  1. I know you had a veranda stateroom that you were allowed to quarantine in, do you know if they had other areas sectioned off on the cruise for quarantine? When we sailed in February on the Apex the starboard side of deck 3 was closed to guests not quarantined as was the forward on deck 6. I really hope Celebrity is doing a great job sanitizing the rooms between sailings considering the length of time you spent sick in your room and the new passengers boarding who have no clue! I've packed my Microban spray and sanitizing wipes!
  2. Everything can be pre-purchased on the Celebrity website and possibly the app (I always use the website). You begin at "Manage Trip" in upper right, you will need to create an account. In this account you'll link your upcoming cruise if it doesn't automatically via your reservation #. Once you can access your cruise via Check-In you can see your sailings specific Shore Excursions.
  3. Best feeling sailing into Paradise!
  4. Communication should be polite and considerate, there is no need to be so stern and abrupt and use all CAPS. This is just a conversation.
  5. How do you know that Celebrity Reservations can follow that many iterations? It takes them an hour and a half to answer the telephone.
  6. Why not first split you and your DH/DW up so that one of you are in one of each cabin (same time moving one of them to your old spot in the other cabin). After that is fully processed then replace the name of the remaining person currently in the booking who will not be going. This way both of you are the 1 person in the cabin not changing. Once onboard pick a cabin to utilize with your DH/DW.
  7. No towel police I'm guessing either.....I would however bet that if you return to the pool area around noon you'd probably have a better chance finding something. People who get their sun in early will move on by lunch.
  8. Just an FYI that has me nervous as I too have schedule an OnPoint test but YouTube content producers who do many cruise reviews have just posted a video giving a review of their experience an how OnPoint moved their testing time up an hour with very little notification so they missed their revised appointment window. OnPoint wasn't willing to do anything for them, seems they may be having some staffing issues with proctors available but still hold firm to a no-refunds attitude. I have a mid-day appointment scheduled so hoping for the best.
  9. Mind if I ask, how long before you sailed did you receiving your BTA email approving your travel? Were you required to upload your pre-cruise covid test? Per the BTA website it seems you no longer have to but per Celebrity's pre-cruise testing instructions it makes it sound like you still must upload. Thank you!
  10. So they were wearing shorts at night or wearing shorts in the dining room? Shorts in the dining room sure, it's a no-no but shorts in the evening seems perfectly reasonable.
  11. I just looked at 1:30PM EST on 7/14/22 and didn't see it listed.
  12. I'm surprised the Martini Bar menus aren't the same fleetwide, I hope they know how to make the Coconut-cream tini!
  13. I wasn't previously aware that Celebrity/Bermuda changed their rules 7/12/22, you are correct no CoR will be accepted.
  14. I respectfully disagree, Celebrity will accept the Certificate, Bermuda no longer requires an upload of negative test and as their website states follows: Please follow the guidelines supplied by your Cruise Ship. Note guests of Norwegian, Royal Caribbean or Carnival cruise lines do not need to upload their test result here but must show it at embarkation.
  15. Hi there, I'm heading out on the Summit on the July 31st sailing which is listed as "Sold Out" and I'm curious what that might mean exactly since it seems the cruise lines are not sailing at maximum capacity. Any ideas?
  16. You can board a cruise ship with a certificate of recovery so I'm not sure what you mean. If Bermuda now follows the cruise line and cruise line accepts it, how would Bermuda know?
  17. Bermuda doesn’t check on its own any more it follows the guidelines of the cruise line. You no longer upload any results it’s just the same documentation used to get on the ship so if a CoR works there is not necessarily a way Bermuda will know what health check you’ve provided
  18. LOL yes a small island that has basically been closed for 2 summers and lost millions of dollars of revenue from visitors trying to recoup just a little bit by charging a temporary "visa" fee is just high way robbery!! There are plenty of places you can go if you don't like it, I'm sure no on would mind but at least it would better than you complaining about something as immaterial as a $40 visitors fee.
  19. So a friend of mine did not put their reservation # on their Bermuda TA application. Evidently it wasn't a required field. I'm just wondering if anyone has ever heard of their BTA being denied?
  20. I guess I feel that if you can afford to visit Bermuda, is a $40 "visitors fee" truly that much of a hardship?
  21. No one is suggesting eating in the oceanview instead of the MDR, the suggestion is to get the kids an early bite to hold them over until it's time to go to the MDR. They may be less hungry for MDR dining but it sounds like they are probably too young to distinguish anyway.
  22. I always have a welcome tote in my room and I'm only Elite.
