  1. It is MSC Meraviglia which is also causing the conflict on October 6, 2024. She's scheduled for an 11-night Canada/New England roundtrip from Brooklyn on September 25-October 6, 2024.
  2. For the June 16, 2024 and July 28, 2024 dates, it's MSC Meraviglia who will be at the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal. It looks like MSC Meraviglia is also scheduled to be at Brooklyn on June 30, 2024 which would conflict with QM2's schedule. I won't be surprised to see an announcement concerning adjustments to the June 23-30, 2024 westbound crossing as well. I haven't figured out which ship is causing the conflict on October 6, 2024 yet. I'm not seeing MSC Meraviglia scheduled for Brooklyn on that date.
  3. I'm seeing a report on other social media indicating the same thing may be happening to the June 9, 2024 westbound crossing as well. There is a report the previously scheduled call to New York on June 16, 2024 is being moved one day earlier to June 15, 2024 instead.
  4. As I mentioned on the other thread started by @TheOldBear, it looks like they will indeed be removing the last two scheduled calls to Boston and Newport (on Oct 4 and 5) from the end of the previous Canada/New England cruise and are adding them to your cruise instead. Therefore the Canada/New England cruise (as a round trip from New York starting Sept 22, 2024) would need to be shortened from 14 to 12 nights. And presumably the cruise from Quebec to New York currently scheduled to start at Quebec on Sept 29, 2024 would need to be shortened from 7 to 5 nights as well. I'll be interested to hear what the folks on those cruises are being told. Those starting the Canada/New England cruise as a round trip from Southampton on Sept 15, 2024 will still have a 28 night voyage. And those starting the cruise in New York on Sept 22, 2024 and continuing on the Southampton will still have a 21 night voyage.
  5. Very interesting, In essence, they are removing the calls to Boston and Newport from the end of the previous Canada/New England voyage (scheduled for 4 October and 5 October respectively) and adding those calls in reverse order to your eastbound crossing instead.
  6. Good one! Some judicious use of punctuation in my post might have helped separate the port names from the evening dress code. Perhaps some of our contributors from the UK and France might offer opinions on "Southampton Smart Attire" and "Le Havre Smart Attire" as well. 😉
  7. One more follow-up. Cunard have been using the same dress code and theme schedule for crossings for several years now. For westbound crossings, there are two gala evenings with "Black and White" and "Masquerade" for the themes. For eastbound crossings, there are two gala evenings with "Red and Gold" and "Roaring Twenties" for the themes. It would not surprise me at all if your 15-night roundtrip crossing including Le Havre in October 2024 matched this recently completed May-June 2023 itinerary. 18-May-23 Southampton Smart Attire 19-May-23 Le Havre Smart Attire 20-May-23 Gala Evening Black and White 21-May-23 Smart Attire 22-May-23 Smart Attire 23-May-23 Smart Attire 24-May-23 Gala Evening Masquerade 25-May-23 Smart Attire 26-May-23 New York Smart Attire 27-May-23 Gala Evening Red and Gold 28-May-23 Smart Attire 29-May-23 Smart Attire 30-May-23 Smart Attire 31-May-23 Gala Evening Roaring Twenties 1-Jun-23 Smart Attire
  8. Ah, yes. I realized soon after my earlier post that you probably meant a voyage departing during the month of October 2024, not one departing on October 24th. My fault for not picking up on that. I understand the dress code and theme schedules are available for some of the early 2024 itineraries. But for October 2024, we will probably have to wait until sometime later this fall. Someone else may be able to advise how soon before departure bookings generally open for the spa and salon services.
  9. Hi, @GaryEssex. I'm a little confused about which cruise you are on. I don't see any October 24 departures on the Cunard schedule for either 2023 or 2024. If you are on a 2023 cruise, your dress code and theme schedule can be found within the Day Calendar section of your booking in My Cunard. That will indicate which evenings are "Gala Evenings" (formal) and what the themes (if any) will be on those evenings. For reference, you can check out this sticky of mine documenting the 2023 dress code and theme schedules based on what others have told me they are seeing in the Day Calendars for their cruises. On the subject of spa and salon services, I'm not sure when those bookings open up, but I would have thought those would be available to book now in My Cunard for an October 2023 sailing. They are available to book for our upcoming September 2023 sailing, so if they aren't available to book yet for an October 2023 sailing, they should be soon.
