Leaving on cruise May 14. Where does X buy their lettuce? With the e-coli outbreak is it wise to have salads?

LUVCRUZN: Good comment Sue. I think the subject has played out with X cruisers and non X's voicing their opinions. I think it is time the moderator closes the thread as it has been beat to death. Although, I doubt it they close it.

Over the years I have read many useful posts and opinions. Not to name anyone but several people have responded with credible posts offering factual information. The posters seem to be frequent cruisers on different lines and have posted many times on many subjects. Now it seems there are posters who have one negative obsession under the guise they are seeking opinions. I do not think they have succeeded in changing cruisers to abandon their chosen ships. I do respect their right to be continually negative.

Someone needs to get a life and maybe go get a burger and pizza on land.

Glad that nancyshaw commented again on how bad the food is on Celebrity. How many times do we have to hear the same story. I think we get the point that she and Doug and Cindy do not like X. I have not cancelled my next cruises. I guess I will go and enjoy myself along with the many other fellow cruisers. I board in 17 days. Hopefully X will still be in business.

Another mess. I completed check in several weeks ago. The main page shows check in completed. Now I receive a message that all the info is missing. I have printed by Express Pass several weeks ago. Anyone else having same problem?

Any suggestions for arranging private shuttle or limo for 2 couples from POM to hotel. Need someone dependable and prompt. Thanks for the reply in advance.

I can only think of couple of menu items that were not up to par in the MDR. But it could have been my taste. Last Dec on the Silho that happened. Did not rant and rave and bash X on CC boards. No but in 26 days leaving on the Equinox along with others we met on previous cruises. (To bad Ann Marie and Frank can't join us) The ship is sold out I think that tells one something.

There was one recent thread where the OP said good-bye to Celebrity and among other things said the MDR food was inedible. That thread was very lively and highly disputed. Please don't ever take one comment one way or another as gospel on these boards. I think this "MDR inedible" topic needs to be closed IMO.

Agree. This thread is serving no purpose. Again why are sailings filled with happy people?

Bo: I do agree with your comments. But I do tire of continual negative posts on basically the same subject. Many people have different opinions and likes. I believe the cruise offers something for everyone. If one does not like it don't cruise and go quietly away. With ships being filled some people must enjoy their experience. I doubt that the naysayers are having much impact. Most of the people we have met on X are repeats with positive attitudes. Maybe some people do not like people having a good experience.

A staff member may ask for a specific ship. Celebrity makes an attempt to assigned married couples to the same ship. Captains may request specific Senior Officers and Celebrity attempts to give them"their team". Sometimes people are assigned to a ship based on languages they speak. This is driven by specific itineraries. In the end, Celebrity is responsible to staffing decisions and promotions.

How are staff positions selected for each ship. Does the staff member bid for a particular ship for each time period? Who makes the final decision? Thank you for answering.

What is the point of continual Celebrity bashing by certain individuals? I do not think it has changed the opinions of those who cruise on Celebrity. What counts is that each person has their choice of cruise lines. Maybe it is time to close this thread and move to something more productive rather than continual negativity.

If you choose Concierge, you will be in the lousy MDR, We found the food unacceptable on our last 3 cruises.

Please define lousy. What made food unacceptable? Why did you go 2 more times?

why do so many adults cheat?? Last cruise we checked our own answers and the group beside us wrote answers in that they missed and marked then as right .. then they won fist place . Ruins it for others

The same reason they break in line in front of you. Why they load up on food in the buffet. Why they hog the chairs by the pool. A lot of classless people on a cruise.

Are the uber drivers close to Miami cruise port? Any know about wait time? Thank you for the response.

Totally disagree based on our last 3 cruises, two on Infinity and one Eclipse. Same old menus, but worse quality. Huge amount of salt to give food taste. That was an off the record comment made by a waiter. Another off the record comment was, " the food in MDR is bad, so Luminae and Blu look better"

nancyshaw must wake up on the wrong side of the bed. Probably one of the most negative people in responding about Celebrity. Yes we have some less than good meals in the MDR but also had some in our favorite restaurants. Reached the point I bypass her comments.

Thank you for your comments. In looking at the map I noticed Cooper's Hawk Winery is about 3 miles away. Their stores are generally in upscale neighborhoods.
