If you think this is a rip-off, there's a thread that states that effective with any June 1, 2022 bookings and you subsequently cancel, you forfeit the entire NRD. If this is true, the only future booking(s) that I plan on making is while on board as my only risk is the deposit of $100.

Is this a change/cancellation fee of $100. If so, this is the way it was pre-pandemic.

On our Easter week, they did not show "we will rock you" the excuse was due to the ship's movement, but our intuition was Covid related. We really enjoyed the Jersey Boys/Frankie Valli & the 4 Seasons show. The lead who was in both the Broadway & London version and was very energetic and full of fun. They were so well received (maybe because Frankie Valli is from NJ) that they performed at the final show. The final show was missing one of the Season's and again the suspicion was Covid. In addition, they also had a "Beatles Extravaganza" and they really put on a delightful show. The wigs looked a bit odd. Both performances brought back some very fond memories.

Same with 1st out of Bayonne in “21.

On my January 22 sail on Allure the entertainment staff was in boleros on the 5th deck.

I've been on 4 since the restart and the last one was on Anthem's Easter sail. I did not find any staff issues, however the 1st 3 were at 40-45% capacity. Anthem was at 80% withs some 1,200 children. One thing that I noticed was the layer of staff in the MDRs. When you check in there these folks in gray jackets, then there are the Maitre Ds in black suits, followed by the Head Waiters and then finally the Waiters and assistant Waiters. IMO, lot's of staff and this was the 2 restaurants on the 4th deck. Don't know if they had the same on the 2 restaurants on the 3rd deck.

Only for changes and not cancellations.

I got an e-mail this past Wednesday from Royal UK website and it advertises CWC which is much later that the March 21, 2022 date. Wonder if it's only for UK bookings.

Sailed Anthem on Eater week. The ship was at 80% capacity and included some 1,200 children and found the service to be very good and a clean looking ship. The only time that I saw any dirt, was some kids had kicked the trays left in the hallway and uneaten scraps were strewn over some 4 cabins.

Reduction of taxes & fees for a prior sailing? The problem unless you can identify them yourself, Royal staff is useless. Just accept them and don't worry about it. Once among some credits on my CC there was one for .30 cents.😜

Try Boleros on the 5th deck. This was the place that I made theatre and other entertainment reservations on the January 22 Allure sail.

I sailed the Serenade on August 2013 right after they did some work on her. This was a 12 night Mediterranean sail and chose a balcony hump cabin #9078. Big mistake. It's the first cabin by the Centrum. Some of the work done on the Serenade was adding extra speakers in the Centrum. Anytime there was a show, the noise reverberated to the cabin. Not only was the noise coming via the Centrum but also via the elevators. It was so bad that I couldn't sleep and asked if we could move to another cabin, if one was available. They tried to close the emergency doors, but that did not help. I even tried sleeping in the lounger that was in the balcony. On the 4th night we got a call that a balcony cabin was available, but they gave some flimsy excuse that since we were Diamonds that they could not relegate us to a lower type of cabin. We said "are you kidding." Anyway, we got moved to balcony cabin #8126 and finally were able to get a good night sleep which we needed as tours in Italy are somewhere in the 10 hour range and they leave quite early. We also got FCC totaling some $800 each and able to utilize it towards our first Oasis sail the following year.

What is funny, I get e-mails from Royal UK for promos, and a couple of days ago got these promos and one of the selling points is "Cruise with Confidence" program. Tried to ascertain the period this covers, but could not unless I'm having a senior moment. Is this June 1 policy for US only. I guess, I'll have to book future cruises while on board as the exposure is only $100, unless there are changes forthcoming to this also. Pre-pandemic, I can't recall whether it was on Anthem or Symphony in that they would not re-program previous WOW bands, however, you could get new ones for $5 each. Thought about and decide against as one can simply tap the door sensor to get into the cabin. This to me was the biggest plus when it was introduced on the Quantum.

On some ships, the BOGO is not as valuable as it used to be. On the Easter Anthem, there was only a few dollars difference between to the Chop's +1 in the planner a few months prior to sail. Also, the flexibility to have the 2nd dinner at a different day rather than the 1st & 2nd.

During the pandemic in 2020, it took about 2-3 months for the T&F and tours to be credited to my cc. Looking forward, I received cc refunds on April 25 for my kids Easter Anthem sail, that was cancelled when the H&S protocols were announced at the 30 day mark.

On Anthem, it was around 7AM in conjunction with the breakfast goodies.

I'm so sad for your loss. I know the aches and pains of losing a spouse. I lost my beloved spouse in mid 2020. I had to cancel our family Easter cruise which later was cancelled by Royal due to the pandemic. Since the opening of cruising, I've taken 4 cruises with 3 being solo. in the beginning I had fear & trepidation as how I would handle sailing solo. I've come to feel comfortable (even though she always on my mind) cruising and going to the AC casinos. Stay strong and safe,
