  1. I'm sorry I think you misread my OP, no where did I imply 2 entrees in a Specialty restaurant are allowed in my post. I specifically referred to 2 entrees being allowed in the MDR (Main Dining Room) before a $5 per entree surcharge is added.
  2. So it's been a few years since I've cruised with Carnival but I just booked the Jubillee for next May. I know that with the dining changes there is now a limit of 2 entrees in the MDR before a surcharge applies but looking at the specialty restaurants, specifically Rudi's and the Steakhouse, do they limit how many starters or desserts you may order? Multiple starters were previously allowed so for $48pp I'm curious. Those with recent firsthand experience please let me know. I appreciate you!
  3. Thanks everyone for your honest feedback. From what I read the Havana bar, at least on the Jubilee, is open to all guests.
  4. Looking at the new Jubilee and noticing prices between regular interiors and Havana interiors are pretty close, I realize you get use of the "private pool" but on the deck plans it looks relatively tiny. Not sure what other perks might be included so appreciate any thoughts on those who've purchased the Havana experience if it's worth it IYHO?
  5. I'm already Diamond, to get the 150% must you book direct thru C&A? I can't say the online engine shows this discount.
  6. If you were cruising alone, and it's cheaper to book a Phantom 2nd Passenger who was a No-Show the day of the cruise vs booking a single supplement cabin? My understanding is that with no shows the cruise line customarily refunds the port charges and dependent on what TA you might book thru, a double occupancy cabin on discount can be cheaper than a single 100% supplement booking. What are your thoughts?

  9. I agree but the days of enjoying menu selections at sea that cannot be found at home are over. Plenty of indian, thai, italian, mexican, fast foodish type places in any city.
  10. What do you feel you can not get at home that you can on a cruise? Much of the dining experience on cruises is no longer refined dining that cannot be gotten at home.
  11. Isn't every cruise happening over seas? Sorry, I just had to.
  12. Wouldn't the teenagers prefer 2 upper pullmans over sharing a sofa bed? Then it's like twin bunk beds.
  13. Wow, that seems like a glitch in the Matrix, now if only it transported me to the Ship and sail date I just looked up! Thanks for your help and yes JR is open until 11PM currently.
  14. So when I open the app I have 3 icons at the top, the far right is a body figure....is that what you mean by "click on the person"? Otherwise I have no clue and when I click on that body and it shows my name it shows my upcoming cruise or the option to select a different cruise....but only would show my future bookings.
  15. Sorry no clue how to do that, my sailing isn't until February.
  16. Just wondering if JR is also a dinner option in the evening?
  17. Curious which bar you would consider the best for martini's on Explorer? Do any have an exclusive martini menu? Instinct would tell me it's the Schooner Bar or Viking Crown Lounge but curious to hear your thoughts.
  18. Who used the word required? Most people want a sped up process of boarding so since the 3rd passenger was never a reality in the first place I would think they wouldn't want to be held up at check in.
  19. No that's not what I mean, in order the be cleared for boarding there is a lot of pre-boarding docs that must be completed. I for one wouldn't want to show up at my sailing with nothing completed beforehand because of a phantom passenger.
  20. Wouldn't the phantom child still need to be a real child because you would want to complete the pre-cruise documentation which would require passport # or other detailed personal information for travel?
  21. So your doubt is certainty of how things work? Where's your proof anything I've said isn't actually how it works other than your Doubt and Personal Experience? Get out of here buddy and go be angry somewhere else. Your doubt is no more proven fact or certainty than my personal experience which evidently means nothing to you.......
  22. LOL, sorry you've had bad experiences and discount any else's positives. Sorry none of it makes sense to the dense, I've tried to explain it as best I can. I'm sure you realize that someone assigns GTYs and your information follows your booking details. Happy Cruising and if you don't like what someone else says you can always ignore it instead of being, well....obnoxious.
