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday; and for 2 days in advance, you can take the test Thursday or Friday.
  17. Thank You. With the problems they are having stock I am not too confident that the better selections will even be available on a transatlantic. It's $135 pp to upgrade for the whole cruise with elite dicount. That's a lot of paying an occasional price difference on an old fashioned.
  18. Here is what's currently on the web site as posted 8/26 and the 6 sailings that require vaccine and monitored testing Transatlantic Travel Requirements as of August 26, 2022 Below is everything you need to know to ensure a smooth boarding process for our upcoming Transatlantic sailings. Please note that travel requirements may vary by disembarkation port and the destinations visited on your sailing. Be sure you’re aware of both homeport country and Celebrity Cruises vaccine and testing requirements as they may differ. We will continually evaluate and update these requirements and protocols as new information becomes available. Booked guests will be advised of the latest requirements leading up to departure. Please see below sailings for which protocols are currently available: October 12, 2022 Celebrity Beyond sailing from Barcelona, Spain to Cape Liberty, New Jersey October 20, 2022 Celebrity Silhouette sailing from Southampton, England to Miami, Florida October 22, 2022 Celebrity Constellation sailing from Rome (Civitavecchia), Italy to Tampa, Florida October 24, 2022 Celebrity Edge sailing from Rome (Civitavecchia), Italy to Fort Lauderdale, Florida October 29, 2022 Celebrity Apex sailing from Rome (Civitavecchia), Italy to Fort Lauderdale, Florida October 31, 2022 Celebrity Reflection sailing from Barcelona, Spain to Fort Lauderdale, Florida Sailing Requirements Checklist Required Travel Documentation to Board Proof of Vaccine is required for all guests regardless of age. Negative Test Result must be presented by all guests upon arrival at port. Health Declaration to be completed exclusively on our Celebrity Cruises App via check-in. Passport is needed for all guests with a validity of at least 6 months after their sailing’s return date. All guests must check their Visa and ESTA requirements before traveling. Proof of Residence may be needed for guests traveling with a passport that was issued from a country different from their country of residence. For Itineraries that have a port of call in Bermuda, the following form needs to be completed before arrival to the country: Bermuda Travel Authorization: The Bermuda government requires that all guests complete an online Travel Authorization form, upload their negative test results, and pay an associated fee directly through Bermuda’s dedicated website located here. A receipt of this form, digital or paper copy will need to be presented at check-in in order to board the ship. If this is not completed, it will cause delays at the terminal. This form is available beginning 30 days prior to sailing and all guests must present their approved authorization form in order to board their sailing. Health Protocols and Requirements Vaccines In order to sail on a Transatlantic crossing with us, we will require all guests to be fully vaccinated. COVID-19 booster vaccine shots are not currently required to sail but are highly recommended to ensure a smoother vacation experience. Guests are considered fully vaccinated against COVID-19 if 2 weeks have passed since their second dose in a 2-dose series (such as Pfizer or Moderna vaccines); or, 2 weeks after a one dose series such as Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine. Vaccines approved and accepted by the TGA (Therapeutic Goods Administration) will be considered valid. Guests with a mixed series of any two of the following vaccines taken within a minimum of 28 days between doses, will also be considered fully vaccinated: Pfizer/Cominarty Moderna/Spikevax Johnson & Johnson/Janssen AstraZeneca/Covishield/Vaxzevria Sinovac/Coronavac Sinopharm/BBIBP-CorV Covaxin Nuvaxovid Any guest who has received one dose of a vaccine (other than Johnson & Johnson/Janssen) will not be considered fully vaccinated. Documentation of full vaccination must be provided at the terminal as a condition for boarding. Please plan to carry your vaccination documentation with you at all times while in port should local authorities or businesses request it to help facilitate entry and/or experiences. Testing Requirements Pre-Arrival Covid-19 Testing All guests must present a digital or physical copy of a supervised, negative COVID-19 test result at check-in to board their sailing. Guests must present a negative antigen test result taken within 2 days prior to sailing. Pre-arrival testing must be completed by an authorized provider at your own expense. Guests who have recently recovered from COVID-19 may present a Certificate of Recovery and proof of the positive PCR test result taken between 11-90 days prior to the sail date in order to board. In addition, a vaccination card must also be presented. We will not accept a Certificate of Recovery in place of a vaccination record. Additionally, please be aware that some ports of call do not accept a Certificate of Recovery for the purposes of debarking and enjoying the destination. If applicable to your itinerary, you will be advised of the latest requirements leading up to departure. PLEASE NOTE: Bermuda does not accept Certificates of Recovery and will not exempt guests from presenting a negative COVID-19 test result. Guests who are unable to present a negative COVID-19 test result, regardless of whether or not they have a Certificate of Recovery, are unable to debark the ship in Bermuda.
  19. Someone in our rollcall posted that they called Celebrity and talked to a Supervisor. They said that the monitored testing only applies to Bermuda sailings. They sent her a document but its just a word document that can be edited. So who knows at this point. Hopefully they make the contradictory language clearer but we know how that goes. Still no e-mail regarding the changes.
  20. Has anyone recently upgraded onboard - since the price increase in packages and upgrades? We are on a 15 night cruise and would like to upgrade for the last week only if the price is OK. By that time we will know the alcohol choices onboard.
  21. It was added Friday I would hope they are sending out an e-mail. In addition to the monitored test I'm sure many unvax people booked cruises when the first set of after Sept 5 guidelines came out - that did not indicate an exception for TA's
  22. I Think the TA exception was added more recently because I had specifically looked for it and it only said Canada, Bermuda and Greece. But, in addition to vaccinations required testing must be proctored. Pre-Arrival Covid-19 Testing All guests must present a digital or physical copy of a supervised, negative COVID-19 test result at check-in to board their sailing. Guests must present a negative antigen test result taken within 2 days prior to sailing. Pre-arrival testing must be completed by an authorized provider at your own expense.
