  1. Just bought 3 @ $500. Worked perfectly. Have them saved to my apple wallet.
  2. They are business decisions that the company feels will drive the most profit (or lowest loss). They may seem like knee jerk cutbacks/changes but I’m sure a lot of thought goes into the decisions. It’s happening in board rooms rooms all across the world right now. Doesn’t mean we have to like them but at least for now, there are other places to spend our money if we don’t like them. There’s a line in the sand that will make each of us switch products. It’s up to the companies to make the difficult decisions.
  3. What is Lucky Bowl & Masala Tiger? And there is no JiJi’s, just Chibang for similar option at lunch.
  4. We enjoyed P&A twice a couple weeks ago on Mardi Gras. The filet on Sunday was very good. The pork chop on Friday was a little dry but still good with the sauces available on the table. The sides are small as other have said but you can get as many as you want.
  5. Carnival knows who’s vaccinated so you didn’t have to show again. And those without a vaccine were not allow to get off at that port.
  6. Interesting to see how different experiences can be. We were on the same cruise. We had great bar tender service at all the bars we went to but admittedly, did not go to Alchemy as it was always packed. We also had great experience at Chibang and ended up going twice. The small sides were a bit odd at Guys P&A but you could ask for as many as you wanted. Really enjoyed all the different food choices compared to other Carnival ships. Overall, we had a great time and will be going back on Mardi Gras next month.
  7. On Mardi Gras and crew here said fleet wide.
  8. It was said that said most homeports enforce the rules. If it can be pointed out other ports on this thread then I felt it was ok for me to let others know about that port.
  9. Didn’t happen on Mardi Gras two days ago. Lots of 12:30, 1:00 or later people checking in during our 10-10:30 time.
  10. Booked Wednesday for a Saturday cruise. We were in TX and cruise left out of Long Beach. This was last fall when you still needed a COVID test. Needless to say it was a crazy 48 hours getting tested, packed and flights to CA.
  11. I was on Horizon in July and we purchased on the last evening and was able to take it back to the room. I can’t remember the exact time (maybe 6-7pm) but I remember waiting until then to purchase so I could take it immediately.
  12. Bankruptcy doesn’t always mean “out of business” or liquidation. A company could restructure their debt. Stockholders may be out money but business could survive and customer deposits wouldn’t necessarily be lost. I think we are a long way from that happening.
  13. Maybe. Companies are making difficult decisions. You have any thoughts on what a winning strategy might look like?
  14. Happening with many businesses. Cost cutting and difficult business decisions are going on everywhere - both on land and at sea.
  15. Agree, our opinions. The clientele thing has happened everywhere - cruises, everywhere. Society goes though changes and as we age our opinions / beliefs / behaviors change. Businesses try and keep up to drive profits and will always alienate some but attract others.
  16. I think your points are very valid. However I don’t think Carnival is the only brand that has changed over the years as many on here think. My first RCL and Carnival cruises back in the 80’s were drastically different than both are today. Many changes are positive and some are disappointing. But to think Carnival is the only brand that has changed over the years is plain wrong. And not only cruises have changed. Almost every business in every industry has had to make cost saving decisions and in many cases has degraded the product. When that happens we as consumers can find the product or service we prefer.
  17. That’s a business decision they blamed on supply chain. They should have messaged it better.
  18. So only Carnival has supply issues? Every business/industry has been impacted by supply chain issues.
  19. Yeah. I figured maybe it was souvenir glass. I usually just head to bar myself.
