On a Sunday to Sunday cruise, my granddaughter was tested on Friday. My DIL got an e-mail within 20 minutes with the test results. She made appointment with GS, this was on Easter Anthem sail.

Self-serve and I usually get a double decaf cappuccino. Also, when I was on the Easter Anthem cruise this and the cafe promenade were the only places that I could get a plastic cover for a take-away coffee. To my surprise, the WJ which is a place that needs it the most, none were available.

I was on the January Allure sail and the adult comedians were Hall & Garan. Only saw them once in the comedy club as the allowance in the reservations process. Allure also had them on the 6th night in the theatre as headliners and titled "Family Comedy" show. Their skits were totally different and quite clean. The surprising was that this performance was funnier that the adult skits. One of the comedians was making fun of his wife/kids at the adult show, however on the headliner show he came across as happy as a lark with his family. Surprisingly, saw him in the WJ one lunch and he was with a lady and seemed quite happy. Don't know if it was his wife or girlfriend.😄

Curious, how was the disembarking at port Canaveral. This was a stop on my Easter anthem sail and it was a s..t show. There must have been about 2k passengers squeezed on the 5th deck waiting to disembarking. The lines were as far as 2x70 and if there was a Covid outbreak this was a Petri dish. Some newbies to Royal kept asking if this is normal procedure. I was separated from my family and they did not show up until 25 minutes later for our Kennedy space center tour.

You would be better off of purchasing chops +1 as this dining option is usually cheaper than on board.

Sold out on the cruise planner, if so I was advised that Royal reserves some 25% for on board bookings. This was pre-pandemic.

When the Quantum was placed in service, they were offering "Dynamic Dining" and one of the restaurants was the Grande and it was formal only. At the entrance they had spare jackets for those that were in need.😊 I remember many years ago, my bff and I took our dates to an Italian restaurant in NYC called "Mamma Leone's." We did not realize that it was jacket required and had to wear those drab gray waiter's jackets' during our entire meal. To make matters worse, when the bill came, my buddy took his Diner's Club charge card, except that it was not accepted at this restaurant. It was so embarrassing to say the least. We had to pool our money's and ask our dates for a loan.😁 Ps. We both wound up marrying these fine ladies.

I believe (?) bathing attire is not allowed in the MDR at any time.

Thanks, good to know as . I was on Allure in late January and Anthem Easter week and no teserves. Anthem was sailing at 80% and with 1,200 kids. They had a Jersey Boys and Beatles tribute which was very popular with the attendees.

With return from the pandemic. Been on Oasis, Mariner, Allure and Anthem since they started sailing and no reserves required for the headliner shows in the theatre.

In all of my cruises, I've never worn a tux. Simply wore a business suit and when our dinner and photos session was over, we rushed to our cabin and transferred to shorts and tees/polos and head to a show or casino. Now as a solo, I simply wear kakis and polo. Sometimes, I bring a sport jacket and I seem overdressed as compared to others.

What dining and what shows. Specialty and MTD require reservations. Traditional dining, you should have been assigned a time at booking time. Theatre shows, no longer require reservations--it's FCFS. Other shows like Aqua, Ice, Adult, etc. require reservations. You could do it via the Royal's APP or once on board there's entertainment staff that will make those reservations. Happy sailings,

My only experience was I was able to combine the on board booking obc with the $ off from the casino.
