@Elaine5715is almost correct 🙂 Ensure most commonly comes in bottles; however, there are certain formulas that come in cartons. There is also a nutritional powder that can be brought on board and is the same as the Ensure original forumla. You just mix with water.

We just did the same thing in July of this year.

specialty dining - discount for buying on the ship?
Schoifmom replied to sandinmyshoes's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
Nope. Those were only available on the Vista class ships for a while, so would not have been available on the Breeze anyway. -
Changes to Room Service and Dr. Seuss Breakfast Returning
Schoifmom replied to Lee Cruiser's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
It seems to imply that there will no longer be any "complimentary" items available at any time other then breakfast.- 139 replies

Main Diningroom - ordering more then one entree per person?
Schoifmom replied to BarbieGee's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
Frogs, just like everything else, changes taste based on their diet. The "wild" frogs that you had growing up would have a more gamey, fishy taste. The frog legs served on the ship would be farm-raised with a restricted diet and would have a more mild flavor. The same is true for almost any other animal. For example, venison from deer in Ohio have a milder taste than venison from the south because of their diet. -
To be fair, I almost said the same thing until I looked up to see where that cruise was headed 🙂

And, that's why they offer both 🙂 Something for everyone! -

YTD (Your Time Dining) allows you to check in and eat whenever it is convenient for you. Want to eat early, late, or twice, go for it. Simply check in on the HUB app when you are ready and you will be notified when your table is ready (you do not make reservations). They make every effort to keep you with the same waitstaff every evening, as long as there is availlability within that section when you check in. Fixed time dining is exactly what it sounds like. You go to the same table at the same time every evening. Have early sitting and a late excursion? No MDR that night for you 🙂 -
Elegant night is normally the second night of the cruise (they rarely deviate from that for the first elegant night). I know that there is mac and cheese and fries on the kids menu, I don't know about pasta with marinara. Perhaps someone else could chime in on that.

Change Cruise Date, What are the penalties?
Schoifmom replied to lele100's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
That is correct. -
You say that they are picky, but not what they are picky about. There is always the kids menu in the MDR. This is not age-specific, anyone can order off of it. I'm guessing that you are a new cruiser. If you go onto the Carnival website, you will be able to see the menus for the specialty restaurants. Those rarely change. You can also see sample menus for the MDR. There will be some variation there, but the core menu remains pretty much the same across the fleet. If you log into the HUB app when you board, you will be able to see the menus for the week. If you don't want to go to the MDR, then just head out to the Lido and take advantage of the offerings there. There is a ton of variety available everywhere on the ship. Those kids won't go hungry 🙂

It is the next to last day. It is $14.50 per day per person for all cabins except suites.
-
Nope. I always like to get as much out of the way before I leave (less to budget for later), so I almost always prepay. There is no discount, no other real benefit other than knowing that it's done.
-
They will appear on your S&S account on the next-to-last day. I've only done this once and was expecting to see it earlier, but that was when they appeared. They are charged by the day, but they appear on your account in one lump sum.

To be honest, just to get the boarding times, you don't need any documentation at all. Simply select "cash" for the on board account and "birth certificate" for the citizenship documentation. It can all be changed later or when checking in at the port. You can check in on a computer (I always do). For reference, if you select check-in on the HUB app, it redirects you to the website to complete the check-in, so you are never actually checking in ON the app.

To directly answer your question, yes, If you book in a suite, you will receive all suite benefits regardless of your VIFP level.

Adding a gift card to your sign and sail account?
Schoifmom replied to kelhag's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
You're joking, of course. You don't actually post empty gift cards for sale?? -
We used to buy it, not so much for "early" boarding, but so that our stateroom would be ready when we did. I suppose that we will all have to re-evaluate the value of the program when it returns, as I assume the benefits will have changed.

USAA Perks - 5% off Carnival Gift Cards
Schoifmom replied to GalaxyJane's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
I get 10% off with Allstate Rewards (and you don't have to be an Allstate customer to get it). -
They have not sold FTTF since the restart. There are varying opinions on if it will return.
-
My guess (and it's just that, my crystal ball doesn't work better than anyone else's) is that if they do start selling FTTF again, which I believe they will, it will not include first access to the staterooms. I find it interesting that in the listing of benefits for diamond/platinum they have completely removed any language regarding stateroom access, rather than footnoting a temporary change like they did with other benefits.
-
True. The 59.95 per day is the discounted price. It is significantly higher if you purchase on board.

Cheers is available from day 1 on saillings from CA. It is only TX and NY that have the delayed start. Just FYI, you pay for the number of days that you have the package on those sailings, you do not pay for the first day when it is not available.
