  1. Dear “wallflower”, Your review is charming and refreshing. I look forward to more posts. For being a lurker, your photos are exquisitely displayed with comments and white spaces. More over, I appreciate your command of paragraphing and writing style. Wishing you more cruises in your future so we can have more reviews.
  2. Yes, if you cancel before penalty dates, both will be cancelled. May also cancel flight after final payment but before 45 days for EZ Air.
  3. You may bring one bottle of wine per adult passenger. You may bring a case(s) of soda or water in cans. No bottles. Spirits and beer are not allowed to be carried on board. I’ve had miniature bottles of liquor from previous cruises confiscated.
  4. This “promotion” has been around for over a year and yet no one has posted yay or nay about it. HMMMMM
  5. Faster than I could locate, edit photo, and attach!
  6. No laundry package or specials. Each individual item has its own price.
  7. Every port will have wheel chair assistance. It’s a matter of time and waiting for one to become available. At least one person should keep her company. There will be crew waiting at ship or at curb side to help her. There is a lot of walking and level changes at Canada Place.
  8. Thank you for the correction. The Red Hook ferry will run every half hour until 10 AM…then it is every hour until the afternoon. But I am guessing (I wasn’t correct before) that the OP is asking about getting to the airport after the cruise. Best to take a Princess transfer.
  9. it is unlikely you will disembark in New York if you begin your cruise in Fort Lauderdale. That would be a violation of the PVSA. Passengers may not embark in one U S city and disembark is a different U S city unless the ship visits a far away/distant port. Are you booked on a back to back?
  10. I will look into to the loyalty option with HAL. Thank you. I have sailed on Carnival several times. Been there, dine that. Not again, unless…..
  11. Although Princess is in the same category as Holland and Celebrity, they are not as expensive and their sizes of the ships are all over the place. HAL has much smaller ships. I would switch in a heartbeat if: I could get the same category for the same price I could sail out of San Pedro I could get the same loyalty perks IF…IF…IF. My sister has been trying to get me to switch to HAL. When we compare prices, it’s a third to 50% more.
  12. Everyone has different experiences. I had terrific service on the CB this summer (FLL to Quebec/summer and Quebec to FLL/fall). I did not use Ocean Now nor did I frequent the bars. If there is one thing Princess could improve, it would be a no smoking casino. I agree with everyone else, the Piazza is used for too many loud events.
  13. It’s $60 if you purchase it on embarkation day (if the price doesn’t rise) If you include it with your fare, then you will be charged an increase in your Princess insurance.
  14. I have yet to cruise on a Royal Class ship. All of my cruises have been on a Grand Class/GEM ship with a few earlier cruises on other lines. It is my fear that the Royal Class ships are the issue. Crew have been fantastic since post pandemic on the smaller ships. Too many changes for me. Is that why Princess called it quits and went to the Sun Class ships? Will these newer ships continue to have the problems of the Royal Class ships?
  15. Several countries have similar PVSA laws United States and Japan, that I know of. You will need to do some homework/research.
  16. Stop by any bar on your way back to your cabin. No limit on non-alcoholic beverages.
  17. When is your cruise? Did I read correctly…you made final payment? Do you have a travel agent? I know you can add a second passenger before final payment, but not sure about after. With the holiday weekend, it will be difficult to get anything resolved. Good luck.
  18. I have been invited by crew to join the ship for a day. There was an internal form I had to provide a driver’s license for. It then needed to go up the chain of command. i doubt in this day and age, Princess will allow passengers to invite guests on board.
  19. Out by 9 AM, usually returned by 9 PM. On occasions, steward did not pick up by 9 AM or placed in ordinary laundry. I prefer to leave my bag of laundry on the bed the night before. S/he will take it at turn down. I will do a large batch 2 - 3 days before packing and then, maybe a smaller bag the day before packing (and cross my fingers that it is returned that night). Don’t forget to check Express Box in upper right hand corner. No harm in writing Express in big letters in the instruction space.
  20. Yes, there is a procedure you need to follow within x number of days. You could ask your TA for the paperwork or do a search. It is very important that you fill out the paper work and add it as an attachment before emailing it. Do not add it to the body of the email. https://www.militarycruisedeals.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/Reservation-Transfer-Request-Form-1.pdf
  21. Production shows are tailored to the stage (class of ship). I agree, seen so many of the same production shows on the Grand/gem class ships. Ironically, every time I’ve been on a ship with a newer show, I’ve missed it due to technical difficulties. New shows go to new ships. Wish Princess would throw a new bone my way, once in a while. First new production show after Covid pause went to the Royal class ship.
  22. Wonky app. My original cabin mate canceled. Replaced with another. Original cabin mate received Medallion with replaced cabin mates name. Princess never ceases to amaze all of us. Did you get your deposit back? If you did, cruise was cancelled. As others have said, check with your account directly.
  23. I did just that after a theater show. The person behind the desk had to log in my complaint. I’m glad it was recorded.
