Just curious, since we haven't been on Princess in a while, do they still use the health questionnaires?

No health questionnaires on our last two cruises.  I wonder how many passengers have fibbed on the form in the past?  I bet there were a few.

  2. Yes, we were surprised also.  We had club class dining, being in a suite, and thought perhaps our server would check to see if it could be made available the next evening or so.  No, we were told no longer available.  Might have to book a cruise on Pacific Princess.  Lol

  3.  We were in an aft suite on the Royal January 4th and had soot issues. Depending on the direction of the wind, it wasn't an everyday problem.  We knew this was a possibility when we booked, so it didn't spoil our enjoyment of the suite and large balcony.  Your cabin steward will clean the balcony deck, table and chairs daily.  Just be sure to check your deck chairs for soot before you sit down.  A quick wipe with a towel will take care of the problem.   Enjoy your suite!

Uh oh, no more spaghetti on the kids menu?

Nope.  It's a thing of the past.  We were on the Royal January 4th and asked for an order of the spaghetti from the kids meal and was told it's no longer available.  The kids menu has definitely changed.

  5. We booked a 56 day cruise on the Regal in mini-suite M425.   We usually book Caribe or Aloha deck, but this was the last mini available.  It's located under Lido deck, somewhere between Scoops Ice Cream, the pool, and the sea walk.   If you've stayed in this mini, was there a lot of noise from Lido deck.....MUTS, deck chairs being moved, etc.?

  6. Marcus Prince was on the Royal the week of January 4th.  We were looking forward to sailing with Matt O again, but Marcus did an excellent job and was very personable.  Marcus and staff did a great job scheduling lots of activities to keep passengers entertained.   We'd be happy to sail with him again.

  7. We just returned from a Mexican Riviera cruise on the Royal.  Our granddaughters (13 and 16) absolutely loved the teen club.  Plenty of activities if they wished to participate or it served as a cool place to hang out with other teens they met.  The girls also enjoyed the hot tub and deck chairs available in their area.

  8. Thanks for the response, Pam.  I'll pack a few for the grandkids..... just to be on the safe side.  We were on the Royal last January, no tumblers.  There was a note explaining the ship ran out.  We received 2 large bottles of water for the inconvenience.

Called princess up sale department this morning again and got through. I was told it was sold out. I then received a call 2 hours later from a different representative who said that the actually had two full suites available. So I took the offer and it does include the balcony breakfast

    That's wonderful!  Enjoy your suite!

  10. We also received and took an upsell offer to a penthouse suite.  "Breakfast for two on the morning of your choice" is actually the "Deluxe Balcony Breakfast for two".  If you accept the upsell offer, the balcony breakfast will be listed on your travel summary in your personalizer.   This is in addition to  your breakfast at Sabatini's suite perk.

When we received the offer, I called immediately and left a voice mail message letting them know we were interested.  We didn't receive a call back for 6 hours so called them again and actually got a hold of a rep.

    Good luck!

Hi everyone! We paid for an upgrade to a S3 aft suite on the Aloha deck. Seemed like a good deal.  We have been on princess but it has been a while. The deck plans seem to show that the balcony is smaller then the deck above and below, is this true or just the pictures.  I think I read that we can have food from the dinning room rather than traditional room service. We have three people in the room and wondered if the sofa is comfortable.  Any other information about the suite experience on princess would be great.  Thanks!

Congrats on your upsell to a suite.  You'll love the suite and amenities.  Ordering from the dining room menu is a great perk, especially on long port days when you want to relax and dine in your room.  The Concierge Lounge is located on Riviera deck, one deck up from you.  Convenient to grab a cup of coffee and pastry in the morning, or snack in the afternoon.  ....not that there's a lack of food on the ship.  LOL

Enjoy the complimentary specialty dinner at Crown Grill or Sabatini's your first evening.  You'll receive a card informing you of the time and restaurant.  If you need to change it, call the Dine Line to request a different time or restaurant.   There will also be a list of suite amenities on the desk in your room, so be sure to check it out.   We took an upsell to an aft suite on the Royal and sail next week.  Can't wait!!!!

    Enjoy your "suite" life!

When these changes happened and delta rebooked you, so this happened before you paid for the flights through EZ Air? But then did not make you pay a higher fare to change flights? Delta just rebooked you? Just confirming

Yes Delta cancelled the original return flight just before final payment.  They rebooked us on a much, much smaller plane -  a single row of seats on one side and two seats together on the opposite side.     There was no change in fare.   I contacted Delta to see if they would rebook us on an alternative flight (had the same time table as the original flight) and they would but would re-fare us with an increase of $780 .

  13. We use EZ Air frequently.  Had many flight times changes with Delta for our upcoming cruise in January.  The biggest change was our return flight being cancelled.  Delta booked us on another flight which gets us to our destination airport a lot later then the original flight.  We'll have a 3 hour drive from the airport getting us home around 1:30 a.m.  Our seat assignments were also changed: only 2 of our family of 6 will be sitting together.  This can't be helped because the new flight was mostly sold out.  Were we happy about it?  Not really, but we'll make it work.
