  1. I know I could back before covid and all the changes, but as of now can I bring the kids with me in the priority check in line or do we have to do the "ordinary" line ? Thank you,
  2. Hello everyone, Any of you went to this beach ? Is it safe ? How did you go from the cruise port, taxi, walk ? Is it a nice beach ? Thank you all in advance,
  3. Fastest way to the caves is by taxi from the Dockyard ( about 45 minutes and expect around $70 ) Less expensive is ferry to Hamilton and taxi to caves ( around 1h of travel time ) If time is the most important thing here, I would ( and will in January ) hire a taxi driver for a 4 hour tour and I will ask him to drive us directly to the caves as soon as the ship docks. I will have him wait for us ( the Crystal cave takes about 35 minutes if no line to acces it ) at the cave, then take about 2h to drive back to the Dockyard and doing some sightseeing on the way. Yes it will be more expensive, but I will be sure to do the roundtrip in 4h.
  4. Good evening, It looks like Bernads Tour is all booked 4 months in advance for every tour they offer for every hour they have 🤔 So plan B is to hire a taxi from the cruise port to Marigot, is it easy to get a taxi at the cruise port ? How much would that be ? Thank you all in advance,
  5. I am past final payment and the button doesn't work, "reservation number not found" error 🤦🏻‍♂️
  6. It all depends on how many ships are in port that day and the time they leave. For example, my ship will be there from 7am to 3pm, obviously I will leave the beach at 1:30 at the latest. If all ships have that schedule that day, the beach will be empty by 2 or 2:30 so you would have the beach for yourself then in the afternoon. And it is always hard to get chairs and umbrella at Megans if it is crowded even just a bit, the rental place is not the best...
  7. Well it took 35 minutes on the phone with NCL and they will refund what I paid this morning as it was a "glitch" with the server. Now have to wait 7-10 days to get it and hope I get it 🤷🏻‍♂️
  8. Has this ever happened to you ? Made final payment last Tuesday, received the confirmation email with the usual "congrats you are booked", balance was 0$ This morning I got an email "payment reminder" with a balance to pay and warning that my cruise could be cancelled because final payment date was yesterday. So I paid said amount right away, got a second "congrats you are booked" email and I can see that the cruise fare for my third guess went up !?! How can NCL increase my fare like that ?? And on top of it, the payment summary in the email now shows I overpaid by $3...but I didn't choose the amount, it was already selected on "my ncl" 🤣 I think the system is broken 🤦🏻‍♂️ Yes I will call Ncl when they open, but this ever happened to you ??
  9. Went a couple of times already to Magens bay and I would not rely on renting a chair and umbrella on the beach. Service is...well...almost non existent . Bring a large towel, sunscreen and a hat !
  10. Bernards Tour for the win ! Did it before and will do it again on my next cruise with the teens.
  11. You exit the ship as soon as possible, you take a 4 hour island tour round trip to the dockyark. Then you have some time to walk around the dockyard and even play a game of mini golf by the sea. The taxi drivers will get you back to the dockyard in time, don't worry. Bermuda is beautiful, enjoy it !
  12. I will pre-pay for my next cruise just in case there is a glitch with the credit card once there. As they do not accept cash anymore, what is the back-up ? I preferto pay a couple of $ extra and have the peace of mind.
  13. I did just that, thank you for the tip. To bad the rep yesterday didn't try to help me and offer me this solution... thank you,
  14. Well I just called NCL, they can't make the reservation for me for Moderno and Teppanyaki unless I pay now for the meals even if I want to use my platinum vouchers for them. Guess it is going to be a mad run to the reservation desk on embarkation day then... UNLESS... I will be sailing with my 2 teens. I have to buy a 3 meal SDP for my daughter. Do you think that once I make that purchase I will be able to book the restaurants without paying for them upfront ?
  15. Entertainment says "too early to book, available 29/09 " ( in 5 days or 120 days out ) 🤷🏻‍♂️
  16. I am latitudes platinum and I tried to book entertainment and restaurants last night. Entertainment says "too early to book" ( but I am 125 days out ) and was able to book 1 restaurant. The other 2 that I wanted to book and use the platinum vouchers once on board are available but I would have to pay for them at time of booking. So, the latitudes perk of pre booking early was 1 restaurant for my 10 day cruise...wow I feel so privileged
  17. Same kind of experience than Monkey Land but in the port of Taino Bay.
  18. I have watched alot of videos too and since I will be docked in Taino Bay I really can't see any reason to pay extra $ and use alot of the port time for an excursion that will have the same interaction with the monkeys in the end. In both case it will be a 40% chance of one peeing on your head or shoulder anyways 😉 For me even if the interaction with the monkeys would be a little better on an excursion it won't justify the $ and time spent for it. Further more if we do get pee on us we are just a sort walk to the ship to clean up and continue our day in port.
  19. Never had that offered to me in any of my past cruises 🤷‍♂️ I will see in a few months 😃
  20. NCL offers 2 and 3/4 day cruise to Bermuda. Perfect amount of time to explore from the Dockyard to St-Georges and almost everything in between.
  21. I would not book an excursion with the cruise line. In fact, why is this offered as an excursion in the first place ? You take the ferry from the Dockyard to Hamilton. The parade is right there on main street. You take the ferry back to the ship and voila. Public ferry has ( had in the past for sure ) an extented schedule on these days. I did it in the past and I really don't see how a ship sponsored excursion would improve it.
  22. Been there a few times already, I know what it looks like. Still the world's smallest and feeding the fish with bread is fun anyways.
