  1. Glad you enjoyed. We really enjoy the shows on Panorama as well.
  2. This is true for all drink purchases cheers or not. And yes, includes St Thomas.
  3. We saw Million Dollar Quartet on NCL and thought it was excellent. Cats on RCL, not so much. Playlist shows are enjoyable but it does depend on the lead singers.
  4. I think it’s average total bet and buy in. But not all bets earn you points (pass line in craps does but place bets not so much). You have to play for hours for it to even get you any points. Not sure it would be much fun making that bet for hours trying to earn points hoping green doesn’t show up lol. I used to only play table games and never got the great offers wife did playing video poker/slots. Now I mostly just play slots, earn way better offers and usually net out way better than before.
  5. I had a casino DOU anywhere and that does start when the ship leaves port in TX, not the next day like cheers.
  6. You can buy just the digital photos. We did this on both Panorama and Horizon. Purchased through the app and was able to download to my phone. It was not put on a flash drive, just download to phone.
  7. Well said. These business decisions are not isolated to just Carnival. Businesses make these types of decisions all the time both pre and post Covid. I don’t agree with a lot of changes but I know thoughtful, difficult business decisions were made. If I don’t agree, I find another business to support. Many times decisions are made based on customer feedback so we need to be careful what we ask for. None of us like to be nickel and dimmed but many don’t like paying for things they don’t use. This has been happening in every industry for years. Banking for example never had the charges they do today but consumers demanded different pricing because they didn’t use the teller line or write checks, etc. now we pay more than ever. How about cable tv and cord cutting? Consumers didn’t want to pay for the 100’s of cable channels they didn’t use. Now you have to subscribe to many different streaming services at maybe even a higher price than what you had with cable. It seems cruise lines are going this same route. Good thing though as there are many different lines out there to choose from that may give you the experience you expect.
  8. Good to hear Panorama may be starting debarkation at times similar to ther ports now. We’ve sailed her twice since restart and both times debarkation didn’t start until around 10-10:30.
  9. You win way before 15, but I’m always one to go the extra mile 😀
  10. I thought I would give it a shot for our October cruise as we’ve used it on two previous cruises. I was able to just add the new booking and upload my vax card. Checked back a little later and it said “Ready to Sail”. I didn’t have to delete app and re-install or anything. Does seem like no time savings now as looking at the app on my phone vs looking at actual vax card would be the same since there is no testing to verify.
  11. Wife and I have been able to combine our offers multiple time and both end up with the DOU everywhere even though offer is only for one. Because we both have the offer our PVP is able to get us both drinks even though in one cabin.
  12. Because people don’t understand the economics of offering different things for different people and how those things keep the overall costs down for everyone. Bars, casinos, spas, pictures, excursions (all of which have always cost additional amounts) keep the overall cruise fares down. And when economics change, business decisions have to be made. If this type of cruising isn’t for you there are plenty other places to spend your money.
  13. Very true. By and large people are decent and want the best for everyone. But the small vocal complainers are somehow changing everyday life for the majority that don’t even want the changes or even care about the complainers issue in the first place. It’s a weird world we live in now.
  14. Is greyhound supposed to be some type of insult? It’s a 108 year old company. I’d say that’s a comparison to a highly successful company that has had to navigate through many, many difficult times and is still going strong today. Every cruise line (and their investors) would take that type of success.
  15. Totally agree. I’d be spending time researching the other boards looking for a great vacation alternative.
  16. And we can decide to sail other lines just as I decided to never fly frontier again when years ago it was my preferred airline. I’m not going to bash their business model. I just choose other airlines now.
  17. You must have a card in to cash out any credits you have as there are no tickets like in Vegas. You can load money to machines from either your card or cash.
  18. Does Carnival still have any ships with indoor cigar bars? I remember they did years ago but I thought all were all long gone.
  19. Or it’s a company making business decisions they feel are the best decisions in todays environment of high inflation and supply issues. At least consumers have a choice to take their money wherever they want.
  20. There is still a piano bar on the new deck plans.
  21. Previous player maybe wasn’t using a card. Auto load happens all the time for me including Mardi Gras.
