  1. That would mean that it is full and no longer accepting waitlist. If you choose to eat earlier, I would go with YTD.
  2. Thanks for the discount code! I was able to successfully use it online.
  3. This is the pre-purchase price prior to the added 18% gratuity.
  4. ^^^^ This. We noticed (as have others) that Carnival has turned off the ability to make/receive wifi calls other than through third-party apps such as Facebook and Whatsapp.
  5. It really depends on the terms of the offer under which you book. If you book an Early Saver fare, normally you would only lose $50 pp and the remainder would become a FCC. Other fares have non-refundable deposits, which you would lose.
  6. The last two cruises I was on (post return), they were very adamant about make sure you watch the safety video playing in your stateroom. over and over and over and over and over šŸ™‚ You probably noticed it playing on a loop when you first entered your stateroom. I think that the frequency or strength of reminders to watch it depends on your cruise director, honestly.
  7. They don't check or anything. Watching it in your room is simply an expectation.
  8. Actually, the expectation is that you will watch the safety briefing on your TV after attending the lifejacket demonstration at your muster station. So, it's not either/or, it is both/and.
  9. You can see your onboard credit, etc by going to your cruise manager on Carnival.com. Adding the credit card number for onboard expenses will be done during your online check in, which happens 14 days prior to the cruise, also through your cruise manager.
  10. Just a note (the above posters are correct) ... you cannot take the iron back to your room and you cannot bring on your own iron or steamer. I usually bring a really good wrinkle release spray and it does the trick. You're on vacation. You will likely never see these people again in your life, why would you care what they think about a few wrinkles šŸ™‚
  11. The specialty restaurants limit to one entree. Believe me, most people couldn't eat more than that šŸ™‚ As far as the three year old, the steakhouse does have a children's menu and children's pricing. If he/she is just going to eat off of your plate, though, I don't believe that they will charge you.
  12. I have had this happen and it was given to me as OBC.
  13. Is your child actually 5 years old or 4 years and something??? The snippet you posted clearly stated that children aged 5 are able to use the youth program, those UNDER 5 (4 years, 364 days and under) are unable to.
  14. 1) You are limited to 15 alcoholic drinks a day. The day is from 6am to 5:59am. Non-alcoholic drinks are not included in the count. 2) Most non-alcholic drinks are included. So, yes, get all the specialty coffees you want šŸ™‚ 3) If you are sailing from NY or TX, then it starts on day 2. You pay out of pocket on day 1 and they start charging you for Cheers on day 2.
  15. Isn't it nice to have a routine "is it worth it" question again?? šŸ˜œ
  16. Carnival does not differentiate suites from other room types when it comes to room service. You will have the same menu and the same charges as everyone else.
  17. Very subtle distinction here .... Single sofa bed AND 1 upper pullman versus single sofa bed WITH convertible bunk. I think that if you search you will find that the second type are all triple occupancy, which would indicate that it is a soft that converts to a bunk.
  18. You will have one cruise elegant night (no lobster on 5 night cruises). It will normally be the first sea day (second day).
  19. (1) Does the other person have insurance and are they cancelling for a covered reason? (2) Are you past the final payment date? (3) What are the rules for the fare type under which you booked? (4) Are you replacing this person or going solo?
  20. My last two cruises had this same issue, but we had no problems checking in on Delta or going through TSA.
  21. https://www.carnival.com/help?topicid=1202
  22. If all you need is $1300, it shouldn't be an issue. They may need to do multiple transactions, but I would think that you could do that.
  23. Hmmm ... that can be a loaded question. Are you backing your S&S with a credit card and then wanting to apply gift cards to cover the balance? If so, then yes, you can "settle up" at the end of the cruise or apply them at any point during your cruise. If you want to back your S&S card with the gift cards, then you will have to apply them at the beginning of the cruise (I recommend using the kiosk or applying them at the port to avoid GS lines). Anything left after the cruise will be refunded in the form of a new gift card mailed to your home. You have to back your S&S card with something, or you will not be able to purchase anything.
  24. Just to clarify for those following along: Two doses of vaccination are required (or 1 if you have the J&J) If you are more than 6 months past your final dose, only then is the booster required.
