  1. Kat, I bought the dill pickle seasoning. It’s ok but I doubt I will buy it again. Also tried the dill mustard. It too is just ok. Wonder if we will see more items like this as a summer seasonal feature.
  2. Melody, I hope your August visit turns out ok. Maybe you missed your calling? We haven’t heard from Debbie in a long time and I too hope she is ok. Sharon
  3. Sherri, sounds like you will have some “me” time while DH is away. Enjoy! As a nurse the scans make sense to you. I would have no idea what I was looking at and just might think the whole thing looked bad and of course then I would worry. Although I think most of us wonder if anything was missed. I too watched the hearing and I agree with you-pretty scary stuff.
  4. Kat, it’s called Blueberry Fields Hard Cheese and the blueberry appears to be in the rind. It isn’t a strong cheese and there is a hint of blueberry which goes well with the cheese(I think). I see it’s made with raw milk. It is in the current flyer and according to the checker it is seasonal. Surprised to hear that your TJ’s isn’t well stocked. Could it be that it is a really busy store? The one we go to is very busy so we try and go early in the morning and everything is well stocked. Someone is usually working on the produce case and the ready made salads along with all the packaged salads are always there. I have noticed that ours seems to have a larger produce dept than the one we go to when we are in Minneapolis. I too haven’t been seen some of the cracker varieties that we used to buy. Had my 3rd PT appointment this morning and just a bit sore now. I talked to my doctor about a referral for my knee when I saw her a few weeks ago. I do have some arthritis but I didn’t help it any when I wore slippers all those months that we all stayed home. However, I surprised myself when I was able to walk around Disneyland and CA Adventure for 3 days so I think I can make some progress going forward. OOTD loose and comfy clothes for the PT workout but changing into something else (haven’t decided what) so we can go out for dinner. It’s warm here so will aim for something cool since we are eating outside.
  5. Cute shoes, Lois. They will be fun to wear. When do you leave for your cruise? Kat, sounds like your ENT visit ruled out some causes and hopefully the Prilosec will take care of things. Seems like we often end up ruling out the serious stuff but no definite answer. Stopped at TJ’s today too and picked up more of the filled bambas and another pkg of the blueberry cheese. No Saturn peaches today but they assured me they will be in stock later this week. No big holy**** moment today. Please let us know the results of your taste test. Sharon
  6. Thanks for the info, Nancy. Minneapolis has great parks as well as many other interesting places to visit. We always find so much to do when we are there. Sharon
  7. Nancy, I’ve been to concerts in that park when visiting our son’s family. We almost made it to the end of the concert when the rain started and we ended up in the ice cream shop waiting for the rain to let up. This was before Covid so not sure that shop is still there. Glad the concerts have survived. We will be there in August so will check and see if there will be any during our stay. We do plan to explore Lake Nokomis -thanks for posting the pics. DIL took our 15 mo GD there for her first lake beach outing. Sharon
  8. Lois, I watched Julia last night and really enjoyed it except some of the dishes just made me so hungry. Interesting to see all the talk shows that she was on and their hosts. Also watched The Windsors just before Julia.. The family relationships are interesting and it gave some insight as to why Megan had some issues relating. Hope you aren’t having problems from the tropical storm. I know you are pretty far north but I haven’t heard today if the storm is still over FL. Sharon
  9. Hi Sherri, glad you had a good visit with your grands. Yes, that sounds like one looong trip. Too bad you couldn’t go too since they will be there for 2 weeks. Nice that they can break up the trip a bit with an overnight in Mpls. I too have been thinking about Debbie and hope she is doing ok. Hope all goes well for you tomorrow. Sharon
  10. Glad you found the shorts, Kat. The wedding setting sounds interesting and you have chosen well in the clothing area. Love those shoes, Cynthia.
  11. Great pictures, Laurie! You have a beautiful daughter. Sharon
  12. OK, went to TJ’s this morning and had a really big holy**** moment that actually lasted for several moments. Got a lot of stuff however including the Saturn peaches and finally the hazelnut bambas. Only two items on my very long list weren’t in stock. Got the new dill pickle seasoning and a box of the cheesecake mini cones. Let’s see if I can limit myself to only one!. Picked up another pork tenderloin too. Thanks Kat and Melody for recipe ideas. Lois, good for you getting the second booster. Good idea since you will be traveling. I wonder when we will need a 3rd one? Maybe this fall? I heard that there may be a new version of the vaccine at some point. Probably like the annual flu shot. Quite a celebration for the Queen. Looks like she is slowly delegating her roll to Charles. Sharon
  13. I’ve only seen 2 in use at a time and with the very limited capacity and the very slow speed, they really aren’t helping much. There are moving sidewalks and that helps if one walks while using them. Otherwise just have to hope you have the time. I read that the new tunnel will be shorter and will be located in the center of A and B when the B gates are completed. So my take is there will still be a LOT of walking and a need to allow enough time to reach a gate. Could be a problem for connecting flights with short “legal” connections. Going from the end of one concourse, thru the tunnel and then to the end of the other concourse will be daunting, in my opinion. The new concourses have many restrooms and some good restaurant choices but there often isn’t enough seating at a gate. The “bus gates” are crammed into the end of B, not enough seating and many are confused as to which door/gate to use, especially when your flight shows a gate that doesn’t exist. Yep happened on our last trip thru there. Overall, as I said, just not a fan. However, t think my perspective would be different if I only started or ended flights at SMC.Most likely it’s not much different time and distance wise that most large airports.