  10. @Mercruiser, I think you meant to post this link instead. https://apnews.com/article/alaska-arctic-port-nome-china-russia-588201b311513709404344fbc0d0e913
  11. Yes, QE's next Japan-to-Alaska cruise is scheduled for May 24 to June 11, 2024. The itinerary is Yokohama, Hakodate, Aomori, Kodiak, Seward, Hubbard Glacier, Icy Strait Point, Glacier Bay, Victoria, Vancouver. There is also the option to depart May 14, 2024 to add a 10-night Japan/Korea/Taiwan cruise before the cruise to Alaska. You can also add an additional 10-night Alaska cruise to extend the cruise to June 21, 2024. It hasn't been announced yet, but the schedule for 2025 is likely to be similar. Note the direction is always eastbound from Japan to Alaska. There isn't a westbound cruise from Alaska to Japan. After QE finishes her Alaska season, she repositions to the Mediterranean, then Australia/New Zealand, and then back to Japan.
  12. There is no way to see if the shareholder benefit has been appiled online. If you applied by email, you may or may not get an email reply. I usually get a reply within about 24 hours when I apply by email, but not always. When I used to apply by snail mail I never got any reply from Cunard. I think they may have sent confirmation to the travel agent I use to book my cruises in that case. At this point, I'd suggest calling Cunard customer service. They will be able to tell you if the shareholder OBC has been applied to your booking. Or if you use a travel agent, they can confirm.
  13. Yes, that might have been a good opportunity to show a Cunard ship at Calvi in the "Where in the World?" thread. We have seen Calvi there but not with a Cunard ship. It qualified as a Cunard port because of a call there by Caronia.
  14. It's also apparently a new port for the current Cunard fleet. I have no prior calls to Calvi recorded for QM2, QV or QE.
  15. You caught me off guard seeing you were in Calvi today. I was expecting Livorno based on what I had recorded from the Cunard brochure. But there are several online itineraries showing you scheduled for Calvi today so I suppose that's been the plan for some time now despite what the brochure says. I've updated the QM2 dress code and theme schedule accordingly as I have been doing to keep up with other itinerary changes.
  16. One suggestion I can offer is to examine the schedules provided by Cruise Line Agencies of Alaska (claalaska.com). Here are links to their 2023 and 2024 schedule pages where you can check out the calendars for any or all ports you may be interested in. That will give you an idea of how many cruise ships are scheduled throughout the season. 2023 Schedules 2024 Schedules
  17. When you return to the terminal after your day in Southampton show staff your keycard . They will direct you past all the check-in queues directly to security screening. Once through that screening you may reboard the ship.
  18. The three standard shore excursions Cunard typically offers from Southampton are Cathedral City of Winchester Royal Windsor Castle Prehistoric Stonehenge On a few occasions in the past they've offered excursions to New Forest and an excursion called "Southampton Titanic Trail Walking Tour". In September for the crossing to Hamburg they are offering a "New Forest Scenic Drive" excursion but that's currently only being offered in German. So to answer your question, no, Cunard does not typically offer excursions to London. Perhaps one could be arranged through Cunard as a bespoke private excursion, but they don't offer standard group coach excursions to London.
  19. I'll help. It's an article about the Newport Medieval Ship Project. More information can be found here. https://www.newport.gov.uk/heritage/en/Newport-Ship/Newport-Ship.aspx and https://www.newportship.org/discover-the-ship/what-is-the-newport-ship
  20. That's correct. That photo was taken from QM2 sailing along Lustrafjorden not long after our departure from Skjolden on 13 May. If you follow route 55 from Skjolden along the northwest shore of the fjord on Google Maps, I think you'll find a pretty good match to the photo about a mile or two before reaching the village of Luster.
  21. Sorry, no, that's not Innvikfjorden.
  22. Another inspired guess, but I'm afraid that's not Hjørundfjord. I would love to add Hjørundfjord to our list of Cunard ports, but I can't seem to justify it even as a sail-by call. Excursion boats regularly ply Hjørundfjord which is a short trip from Ålesund, but as far as I know none of the Cunard ships have ever sailed in that fjord.
  23. My research tells me Anzac Cove, where the Anzac forces landed during the Gallipoli Campaign, is along the western shore of the Gallipoli Peninsula on the Aegean Sea (near Ari Burnu), rather than at the southern tip of the peninsula (Cape Helles) where the British forces landed, or along the shores of the Dardanelles. As such, it doesn't seem likely to be seen during a conventional sail-by of the Dardanelles, so I've been keeping it on our unseen list. Of course I'll gladly stand corrected if we've seen an image that specifically shows Anzac Cove.
  24. Very good guess, but no that's not Nordfjord.
  25. Here's one of my own photos of a location we haven't seen yet.
