  1. The Haven courtyard on the Jewel class ships is Nothing like the large ships, its very small
  2. Another shoutout for Woodwind, my wife and I have been with them three times.
  3. One of the top places to dive in Florida, at least it was is Looe Key. The amount of fish the reef held was unreal
  4. I've been on a number of cruises in the last two years were "Visitors" were allowed on the ship. It was a wedding party, some of the party was sailing and some were leaving right after the ceremony on the ship
  5. That is strange, sometimes what is on the NCL website is not correct but usually its corrected in a day or two. If you still see those cabins available I would call again
  6. Almost a year with my Lefeet S1 Pro water scooter and I have to say its been almost flawless and a blast too use. I've used it over 30 times, I carry three batteries. Its small enough to easily travel with yet powerful enough to easily pull me thru the water https://amzn.to/40zKHlv Goofing around in the pool
  7. Great review of your cruise This is exactly why we travel with a couple rechargeable candles. They are great in the bathroom https://amzn.to/49sFAaS .
  8. At least in NYC they have vending machines. I think they also have a couple food booths open also with hot dogs, sandwiches etc....
  9. Ditto.... we would arrive early when we used to run for Vibe passes. Before they were sold online you literally had to be on of the first to board. The only other time, our last two cruises were in the Haven. We arrived at 9:30 and were onboard in the Haven lounge by 11:00am. Our next cruise is in a suite on the Gem, will probably try to arrive 9:00-9:30am. Never cruised out of Boston so the cruise port will be new to us
  10. Does anyone have any recent photo of cabin #10502 from the Gem they can share? Looking for photos after the 2020 refurbishment Thanks
  11. Unfortunately gone are the days of checking in right after final payment. I miss those days
  12. Interesting, I was using cruise plum a few weeks ago. Its still $800 more than a current cruise we have booked on the Gem June 2024
  13. Have a great time on the Escape!
  14. Much of the interior from a dining room and a bar ended up at a restaurant in Nags Head, NC (Windmill Point). The restaurant closed up 15? years ago. IDK where that stuff ended up
  15. I agree 100%....... The amount of money spent over the years is staggering..... It would make a great reef and diving site
  16. Find yourself a good TA. I've had ours for 10 years, the guy does a great job, has a team of people working with him and is always the best price
  17. Strange, we have been asked a few times if we wanted dessert to go? Maybe they had people waiting for our table and wanted us to leave Did they bring it out to your table and you tried to take it with you?
  18. The SS United States once owned by NCL..... Could the ship Finally be going to a new home? She has been sitting in Philly for over 25 years rusting away. I used to be involved in the SS United States Conservancy until I saw the money they were wasting. It will be interesting watching her move down the river. I wonder how much mud she is sitting in? https://www.nbcphiladelphia.com/news...oject/3685106/ I shot this video 6 years ago.....
  19. Some people don't know what to do if they are not complaining. On on last cruise in January, 12 day on the Getaway we had a couple who I must have seen 2-3 times a day who were alway complaining to someone. They had become a running joke with the Haven Staff. It started within 20 minutes of boarding, they were both irate because they had to wait 10 minutes to be seated for lunch in the Haven Restaurant and it only got worse. I felt bad for the staff who had to deal with them. I've truly never seen anyone like them. They were sitting next to us at dinner one night and they had ordered soup, it came out and it was too hot and they complained to the waiter, waiter took it back a few minutes later new soup comes out...... guess what... Its too freaking cool.... I wanted to reach around and smack the both of them. I've read horrible reviews and then realized my wife and I were on the same sailing and we really loved everything about the cruise
  20. The hockey puck hash browns aren't too bad if you get them as soon as they come out
  21. You can still go online and book a cruise for Israel. Guess they need to update the website
  22. That makes no sense..... its 422 miles port to port.... they must still be moving things arounds.
