  1. No, our offers have only improved. But so has our spend. Our ex-daughter in-law still gets offers after years of not cruising but they are much, much weaker.
  2. I had to re setup mine today as well but is it really new? I thought it had been using facial ID for quite sometime.
  3. Great pic of old school midnight buffet. It’ll never happen today but I wish we could see one of those once a week on 7 day sailings.
  4. Our experience is that slot play earns way more comps than table games unless you are playing $25+ per hand on tables for extended periods. Also our experience that you need 10k+ points to earn decent comps (ocean view/balcony, casino free play, drinks). Apparently some have received comps with very limited play but not our experience. That being said, I will say my ex-daughter in law gets offers every week (I get her email offers for some reason) and she hasn’t been on a cruise in over 8 years.
  5. And not to discount your possible reasons but this ship is HOT. We’ve been on 30+ cruises and have never experienced the temperature issues that this ship has.
  6. We put this complaint in our post cruise survey.
  7. It seems to be different areas of the ship are inconsistent for sure. We just got off Sunday and our experience was hot in many areas through the ship. Room was thankfully freezing cold.
  8. I’ve seen many people paying off their account with cash or a different card than what the had used at check in.
  9. Should be plenty of Ubers. We had one in 4 minutes. Btw, you should be fine any day of the week but for Horizon it was Sunday and zero traffic up to FLL.
  10. We’ve been on both and very much enjoyed both of them. Mardi Gras has many more food options both for lunch and dinner, more venues for cocktails, a bigger casino, and overall quite a bit bigger. Mexican Rivera is nice but you get the Caribbean with Mardi Gras. Overall you’ll have great time on either but if you’ll only be doing one cruise coming up, I’d vote for Mardi Gras.
  11. We were on Horizon today. Had priority debarkation and walked off the ship at 7:05am with our luggage. We took Uber and we’re checked in and through security (tsa pre) by 7:45 at FLL ready for our 9:40 flight.
  12. Ok, so speciality restaurants were comfortable but where we were in the casino was super hot. There were a few cool spots but overall temps were hot. Definitely the worst overall temperatures we’ve experienced in five cruises since restart.
  13. We usually don’t either but was our daughter in-law’s first cruise so thought we get a couple.
  14. We were on this same sailing. The ship’s temperature throughout was horrible - hot in most every public area. Fortunately, our room was freezing cold. Agree with your fabulous section. Service was great throughout ship. We didn’t experience the horrible you did. We never enjoy the buffet at all and it was about the same as always. We noticed one or two rude people but overall thought people were very friendly and nice. On five cruises since restart Guy’s burger has been inconsistent for sure. I actually enjoyed the fries this week and the buns were great early but the last days were not great, never cold just not great. Seems like supply issues is creating inconsistencies across all the ships.
  15. Has anyone else ever noticed that the ship photos are sometimes edited? We ordered a few digital photos on the Horizon this week and when we got off the ship today we noticed one of us had one leg edited out of the picture. Wish I had noticed before purchasing. 😀
  16. We have had zero luck with WIFI calling on our five cruises since the restart. I remember being able to previously. That said, we were able to use face time a few times. Never tried Skype or anything else.
  17. Interesting. Our experience is complete opposite. We’ve had amazing meals, much better than any land based teppanyaki.
  18. And people going to grocery store or mall or sporting event or general travel aren’t reporting either. It’s not unique to cruising. Been on 4 cruises since restart and caught Covid during normal at home activities, not on a cruise. Always agreed that testing limited exposure on cruises but not so sure anymore as it is everywhere and past protocols don’t necessarily prevent current rates of infection, anywhere.
  19. No way to really prove the testing is limiting the number of cases. Based on reports of people coming off of cruises testing positive seems similar to those testing positive not on cruises.
  20. Last fall we answered a question that we had been out of the county in the last 14 days (not sure that’s still asked). We had to go through secondary screening at embarkation. Double checked our paperwork (negative test specifically) and sent us on in.
  21. One difference is that out of TX cheers does not start until 2nd day but the drinks everywhere starts immediately when you board ship.
  22. I’m not sure they dropped the bar in your room. Just below what you circled says early room access with your preferred drink waiting for you.
  23. Should be more than enough for great offers. The first offers we get right after a cruise are usually pretty weak. After a few weeks back they seem to get back to normal.
  24. We have a few on the books so hopefully. We also have a place in TX - a little closer to a cruise port.
