  1. Because it's a 15 day cruise the pre-planner will be cheaper than using your D+ 2 day discount. On recent Anthem cruise it was $21.99 and $26.99 respectively for surf & surf & stream.
  2. I've had 2 separate experiences. On one occasion, my TA, via Royal, requested a letter duly signed certifying by the FCCs owner (my kids) to transfer amounts to me. On another occasion, since my TA was on hiatus because of the pandemic, Royal Customer Service simply wanted to speak to the FCCs owner(s) prior to taking and action. Royal cannot apply these amounts unless there's an open booking(s) to apply. In essence, I've been fortunate with a little homework to have 5 separate FCCs transferred to my open bookings. Now everything is square and, in the future, if there's a choice between FCCs and a refund, I'd be a total fool not to take the refunds. I've invested a lot of time & effort in accomplishing the objective in not losing a single penny from the cancelled cruises due to the pandemic.
  3. Not many mask wearers in my church. Also, I beg to differ on your last comment as I sailed out of Bayonne on Anthem Easter sail and vast majority were non-mask wearers, other than the terminal. Many Paxs are no longer as afraid and I'll give you an example. We cruised on Easter and the ship' sailing capacity was at 80% with some 1,200 children. My kids have not sailed on Anthem and I gave them a guided tour on Monday as the weather was simply atrocious. We passed by the indoor pool area and the place was mobbed. The bars were some 8-10 deep and the pool was inundated with adults and children and hardly any place to swim. Worse was the hot tubs, where there just have been some 2+ dozen adults and children at the same time.
  4. No specific e-mails, but lot's of information regarding vaccine and test requirements. I was in the same dilemma, as we had lifted and shifted a cancelled cruise to Easter 2022. At that time, there was no requirements for vaccine for children, however, this subsequently changed. I had one granddaughter that was 8 years old and no vaccine required, but my other 2 granddaughters are older than 12 and not vaccinated and were not planning on getting vaxxed. I was advised that I can only take action when the H&S protocols was announced which was at the 30 days mark. Called my TA and advised that we are all ready and able to sail, but because of certain requirements, Royal/CDC will not allow these individuals and parents to sail. I asked that a refund be initiated as any FCCs would be worthless under these circumstances and expiration dates. Got most of the refunds to my CC within 45 days. There was a balance of approximately $1,200 in FCCs which my TA is in the process of transferring them to my name, as I have no problems cruising. Ps. On June 1, 2022, Royal announced that any FCCs issued under the CWC will not have an expiration date.
  5. Someone had mentioned that they went to Chop"s on lobster night and got the lobster tail(s) delivered from the MDR.
  6. If you have a premium credit card, see what the requirements are for trip interruption/cancellations rules.
  7. It's not a big deal to tell your waiter that you will not be there on specific nights. I do this as a courtesy so they are not waiting for me to show up. Also, since I'm solo, they usually give me a table for 2 and I'm done in about 1 hour.
  8. Go to any specialty restaurant when you board and you reserve the 2nd restaurant
  9. Contact rcldining@rccl.com with your request.
  10. Yes, the lower deposit of $100 pp is a big advantage in light of the new NRD rules.
  11. Preliminarily the answer is yes if it meets the 1st & 2nd para. Here's the e-mail/announcements: Effective June 1st, 2022, all unredeemed Future Cruise Credits will be treated as follows: Cruise with Confidence FCCs will no longer expire, providing your clients with endless flexibility! Though our systems will continue to require a noted expiration date, we will automatically extend this date to one in the far future – ensuring that these FCCs will never terminate. Global Sailing Suspension FCCs will also offer increased flexibility! The portion of the FCC value that represents 100% of the cruise fare paid on the original reservation will no longer expire. The incremental 25% bonus value, however, will maintain the current expiration date noted on the Future Cruise Credit and will remain active until this point. Be sure to encourage your clients to redeem this portion of the FCC before the expiration date or such funds will become inactive and can no longer be used towards a future sailing. All Other FCC Types remain unchanged and will continue to enforce the expiration date noted on the Future Cruise Credit.
  12. Today is June 1 and has it been announced/communicated. Also, received an e-mail today from Royal that FCCs will not have any expiry date. On a pos, someone mentioned that it only applies to CWC FCCs, but e-mail does not indicate or have further notes or disclaimers.
  13. There's a similar thread and a poster mentioned that it is good on CWC FCCs. The e-mail does not indicate and it's simply generic affecting all FCCs. Any clarification will be appreciated.
  14. I got the same e-mail. However, it does not identify to only CWC FCCs. I'm assuming it was sent out to those that have outstanding FCCs.
  15. But. weren't suite deposits not refundable to begin with.
  16. Biker, you sly fox, do you know something that you want to share.
  17. Only to the extent that you are changing and not cancelling.
  18. Funny, I transferred 2 FCCs, one from my granddaughter and the other from my son. However, can only be transferred and applied to a booking(s). Also, working on 3 others to be transferred to me as I'm able to sail under the H&S protocols.
  19. Correct. Only on cancellations one forfeits the deposit.
