  1. I hope they're not ready for the new items on the Sky Princess this Saturday. I have no interest in a juice bar, special deserts or fitness classes. But I would appreciate a $10/day refund.
  2. Thanks. When I hadn't seen anyone mention them this season I was wondering if they were maybe not operating.
  3. Limit of 5 GCs per month. If I buy 5 GCs today, can I buy 5 more March 1? Or do I have to wait 30-ish days? Thanks!
  4. I'm a solo cruiser, and based on what I've read about this stop, I think I'd really like to just do a HOHO. The only one I know about is Island Trams. Any others I should consider? I'd love to hear from anyone with recent experiences: Can I purchase a ticket getting off the ship? Or do I need to pre-purchase on their website? What about crowding? Better to try to get off the ship first thing to beat the crowd? Or wait until after the the initial rush? Any issues getting space on a tram at any particular stops? Thanks!
  5. I love these kinds of threads. I'm leaving shortly for my first Princess cruise since 2005. I have plus so am looking forward to trying all manner of new cocktails. I'm making a list of these suggestions.
  6. Booked Sky Princess 14 Days Eastern/ Western Caribbean departing Feb. 25 on Jan. 10. I wanted a deluxe balcony cabin. All that was available at that time were obstructed view guarantee so I booked it. Wasn't thrilled about the obstructed view, but saw pics online and thought I could make do. I got an invite to bid for an upgrade! The odd thing was that one of the options was to "upgrade" to a standard balcony cabin for only $15pp. Yeah sure I'm gonna do that. I bid $220 total to upgrade to a premium deluxe balcony, which was $10 over the minimum. Was mainly interested in not having an obstructed view, but a larger balcony wouldn't be unwelcome. Got an email today that my bid was accepted and I'm now in a premium deluxe balcony on the Dolphin deck. I'm very pleased.
  7. Thanks for that suggestion! The reason I remembered about the old cruise is because I recently came across my old card that was sent to me back then. I'm not keen on spending time on hold on the phone so I'll just try this in a couple weeks when I'm on Sky Princess.
  8. I am in the same situation. I took one cruise in 2005 and was issued a Captian's Circle number. I totally forgot about it and created a new account and number on the Princess website. I have two cruises booked under the new account. Have also sent an email via the website to no avail. I'd love to hear from others who have dealt with this.
  9. Maybe I don't understand what you're asking about, but I'm seeing excursions labeled both "Debark tour" and for "in-transit guests" on the turn-around day for my March cruise on Sky Princess. I may take the airboat ride.
  10. You can get detailed instructions on this recent thread. I found it very helpful. Stock credit
  11. The cruise I just booked also only allowed a 1 day hold. I figured it was because it was already after final payment was due and they wanted a commitment.
  12. I would like to thank everyone who provided helpful information. I'm a new shareholder and emailed my request yesterday based on the instructions in this thread. I initially received an auto-reply email indicating "due to current high volumes, please allow up to 21 days for processing". Today I received an updated booking confirmation from Princess with my credit listed. I'm very pleased.
  13. I second this suggestion. I love the HAL laundry service. $20 for all I can stuff in the bag and I can get a lot into that bag. Everything comes back pressed and on hangers. Even my undershirts on hangers!
  14. I'm looking forward to your thoughts. I've been cruising on HAL exclusively since 2010 and have my first Princess cruise since 2005 booked for June. I'm concerned about being on a ship with 3,600 passengers after being accustomed to ~1,400-2,100 passengers.
  15. I bring zip top bags to store snacks from the buffet in my cabin. Fruit, cheese, desserts and sandwiches are all easy to bring back to the cabin for later snacking.
  16. I still have 80 Euros left from 100 I took out of an ATM in 2016. I wish I had exchanged them at the front desk before that cruise ended. I have a feeling the currency has lost more value sitting in my desk drawer than I would have lost with the "horrible" exchange rate.
