  1. Did not read all posts. Here’s my take. I would do FLL to LA for the following reasons. **** most important**** you gain an hour each tie change. And you get the Bridge of America in the afternoon. Flying is the pits either way from LA. Either have to overnight in FLL or take a red eye. If you try to fly back to CA, you have to take a very early flight due to limited afternoon flights. Easy walk off and go home from LA. No stress.
  2. If I do insides, this is my favorite location on all Grand Class ships. Book behind the Art Gallery. A lot less foot traffic. Book on the starboard side and there will be no through traffic because of Alfredo’s. Not sure if there is an exit door on the port side. Sometimes, the IC is there? Don’t remember, but think so. Far forward is cramped and noisier.
  3. Busy day. Will have to keep you all in suspense until I can find some thought time.
  4. I finally could get in this early AM. I never thought this would happen, but I think Princess just out priced themselves for me. Sticker shock! My preferred cabins are sold out. I will wait for the novelty to wear off and people to drop out.
  5. My TA and I can’t see it. She is trying to get me my cabin of choice. It’s still early and hope something becomes available. Goes to show you Princess needs more than one run.
  6. I looked this morning. Not available. My TA is on it!
  7. Quick share. Cruise director Jody is fantastic. Her presentation replaced the “Behind the Scenes $150 tour” with images and videos. Always wanted to do it, but body is long past those energetic days. It was a packed house in the Explorer’s Lounge this afternoon (sea day). You can tell the natives are restless. It’s packed everywhere!
  8. I will be happy to post documents once I return home in a few days. Your Caribbean Voyage may be very different.
  9. More like a little c. First time, I never knew I had it. Rapid test came back negative/PCR came back positive. Antibodies test confirmed. Absolutely no symptoms. This time, a little coughing. All better. Thought it was my asthma or cruise crud cough. Lucked out. Neither and got a free flu test to boot. Very, very, few masks. I generally take the stairs. But have been in a bus with 47 other passengers for a long ride. Today was better that yesterday. No loss of appetite, smell, or taste. Getting all the hot food I missed while in isolation. You got to be so specific when you order. Asked for Frosted Flakes for breakfast. No milk.
  10. 13 day cruise 2 pub lunches on sea days. Caribbean Princess
  11. I will count this as a compliment…I loved my Cherry Blossom cruise. My only recommendation is to fly in a few days earlier or stay a few days later. I knew about the International Dateline but did not take into account airline delays. We ended up with only one full day in Yokohama. Need at least 3 to enjoy the city.
  12. @Jadn13 go ahead, hijack this thread. It’s for the good of all !
  13. Verifying Just purchased 2 FCDs for my sister who is not on the cruise with me. I did have her Captain Circle number. It will be charged to me. Tried to do it on the app and the television. It was too complicated. Ended up waiting 20 minutes before the office opened. Long line after me. Port days - 8 am to 11 am / 3 pm to 8 pm Sea dats - 8 am to 8 pm
  14. Long awaited plugs information. Both Balcony and Window Suites do not have USB port on lamps like the Grand Princess (bummer). The CB Window Suite has a European plug behind the bed/the night stand. Same as the Grand. But….The Grand also has a lamp on the counter with another European plug and USB port. How strange that the Grand is older but better. The Balcony has convenient plugs behind the television and on the desk. The desk was on the same side as the bed. I could easily connect my CPAP to the desk plug and not trip over the cords. The Window Suite has an awkward plug behind the television and on the desk.
  15. My first step is to file it with Medicare? Wait for denial? then Aetna? Who should pick up everything? then AON? and hope to see my FCC on my Princess account? thank you. @PacnGoNow I have Platinum PVP. Does that mean I can skip all the steps? I want my 2 days of FCC in cash or credit. I do not care which. I wish I could get back some of my Plus since I can’t have alcohol the rest of the trip (I know…not). There goes the wine tasting. Haha.
  16. Will see. She told me there was a charge. What did you do with your medical records? Did you have to submit it to insurance too?
  17. I have been in the bump out cabins on the Coral Princess, sister ship. Loved B209 / B210 ( I think). Last cabin of the first bump out. No wind Curved glass balcony Almost panoramic view forward and aft. You will be able to look into your neighbor’s balcony below…and into their cabin. Just be friendship and share.
