  1. I am sorry, english is not my first language. I said I "feared for my life" because of all the hate I got on this board when I posted my review and said I was dissapointed by the beach ( at that time, it might have changed in the past 8 years ). The amout of insults I got over this... unbelievable. It was the reason I left this board for many many months. In order to not live that again, I will not post anymore in this thread. I gave my honest opinion about it. Some love, some hate, but we are all entitled to our own opinion. Thank you,
  2. Not confusing the beaches at all. IMHO Magens is way better ( or was back in the day ) ....
  3. Last time on the Island was in 2016 and we did a tour with Bernards. Will be booking them again in January 2024 for sure. On my first time we took a taxi to Mullet Bay beach, spent a couple of hours there, then walked to Maho, spent a couple of hours there also and took a taxi to port. Second time was with Bernards, a little bit of beach time but a lot of Island covered by the tour. tour guide was "mailman" he was so funny and informative.
  4. Monkey Island is right there in Taino Bay, but Monkeyland is an excursion about 30 minutes away from Taino Bay. You did Monkey Island in Taino bay ? You have to reserve your time there ? Is there a way to book it online or you have to show up there, reserve and come back later for your time ? Thank you in advance,
  5. I watched a video on YT this weekend about Bernards tour and now I remember that I did that tour back in 2016. It was a great tour and I will do the same tour again in January with my teens. They are on a schedule and we do not waste any unnecessary time at the stops. Stop at marigot was long enough to enjoy pastries at a bakery and a little shoping also. I do recommand.
  6. One thing I couldn't find about the lazy river and the poll, is there a fee to use it ? Thank you in advance,
  7. I also will be there in January. Did a good research on Taino Bay ( great recent videos on YT ) and I will do the monkey experience in port with the kids. Will walk to umbrella and pink street if the weather is good. Cable car was on my list but it gets so many bad reviews about the looong wait to get in ( anywhere from 1h to 2 h each way 😲 ) Ok, the view looks nice but not for that amount of time lost in line up and down. Still thinking about the shark encounter at Ocean World , a bit expensive but looks cool. The lazy river in Taino Bay could be our last stop before getting back to the ship.
  8. Yes you can, I emailed my PCC 2 weeks ago about that. If I ask for a price adjustement BEFORE 120 days from sailing I will get the lower price and keep the $250 "bonus" NCL added to my $250. It is not treated as a cancel and rebook BEFORE 120 days from sailing.
  9. I am kinda stuck in buying it for my "passenger #3" I get 2 x 2 meals with my Latitudes and 2 x 1 meal with FAS, but only for pax 1-2 So my daughter who is my third pax has no meal included. I want to do Cagney's, Moderno and Teppenyaki. A la carte in those 3 restaurants will be higher then the 3 meal package ($225 CAD ) for sure. Prices are way higher this time around
  10. https://www.ncl.com/sites/default/files/Beverage_Package_Flyer_04_23.pdf for the changes
  11. For me it is the vodka I am not happy with. I am a martini guy, they took out completely Belvedere and moved Grey Goose to + .... now what I am going to get in my martini ? If I want a Grey Goose martini do I have to pay a couple of $ as an upcharge or would they charge the total price of the drink to my account ?
  12. A few years back I went to Sapphire beach. I wrote a review about it (not a good one) and I almost feared for my life 😅 Wow people are so passionate about it, but it was ordinary ( chairs, how crowded it was, service, facilities, etc... ) I will be back in a few months and I won't be visiting this beach. Magens bay beach is my goto beach now.
  13. And they do both sides of the Island ? If so, is there a little bit of time in Marigot to visit ? Thank you in advance,
  14. I will be back to Bermuda in january 2024...finally I understand that the Bermuda ferry to St-Georges is not in service in winter, correct ? Does the ferry to Hamilton work in winter ? In any case, there is now a NCL ferry ( I didn't know that ) and it would be active when we dock in Bermuda ? First time to Bermuda for my kids and we only have a 7h long stay, so being efficient will be the key !
  15. yes you can choose. There was a topic on this bord about blue flag taxis in the past. I used them 3 times with reservation for a specific driver because of this bord. It is a great way to tour the island and they do customize the tour at your demand. In example we wanted to go up the Gibbs Hill lighthouse, he waited for us at the bottom and even took pictures of us at the top that he texted me after. You can choose where not to go and the drop off location.
  16. Absolutely right, with the bright sun it is pink"ish" With clouds and if the sand is wet then it is a much deeper pink. Just don't expect to find dark intense pink and you won't be dissapointed 😉
  17. It might have changed in the past years since I went to Bermuda, but the few times I went to St-Georges there were no taxis waiting in town. We had to wait for a taxi to come and drop passengers into town and then grab their taxi to the caves. Like I said, it might be different now... Hamilton is full of taxis, I will take the ferry to Hamilton and then a cab ride to the caves myself on my next trip, unless the schedule for the ferry is way better for St-Georges and taxi availability is better.
  18. As for the meals at the specialty restaurant, you have to book them on the ship or I can book them 125 days out ? I am pretty sure the restaurant included in the Free at Sea is only offered on the ship, no pre-booking ...
  19. Ok I just got an answer from my PCC. If I a ask for a fare reduction before 121 days out, I will not loose the $250 NCL added on top of my $250 on the CruiseFirst voucher. Basically, good news 😉
  20. The inside IF on the 5th deck offers "square" cabin that holds 3. Seems like it is much wider ( and shorter ) than a regular inside like IB/IC on higher deck and the large counter and mirror are located on the side of the cabin. I understand the "living area" is on the side of the bed and not in front of it but is it actually bigger, or does if feel bigger ? I know these cabins are much smaller than others offered on the ship but for a single dad and his 2 teens is it liveable in a IF cabin ?? Thank you all in advance,
  21. You are right, I meant to say CruiseFirst. I emailed my PCC last night about this question in particular and I am waiting on her answer. Thank you,
  22. I bought a CN voucher for $250 and got $250 in bonus for NCL for a total of $500. When I booked my cruise $500 was deducted from the total cruise price. I think if I ask NCL later for a fare reduction the will cancel and rebook at the new lowest price but I will also loose the $250 bonus that NCL gave me.
