  1. Hi, I am staying there pre-cruise in April. The pictures on line look lovely. And I want to thank you again for your help about the TWA property🙂.
  2. Silversea offers multiple choices of lower single supplements for their solo passengers as well. This is happening on a regular basis with 125% pricing on several voyages.
  3. Good morning, welcome to Cruise Critic. You need to post this question on the "Florida Forum". Here is a link and you can see many threads with this same topic. https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/386-florida-departures/
  4. Definitely, plenty of us "every day people" sail with SS and love the experience🙂
  5. Thanks to all of you for the replies. I appreciate them. I am now booked at The TWA and it is non-refundable so it is a done deal🙂 Sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do LOL.......
  6. Hi, I don't think I have tried Noosa......I have seen it in the store though. Is it more dense or is it a creamier yogurt? I want to say I may have it tried it once but not really sure.......and Melody, I love putting fresh blueberries with my yogurts. Icelandic makes a creamy Vanilla and the blueberries go really well with it🙂
  7. I think we sailed together almost 20 years ago on Summit. Where have the years gone?
  8. Hi Davey, I have never heard of this dish, but it sounds delicious. I love lamb and eggplant too.
  9. I forgot this thread still existed. Been 2 years since anyone posted on it
  10. That is a low price but it is VERY dependent on what is included. Are you sailing in a balcony for that amount?
  11. Good morning, I am just going to splurge and stay at TWA. I was looking again at the maps on line. My flight home the next morning is on Delta which is from Terminal 4.......looks like that is right next to Terminal 5🙂 Thank you again for the details about getting from point a to point b. One good thing about me, I have never been shy and so asking for help in person if I need it, will not be an issue🙂
  12. Good morning, thanks for your detailed reply but I am not arriving from the Manhattan Cruise Terminal. I am not arriving by cruise ship at all. I think I posted earlier that I am flying in from Europe.
  13. I stayed at The Clarendon in the Old City back in October. Highly recommend it🙂Lovely hotel with lots of restaurants and shops within walking distance.
  14. I guess I was thinking I could find more things that I can regularly buy at Publix.......but you are correct, it is definitely more of a specialty store. I watched the Tyre Nichols funeral today. That family has more grace than I could ever have in that situation. My heart goes out to his mom, especially.......to all those Moms who have lost their sons in such a horrific way.
  15. Hi Meg, nice to see you again🙂. I will take a look at this one. From what I have read (all day today), I think you have to take the Air Train for whatever hotels have a shuttle service. From what I can see, there is specific pick up point.
  16. Thanks for the help. I keep going back and forth about what to do. The $$ for this place is just way more than I normally spend. As for the terminal, I will be coming in on Austria Airlines as my flight is arriving from Vienna.
  17. I was looking at the JFK website and the last time I flew home from there was last summer. Do you know if upon my arrival, after I go through customs and get my bag from baggage claim if I can walk to the hotel? Or do I have to go to the AirTran place? The map on line looks a bit overwhelming to me. I am never afraid to ask for directions LOL.......I could always do that but just curious if you know anything about getting to the hotel after arriving from overseas.
  18. You are right. I was reading some of them..........most are very negative.
  19. Hi girls, hope everyone is doing well. I decided to go grocery shopping earlier today and went to TJ's...... I got a few things and the produce looked good but maybe I just never realized this before, but they don't carry many items I prefer. Example would be yogurts........I didn't know any of the brands but decided to try 3 different flavors. But they sure don't have many choices. (in my opinion anyway). I did get some oranges, apples, blueberries and strawberries though. Got some other items too but I now know for my "regular grocery shopping" I will be sticking with my Publix🙂
  20. Thanks for the suggestions. The NYC forum has so many topics! Seems most are not really current though. I am thinking about just paying the amount for the TWA hotel for convenience of it.