  14. Didn’t know about the tram line. . There is a golf cart style shuttle that runs back and forth in the temporary tunnel. Holds maybe 4 or so people depending on luggage. Honestly it goes soooo slooowly that walking is faster. Pretty much for those with mobility issues.
  15. Kat, I understand that the walk from security to gates is long but since we only transit thru SLC, I can’t say for sure. If your flight leaves from A gates you will avoid the tunnel that also adds to walking time. The SLC app might help out. Been thru SLC 6 times since last May and just not a fan. Love, love the earrings and they certainly compliment your dress/outfit. Should be perfect for an August wedding.
  16. Wow Kat, that a lot of traveling and a lot of visits to/thru SLC! Hope none of those flights are on the smaller jets that use the “south 40” and involve a bus ride. Other than that situation, it’s an OK airport. I think I liked the old airport better. On the plus side you are going to have a lot of wonderful memories and I know we will be looking forward to reading about them. PH, so sorry to hear that you caught Covid but glad you are feeling better and that your lungs are OK. Cynthia, I too worry about how serious a case one might get and also the long Covid thing. This is why I am still masking in enclosed spaces. I have even gotten off elevators rather than ride with an unmasked person. Yes, I am boosted but still am very careful. One of our neighbors recently had Covid and it affected his kidneys to the point that he is now on dialysis 3 times a week for the rest of his life. Pretty scary! Lois, I watched a little of Julia before I was interrupted so “darn”! Sharon
  17. Hi Lois, i too have been thinking about Debbie and hoping she is doing ok. I think her cruise has ended and I hope that she had an amazing time. I also hopes she joins in and brings us up to date. I miss her posts Quiet day over here. Going to bbq as soon as coals are ready. Did order a few things. Some good deals out there. Sharon
  18. SNOW, I guess that puts a damper on some planned Memorial Day celebrations. I just love Aspens. Hope yours survive without damage. I will always remember a fall trip thru’ the Rockies and seeing the mountain sides covered with Aspen gold and Pine green. Still hoping to find some hazelnut bombas……..
  19. Cynthia, you got some good stuff and some of your items are on my list too. Need to plan a morning trip to TJ’s as that’s when ours is well stocked I am hoping that the Saturn peached will be in stock. Love them!
  20. Of course it’s fashion. Haven’t we all just gone thru’ a period of time when it was ok to wear them all day? I have 2 sets that I bought for travel. Pants, SS sleeve top and a open front “jacket” that replaces a robe in case you need one. Pants and jacket are solid (same material) and top is a print so it could be worn “out” if nobody looks too closely. I usually leave the jacket at home but it has come in handy a few times. Don’t think it’s cotton but I have traveled with it year round Got these sets at Costco a few years ago and pretty much save it for travel.
  21. So I just HAD to take a look at the Flyer and ended up making a list! I just hope everything is in stock. Thanks, Cynthia, found some good “stuff”. Kat, will ad the oatmeal bites to the list. Sounds good,
  22. Flying Delta in August. Got a “heads up” this morning that our outbound flight will be eliminated. Not wanting to wait to be arbitrarily reassigned and because only one of the remaining flights works for us, I bit the bullet and called. Took some time but reached an agent who was able to change our flights even though our original flight has not actually dropped off the schedule yet, just shows sold out no matter the date. Our new flight and seats already showing up in ap. I know that these agents are super busy with this week end’s cancellations and I could have been told to wait until I was notified of the schedule change but instead, she took care of everything making sure this was due to flight elimination and was very pleasant. FlyrtTalker is right, keep an eye on your flights, No matter the airline, more eliminations are most likely on the way.
  23. Cynthia, great that you are enjoying a 4 day weekend and taking advantage of the shopping opportunity. Lois, I too saw “Julia” advertised-will have to try and remember to watch.Always fun to buy some new things for a trip. Maybe you will come across something that you just can’t pass up. Kat, here’s my report on the tenderloin using your method. It was delicious! Very tender and juicy. I may have varied the herbs a bit to use what I had but the results were most likely very similar. So easy, well except for washing the pan I seared it in.😐 Sorry I can’t help with the shorts but your jeans idea just might be the answer. We have flights booked in Aug and this morning I was given a “heads up” that our outbound flight is going to be eliminated. Not wanting to wait until this shows up online I decided to be proactive so we can get the flight and seats that we want Took some time on hold while CS made the changes. Tricky since our original flight hasn’t yet dropped off the schedule and we hadn’t been notified. Hopefully no more changes but I’m not counting on it. I hope that everyone enjoys the holiday as we celebrate and remember. Sharon
