  1. We did a 12 night back in January on the GA. We had 9 dinners in the Haven. Yes the menu is the same but we also had at least two specials every night which were different every day
  2. NCL site seems to have some issues going on at the moment
  3. You won't be going to the engine room, the guides and the security detail will tell everyone exactly what they can and cannot photograph. The only things I haven't been able to photograph is I95 and the dressing rooms of the theater.
  4. I don't understand why they changed the option to start check in as soon as you booked instead of 21 days before you leave. It was always nice to have everything done right after final payment
  5. How many feet of anchor chain does a ship that size have onboard? And with that much chain out would they have to reposition for the changing tide as the ship swings
  6. Has anyone had luck getting FCC extended? I have $275 that must be used (sail by Jan 2024). Would be great if I could get it extended to July. Spoke to one person at NCL and it was a dead end. My TA is also trying to get it extended.
  7. Wow, and I thought $4200 for a Balcony on the Gem June / 2024 out of Boston to Bermuda and Bar Harbor for 7 days was expensive Lol At the same time..... Joy out of NYC is about $3800 for a Balcony and Celebrity Eclipse is about $4500 for a balcony
  8. The price of the two bedroom is considerably more expensive compared to the forward or aft cabin.... $3100 more
  9. Here is one I made up a few years ago NCL BUTLER LETTER.pdf
  10. They had Haven Sundeck, Pool menu on the Getaway in January. The only issue was they were short on service people. After watching the person next to me wait 45 minutes for a burger I walked down to the buffet and was back in 10 minutes with my lunch Lol
  11. Can someone remind me of the Non Haven suite perks on the Gem? It's been 13 years since we have sailed in one. Do you still get breakfast in Cagney's? Priority off and on the ship? Priority tender etc.... I'm assuming you don't have access to the Haven sundeck
  12. Try to find it for $3300 out of Boston to Bermuda in June.... let me know if you do
  13. I'm looking for a list of private tour operators if one exists. My wife and I did a tour with Colin (forget his last name) in 2010. He was fantastic, we are going back to Bermuda in June of 2024 with friends who have never been there. I told them the best option your first day is with a private guide, spend the second and third day at the beaches etc....
  14. Prices are crazy, was looking to book the Gem out of Boston next June to Bermuda. Got our quote from out TA..... $4200 for a regular balcony cabin. That did include all the perks etc...but still. The days of affordable cruises is gone. NYC was $500 less on the Joy, same time period out of NYC for a standard balcony. Celebrity Eclipse was $4500 out of Bayonne
  15. Should have said bring back more Jewel Class ships instead of the new class
  16. Beetle Juice.... No vaping or groping allowed
  17. I can't agree more, its pathetic what NCL has sailing out of NYC in the winter. I stop in Bermuda..... crazy. I remember being at the meet and greet back in January. I number of people ask the officers why the stop in Bermuda. None of them could answer the question and from their looks they were not thrilled about it. We have cruised on NCL out of Tampa a number of times. From PHL Tampa is easy, its a short drive to the pier. We always fly in the day before and stay at the Tampa Marriott Water Street. Plenty to do all around that area and its a 2 minute ride to the cruise port
  18. Wife and I have done 12 cruises all on NCL. We want to go to Bermuda next June and are really thinking about booking the Celebrity Eclipse. From what I can watch and read the Eclipse seems to be the same size of NCL Jewel class ships like the Gem. Those of you who have sailed both give me a couple pluses and minuses of both. How crowded does the Solarium get? we plan to spend sea days there
