Carnival's newest XL class ship that debuted in December 2023 has been named the Jubilee, I have no need for posts from 1986, thanks for your insights.

What??? I'm talking about when you come into the Carnival Cruise Forum at the top there is a query method to just see posted related to the ship you are sailing on, it lists all of them in a drop down with the exception of the Jubilee.

What's happening with this site?

Sailed her 2/4/24-2/9/24 found the ship to be in great condition. Very clean and well kept with no terrible signs of rust. There were a few chairs in Studio B that were broken as they were fold-downs and they kept going down to the point you could slide off of it. Sadly the cupholders in the main show lounge serve no purpose as the glasses used now will not fit in them. Food was better than expected, Chops and Giovanni's were excellent and Johnny Rockets was fun too. I heard the ice cream from the soft serve dispensers wasn't good but didn't try any myself. The Promenade Cafe is a life savor for late night eats but it gets BUSY. Show's were not media productions as found on new ships, the true stars are the ship's singers and dancers the backdrops are meh. Sadly I wasn't impressed with the comedian on our sailing or the piano player in the Schooner bar but that is a subjective opinion.

I know that both "specialties" are included at this point but I've heard on a YouTube review I cannot find now that if you have an assigned dining time you cannot make a reservation before a certain time. Is this true? Is that just if you try to book it on the app while onboard? What if you just show up and ask to be seated? I realize other ships have these restaurants but I am speaking specifically to the Jubilee as it's new and the dining for the first year or so may be a bit different than other similar ships.

Makes me excited and happy to be going on the new Carnival Jubilee in May, food videos on YouTube look GREAT!

17 Days until we sail. Is everyone excited? Here in the northeast we've been having lots of snow lately, I hope it doesn't impact any travel. I'm heading to florida a few days before we sail to celebrate and be there early.

I'm not cruising to eat Mac & Cheese, a hamburger or fried chicken for dinner sorry. I'll stop at the A&W/KFC on my way home from work if that's what I'm in the mood for.

The only reason that is, is because the price of cruising hasn't changed in 35 years. in 1989 it cost about $1000pp for an inside cabin for a 7 night cruise and that didn't include any amenities. Cruise lines unfortunately have cheapened their product to attract the mass market. As a result there are fights and drunks and people going overboard and everything else. If you adjusted for inflation that means the interior room on a 7 night should be going for about $2460pp. Imagine the quality of cruise you'd get if that were the case.

well I've been cruising for 35 years and it's a far cry from the crab claws appetizer and frog legs provencale that Royal Caribbean used to serve. A hamburger, at dinner and you're not in a buffet line???? Horrible!

Horrible if that constitutes a cruise line dinner menu, Outback has a nicer selection!
