  1. Just book the wifi with guest services when you board to be sure you get your loyalty discount.
  2. It seems the difference is being on deck 8 instead of deck 7. Deck 7 has an advantage that the laundry room is down the hall. Booked on my 4th Aza cruise on deck 7 Veranda again , center of ship for a smooth sailing.
  3. Just did this. Your hotel will hold your bags after check out. Head back to pick them up and Uber to the ship. Check in begins at 2pm.
  4. You must of booked the entire ship for your friends. Looking forward to thanking you. 😁
  5. You can bring as much wine on board as you can carry. NO limit. As to bringing wine home Can I bring back alcohol back to the United States for my personal use or as a gift? Generally, one liter per person may be entered into the U.S. duty-free by travelers who are 21 or older. Additional quantities may be entered, although they will be subject to duty and IRS taxes.
  6. My wife does not drink, so I typically finished only half the bottle opened. Took the unfinished bottle back to my room and put in the refrigerator. When I came the next night for dinner, I just told the staff I already paid the corkage. No additional charge and they didn’t have to search for the bottle. Very easy!
  7. Just off a back to back from Lisbon to Venice on the Journey. Chose not to buy the Ultimate Wine package and instead in the big ports bought a few bottles and put in my backpack on the way back to the ship. Easy to search for wine stores on google maps most of which I did before the cruise. Was drinking fabulous local wines between 25-40 Euros that I might never of found in the United States and paying the $10 corkage and was much happier than a prior experience with the Ultimate Package Sept 2022 on the Pursuit. Hope they keep the corkage at $10 which is a bargain.
  8. Not on the Journey unfortunately. It seems they need an IT expert.
  9. Internet barely useable on the Journey still. Currently in the Med heading to Valencia. Difficult to even do a speed test. IT dept is working on it when questioned. My hotspot has picked up the shore so been using that for my primary connectivity.
  10. On the Journey. I don't think they have activated the starlink system. Excruciatingly slow internet. Staff is on the same slow system and was having trouble too. Will be onboard through Venice and will report if any difference noted.
  11. Seems there is always something somewhere to eat.
  12. Must use the orange golf balls in the snow. 🤷‍♂️
  13. The showers do get some comments on the board. Being that is not a high criteria in my choice of cruise line I find other benefits on Azamara which is why I am coming back . Must admit it does make the extra circular activities in the shower more challenging but as flunk out from the Cirque Soleil school of acrobatics we can use the area for practicing our routine for when we reapply for entry.
  14. Sorry if I wasn't clear. My points as of this moment are the same on both Celebrity and Azamara. They carried over from Celebrity after my August 2022, my vey first cruise with Azamara. My next cruise on Azamara won't get added added to Celebrity due to the companies being separated although some recent cruisers since Feb 1st have stated they had. It remains unknown if those may be taken away once the joint data base is finally separated. I have not sailed on Royal Caribbean for 6 years. The point structure is different there but my status appears to be roughly equivalent.
  15. Look at the reviews on TripAdvisor. Not good.
  16. I took my first Azamara cruise last August. By a month afterwards all my points from Celebrity/Royal Carib were added so I have had the same point level at all 3 cruise lines. If you provide proof of sailing from last year your points should carry over. It just might be after the new website before you will get anyone’s attention. Try again reaching out after April 1.
  17. You would have had to have sailed with Azamara prior to Feb 1, 2023 for points to carry over.
  18. When it comes time to complete the registration you will be offered a time to board which has been earliest at 2pm.
  19. Thank you for editing to only show your foot. 🤣. Used a magnetic clip on my last cruise that worked fine and kept the water off the floor.
  20. Totally agree with you. Rome deserves several days to even scratch the surface. I have taken many long rides to see a tiny taste of a city. If you don’t think you would be back a drive by the many ruins is a must. If you want to experience a location you have to get off the bus.
  21. Rome is 2 hours away by bus so not much time there. I'm on a cruise before you and found tarquinia-tuscania-shore-excursion . Rome is great but just a few hours doesn't leave time to see much.
  22. When you make your dinner reservation they will be able to tell you when white night is so you won’t miss it.
  23. Unless specifically designated for excursions yes.
  24. This is part of the file of our last year trip. We rented a 4 wheel drive and drove the south shore ourself which I highly advise as our cruise did the north shore of Iceland. Driving was easy as the roads are excellent. Hope this is helpful but feel to reach out for more info. Iceland 2022.pdf
  25. Boarding the Journey on March 25th. A few excursion increased in price but most the same.
