  1. BINGO! The Haven restaurant was far better than any specialty restaurant we dined in on the Getaway during our 12 cruise.
  2. It can be a real cluster.... We were there a few weeks ago on a weekday and arrived at 10:00. Made the mistake of booking the beach excursion there (which we got all our money back on) It took over an hour each way, that gave us two hours at the beach. Finding a beach chair to rent is hit or miss, it was packed We were saddened how much trash we saw in the city and along the roads since the last time we went there.
  3. Specifically MSC Yacht Club Deluxe Suite. The description say's Double or Single beds. I can't believe the bed is just a double?
  4. I believe the balcony on the club balcony (Old Mini Suites) is the same size. If I remember correctly the club balcony has a little larger bathroom
  5. Something doesn't make any sense. Your luggage tags are suppose to have your cabin number on them
  6. Stayed in the Haven on the 1-8-2023 12 day cruise on the GA. By the second day I think about 12 people working in and out of the Haven new my and my wife names. I don't know how then do it
  7. I'm still amazed at the amount of consumables that go onto a ship in the amount of time given. A few years ago we had a day in port at Port Canaveral. I stayed on our balcony for most of the day. NCL used this port on this run to provision and fuel. At the end of the day I counted 35 45ft tractor trailers and about a dozen 24ft trailers.
  8. No normal amount. It all depends what they do and don't do for you. Our Butler did a few things we asked, and a few things we didn't ask. Our Concierge one did one thing, didn't have much a need for him. Our room steward was fantastic. She ended up with a larger tip than our Butler or Concierge. If you use the Haven bar staff you should tip them.
  9. They will bite, just don't stick your hands / fingers in front of their faces. They will think your feeding them a small fish
  10. 🤣 I don’t know anyone who considers NJ or CT part of NYC. When I think of New York City I think of Manhattan and only Manhattan. Queens is Queens, Brooklyn is Brooklyn etc…
  11. I wonder if you will make it to the DR? Maybe if Amber Cove is available
  12. Yes, paper bag..... in the Haven... maybe suites you get a nice nylon bag
  13. To clean it fill it halfway up with water and add a drop of soap, let it run for 15 seconds, dump it out and rinse out with water
  14. My wife started drinking two protein shakes a day about a year ago (powder mix) She bought this a while ago and took it on our 12 day cruise. Its rechargeable (USB) she brought the cord but the charge lasted the whole cruise. It works very well and is very easy to clean https://amzn.to/3HxoL2x .
  15. Get yourself one of these.... they are cheap, easy to use and clean and work very well. My wife drinks protein twice a day and got this a year ago. https://amzn.to/3HxoL2x She used the ships tap water and had no problems with it Before our cruise she scooped out enough protein powder for our 12 day cruise and put it in a zip lock bag which went into one of our checked pieces of luggage.... no issues
  16. https://silvermoonbarbados.com Silver Moon! 5 Stars.. The take 12 people on their boats, they have room for 50. It was great, we only had 8 people total and three crew members. All drinks, snacks and a really nice grilled lunch is included. 5 hours long, I think it was $120 each. At one time we were next to a catamaran with about 100 people from our cruise, I'm glad we were with Silvermoon
  17. Just watched the local news, they are calling for 50mph-60mph winds along NJ and DE coast from now until 7am. Leaving at 3am sounds very optimistic. My guess would be 9am
  18. Is the bed in the second (small) bedroom OK for (1) adult? Thinking about booking this cabin for myself, my wife and my cousin. Cousin has never cruised before
  19. Once you eat in the Haven restaurant you won't go any place else
