  1. World Class Bars are a thing of the past on Celebrity, gone on all newer and Revolutionized ships. Not sure they are even calling them the World Class bar on remaining non-Revolutionized ships.
  2. Hello, I'm hoping to get an answer quickly since it seems Virgin hosts lots of girls trips and singles but has anyone done 3 sailors per cabin? If so, what was the setup like? a cot? do rooms any rooms have upper pullmans? Thanks.
  3. Nice to hear from you, still haven't booked but really want to do this ship and the itinerary seems great. I've only done one other HAL so I know the pluses and minuses. I'm a foodie so bit plus there, my friend and I also enjoy some nighttime atmosphere which can be hard to find on HAL, when I did a new year's eve cruise with my ex on the Eurodam a few years back there was hardly a soul awake past 10PM.
  4. Hello, just curious if there are any other LGBTQIA+ on this sailing? Rates can’t be beat!
  5. Is there a menu to select from? Assuming you walk around seeing what each station is making, how are you expected to remember the various items you may want?
  6. So I understand during covid restrictions everything had to be done while you are seated at a table but I'm wondering if now that many rules have relaxed if passengers now order at the various food counters and then a server brings your food? Are servers gone? Is it just cafeteria style now? Can any recents enlighten me? Thank you!
  7. Maybe someone who was on Silhouette in July could weigh in.
  8. I was on the Summit 7/31 as Elite and Celebrity has stopped the free Tote for Elite passengers, I boarded without a beach bag since I've gotten one on nearly every Celebrity sailing I've taken in the last few years and received this unpleaseant surprise cut in amenities.
  9. Celebrity slaps a "weight limit" on any and every excursion regardless so while I doubt they even consider it or check in reality it is a bit off-putting if you are a person of size.
  10. I know there are walk in stairs in the deeper of the outdoor pools, I believe the stairs in the more shallow as well.
  11. That's one day....plus the Summit is currently on a 12 day Iceland cruise. It's sold out and the few left available last week were selling for roughly $9500pp for a balcony stateroom. THEY DESERVE BEEF IN THE BUFFET DAILY!
  12. Last week the buffet was 75% daily repeat except the grand buffet on the last day’s lunch. Daily feature changed approximately 3 dishes and Indian selections varied. The rest was the same. I walked thru the dinner buffet and that was mostly repetitive to lunch buffet as well.
  13. Okay yes I’m being a bit facetious but has anyone else felt the slide in food quality at the Oceanview Cafe? just off the Summit 7 day Bermuda and chicken legs were the main meat! Having sailed the Apex in February perhaps I am a bit spoiled but no steaks on the grill, no leg of lamb at the carving station, it was a bit disappointing. My best guess is that inflationary pressures are causing meat selection to be somewhat limited. Still love the overall product however.
  14. I’m not sure what happens on your cruises but on a straight Celebrity cruise, like the one I just disembarked, I didn’t happen to rub up on anyone purposely or by accident. I’m not sure what you wear or how close you like to creep up on someone in Covid times but ICK!
  15. Party of 6 also on this sailing, hoping for great weather, smooth sailing and delish food with enough staff. This sailing has been “sold out” for awhile so I’m preparing for it to be crowded. This is my 3rd Summit sailing, my last cruise was the Apex in February in an Infinite Veranda in Concierge. That ship sailed at about 60% capacity then! Summit is a great size ship, can’t wait for Tuscan Grille
  16. I just used Onpoint yesterday for my sailing tomorrow. Process was super easy, the proctor (sp?) was very nice. Make sure you have your passport # since they can add it to the results paperwork. It is optional however. They use Zoom which I was very comfortable with. They were right on time for my appointment too, not early and sent many reminders ahead of time.
  17. Great, I will thanks, I also hope we're never stuck on a ship together!
  18. Umm, So google said 4.6KM which is roughly 2.5 miles.....but sure, whatever you say.
  19. It's a 22 mile island, look at a map, throw a rock and hit St George.....but thanks for your opinion.
  20. If you made it to the Swizzle Inn you pretty much made it to St George
  21. Well unless your rubbing up on someone on a mainstream cruise I don't see what the risk is.
  22. Why if you had a negative rapid test, and were considered fully vaccinated, would you think you needed a COR too?
  23. In February 2022 Apex had daily Meet & Greets at the Sunset bar, timing was during dinner hours however, roughly 6-8pm, which isn't ideal. We always found other gays in the nightclub area as well.
  24. I'm assuming you're referring to a gay cruise where sex is more openly promoted and expected?
  25. Those of us who have discovered cruising, and love it, should truly realize how lucky we are! Happy Birthday and cheers to another blessed year.