  18. I am out of isolation. Everyone on this board and on the Caribbean Princess have been stellar. Med Center told me my itemized bill would be enough to start my claim. I’m not taking any chances….ordered my medical records too! I know, insurance will probably not reimburse me for that. Sabatini’s breakfast hours: Sea Days - 7:30 / 10:30 Port Days - 7:00 / 10:00 disembarkation morning - 6:30 - 8:30 (I think that is what they said)
  19. Did you already receive your money for the final payment on the cancelled flight? Do you have time to deal with this after your next cruise? If yes to both, I’d leave it alone, have a good trip, and deal with it when you get back.
  20. You can leave out the exercise classes and desserts too for an additional savings and gain my purchase for $40. Hey, I’d even spring for $50. Or let’s split the difference and just refund my $7.50 for my reduced Medallion Net. So many things Princess could have done. YouTubers are all over this. These changes were a huge blunder for Princess and really a big black eye. Princess…we are not ….I Love This….
  21. Welcome to the Princess world of inequity. I’m waiting for them to discount the beverage packages for Elites\Platinums since we are paying full price for something that we are discounted by 50% if we went bare naked. Or hit with a supplement if traveling solo. Or being given “penalties” for traveling as two solos unrelated. It’s the terms of the world today.
  22. Yes, I have an unrelated travel cabin mate. At first, they were going to send me back to my cabin. I tried to find the right words that would convey that my travel mate would have no such arrangement. I did not get sent to “better digs”. I went from a Window Suite to a balcony. They did mention that the ship was full, but they would try to find me alternative accommodations. Really pleased to be in a bare bones balcony. Med Center never checked on me late this afternoon. So I am parked for another night. This steward is wonderful. Requested more towels via the app. She came twice since she ran out of face towels on the first delivery. Sara knocked on my door to inform me she wasn’t allowed to remove my meal trays. The app for request goes to the steward on duty….not room service. Go figure??? But only room service could remove trays from isolation cabins. In preparation for another night away, I phoned Customer Service to ask how I could have my CPAP picked up and delivered. I really should have taken it with me. I had such a hard time breathing last night. Thoughts of my dying in my sleep (apnea) circled my finals thoughts as I finally fell asleep. Not really, for those of you who take me too seriously. Another great team. I really have no complaints except for the passenger who gave me Covid. The suite concierge is alive and well on Grand Class ships (at least here). She tracked me down to this new room. She’s extremely busy and we haven’t had a chance to really sit down for me to find out what a person in a suite could use her services for. Being in isolation really cut into our time. But she does know me and I could have probably directly reached out to her if something seriously needed fixing. For those coming aboard next week… F311 - the cooler box (aka refrigerator) never got really cold. It’s been a revolving door of looky loos. The bathroom door and cabin door are really hard to open and close. Too long a story to get into details why I didn’t have this all resolved for you. F307 - I think. Has had air conditioning issues, Maintenance has been called several times. Stuck at either 60s or 70s. No control over temps. It’s almost safe to say no one in the passage way has had toilet problems. Now for the gross. Disclaimer…this is why I resented the move to refillable bottles. I bring my own. This was in the balcony. I’m sure it is not cabin category specific. I can’t leave you with the above image so I shall bid you all a good night with these beautiful images. We are now traveling about 20 knots to Sydney.
  23. @Steelers36 found this on Princess’ social media account. If you check in before boarding….you will get to your sanctuary before the others. Is this the correct thread? Princess Cruises Hi Susan. Thank you for your loyalty. All Elite, Platinum, Full Suite and Reserve Collection guests will still be able to take advantage of the Green, Blue, or Accessibility lanes as part of their check-in process. We anticipate boarding will be expedited with our new OceanReady enhancements. You will also receive expedited boarding privileges if check-in begins before the ship has been cleared for boarding by local authorities. Where applicable, terminals with designated priority seating lounges and/or food/beverage offerings will continue. We hope this helps.
  24. I miss my chocolate strawberries, long remove. I miss my profiteroles. The canapés are such a waste.
