  1. That is truly crazy! I hope NCL steps up and takes care of this ASAP
  2. OMG..... I hate the GW Lol. It never seems to matter what time of the day or night it is. Traffic is backed up and they are doing construction Lol
  3. Something really doesn't make any sense. Will be on the Getaway on 1-8-2023 in the Haven. Their is no way in hell I'm paying a 20% service fee for anything on top of what we already paid Per NCL's Website...... The Haven Restaurant Enjoy a private fine dining experience for guests of The Haven, serving unique signature dishes and wine offerings from our impressive selection. Price Per Person: Complimentary for guests of The Haven .

  5. You can follow this post What date is you're sailing? My wife and I are on the 1-8-2023 cruise
  6. On on the 1-8-2023 Sailing of the Getaway. We are suppose to dock in "Puerto Plata" January 17th. I know for sure in won't be Amber Cove because they already have two ships there that day. Over the weekend I had contacted a guide service in Puerto Plata. I had asked about some excursions and prices. I got an email back with some places we could go. In the email the person mentioned a number of times NCL had missed the port. They went on to say how we would get a full refund if the Getaway did not dock Someone on CC had mentioned over the weekend and today how NCL's insurance company won't let them dock Tanio Bay.... take that with a grain of salt
  7. It will be interesting to see where we end up. Our January 8th cruise on the Getaway is suppose to stop in Puerto Plata on January 17th. We are suppose to dock at Taino Bay. Looking at the schedule for Amber Cove they have a max of two ships and they are booked for that day.
  8. Head North on 10 Ave.... Hang a Left on 55th to 12 Ave..... Another Left and up the Ramp to park
  9. Could have been a staffing issue, could have been someone just screwed up. I was on the Escape with a number of open Haven cabins. On the second day they had some sort of raffle you could buy and win the cabins. I think they had 3 to give away. Three couples won a Haven cabin for $25 LOL They even had the crew help move them
  10. Looking for the best way to hire a taxi / guide service for 4 people for 4-5 hours and what is the approx cost. Would like to go to the Tram, stop in town and see some sights.
  11. You are right, but I know people who won't book the Haven unless they can be right in the Haven proper. For whatever reason they think the service is better.
  12. Think about.... for one it's not your property to decorate. It's probably also considered some sort of fire hazard.....Call me a Grinch Lol
  13. As a reminder when bidding..... Don't forget to go back and do a mock booking on the cabin you are bidding on. On some cruises (ours) the price of a Haven cabin with the price drop was the same as my middle of the road bid
  14. I'll let you know in about a month Lol. My wife and I are on the Getaway in a H9 (Haven Spa Balcony). We are a few cabins from the forward stairs and two floors from the Haven Courtyard. Our last cruise on the Escape we had a Haven Courtyard Cabin. It would be nice being in the Haven Courtyard how the cabin would have been 2K more and add to that spa passes. Neither of us is worried about not being in the Haven proper.
  15. I agree, the new blue carpet has a strange design. Looks like someone spilled bleach on it Lol
  16. It can be 37 minutes, actually 45 for my wife and I. It also took us 80 minutes due to traffic
  17. When walking in the terminal you should see a line for the Haven. Maybe someone else can chime in about what side its on while looking west. From 2019.... it was on the right. Large sign for Haven check in, we showed a woman our Edocs and she directed us to a separate security line. We were then directed to the Haven checkin, a smallish room to the right. It was in there we got our cabin cards, about 11am we were escorted to the Haven
  18. Our Blue Haven luggage tags for the Getaway have Priority on them, they arrived yesterday for a 1-8-23 cruise. Nothing about Haven
  19. Thats a big increase. I prepaid ours a few weeks ago at $18.50 pp pd, its now increasing to $25
  20. Been bringing one of these for years, on cruises, oversea's ..... https://amzn.to/3VFLw9k Never had an issue in the luggage or in a cabin
  21. Interesting. I had bids on Haven cabins on that cruise. The price of the Haven came way down to the point my bid was the same as just booking, which I did
  22. As others have said you can email them, just be sure to include your booking number. I've contacted them twice, first time it was 4 days before they got back to me, second time was 3 days. We are 34 days out and we just got our luggage tags and letter yesterday
  23. Got our luggage stickers today at 34 days out along with the Haven "Letter" IDK how far in advance they are printed out buts its disappointing the information on the back is incorrect..... Be fully vaccinated at least two weeks prior to sailing, present proof of vaccination at pier
  24. Funny, I could care less about the charge. We have done 11 cruises with NCL. Never got room service with the exception of our last cruise in the Haven. Its far easier for us to grab coffee or some breakfast in the buffet. Guess I'm the odd man out
  25. You can always book a Haven cabin.... no extra charges yet for French Press to your cabin
