  1. To pile on to the "it's available at the bars" contingent, you may wish to purchase Bottomless Bubbles. You could simply go to any bar and request a glass of cranberry juice. Have all you want. Add your own liquor (TBH, I know it's a pain, but put some liquor into a thermal container and carry it with you and add to your juice as you get it.)
  2. There is no way to book another cruise on board. Even when they did that, you couldn't use OBC for it, it was charged directly to whatever credit card you had placed on your account (and if you didn't have one, using a cash account, you had to present one or gift cards). If you want to parlay those funds into another cruise, just go to Cherry on Top and purchase gift cards. Go home, book another cruise, and use the gift cards to pay for it.
  3. They are saying that you used to be able to print boarding passes without completing every section of the online check-in. That has changed. You must set up some sort of onboard account during your on-line check in to make it complete (even if that selection is "cash"). Only then can you print your boarding passes.
  4. You should be able to access WestJet using the Social Media plan. If you cannot, you can upgrade at any point during the cruise, so if it is the last day, you will upgrade for just that day.
  5. All port fees and taxes will be refunded to the original form of payment. All prepaids (gratuities, beverage plans, fun shops purchases, wifi, excursions, etc.) will also be refunded to the original form of payment.
  6. Since no one seemed to answer your question, I will. You purchase wifi service through the HUB app, so no visits anywhere. Wifi desk?? 🤫 Never heard of one.
  7. You can get a paper Fun Times at GS and the coffee bar. You can request actual menus in the MDR. On my last few cruises, the old bar menus made a reappearance (the ones that stand up on the tables). If you don't see them, just ask. You can ask your room steward or call Room Service to get a paper room service menu. So, yes, you can cruise without a smart phone. It's just not as convenient.
  8. If you are concerned about them being able to navigate the boarding process, chances are that they will have difficulties on board. Do you have a plan for them on board? Carnival offers wheelchair assistance for boarding. Just grab the first Carnival employee you see and they will direct you regarding where to go and who to see to get said assistance. On board, they will take you to the Lobby deck or Lido deck, depending on how busy they are.
  9. Not to mention, but this is NOT Princess. This process works, why are we beating it up three or more years after it started???
  10. This is from Carnival's website.
  11. It is still included and will appear as part of your S&S account. Just mention to the server that this is your Platinum drink and they will make sure that it takes it off when they ring it in.
  12. Funny story! We live in the Eastern time zone and were in Seattle when we tested. Apparently, my math skills are deficient and I scheduled my appointment for what I thought was 9:00 Seattle time, but it was 8:00 and we missed it. I was able to schedule a new appointment at 9:10 for 9:30 the same day without issues. I would say that you would have no problem waiting to schedule your time.
  13. Once you have charged to your S&S account, that money now sits in your Player's Bank, which is separate. In your scenario, you can cash out the $75 without running through the entire $100 charged to your room. I do it all the time when I have non-refundable OBC or gift card amounts that cannot be cashed out.
  14. Yes, the HUB app has a messaging feature. It is $5 per device (not per day, but for the entire cruise). You need to leave the app open in the background in order to get notifications. It works reasonably well, although we have had a couple of instances of messages taking some time to deliver.
  15. As @Drew B 58said, yes you can use Cheers in the MDR. There are no more stocked minibars in the cabins. If you order from Room Service, you pay the bar prices for your drinks, so if you want something in your room, it is best to grab it from the bar and carry it back with you.
  16. Lobster is always served on the first elegant evening on 6 day or longer cruises. Since you mentioned not wanting to miss it. The menus are the same in both MDRs and elegant evening is the same in both MDRs. It is normally the second day (first full sea day) and, on the second to last day on longer cruises.
  17. I always wondered why the put the life vests in the rooms. Like everyone is going back to their room in an emergency??? The first couple of cruises we took after the restart, they demonstrated how to use it. A couple of weeks ago, they just asked if we knew how. I would imagine the depth of inquiry is based on the person checking you in 🙂
  18. I agree. We don't drink a lot anyway, so one bottle lasts us for two dinners, so we weren't terribly disappointed (well, maybe a little 🙂).
  19. On the Splendor last month, they only allowed us to purchase one 1/2 price bottle each.
  20. There is no need for the app to do the muster drill. You will go to your assigned muster station, they will scan the bar code on your boarding pass, make sure you know how to don the life vest, and send you on your way.
  21. It's fine. I'm vaccinated and used it recently for a cruise. It meets Carnival's requirements.
  22. We also received an email prior to our last cruise with a suite. Additionally, this has been discussed ad nauseum by JH.
