  1. Just finished up packing.....whewww LOL.......I re did a couple of things and decided to pack one pair of black crop pants. They are cargo style and don't weigh a lot and Melody, they are from Chico's🙂 And I moved some things from my carry on into the checked bag and so the carry on is a bit lighter as well. Got all the jewelry done and the meds too. I have a small pill box that has a quilted cover that I use for every cruise. And I got all my other stuff done too.....cosmetics, toiletries, etc......So really finished. Now just have to get through the rest of the day!....my flight leaves tomorrow for Atlanta (late morning) and then my long haul leaves at 4:30pm. I am in business Class on the long one so will take advantage of the Delta Lounge for the afternoon😀
  2. Also wishing anyone who celebrates, A Happy Passover🙂
  3. Good morning, Melissa....yes CONGRATS on that new grandbaby!😀 Well, I decided to do a bunch of packing yesterday so today just have to finish up. Have to get my jewelry together.. I normally bring a neckwire with multiple pendants and of course a choice of earrings🙂but I have a couple of tops that look better with a longer necklace so will bring a couple of them as well.
  4. I saw something about this on the "Ask a Cruise Question" forum...(I think). I know I saw something that said each CEO only got one question each from Cruise Critic.........maybe CCAubs can confirm this for us.
  5. OMG...Melody, glad you are ok!!!!!!!!! And we have bad drivers even when the weather is good.......sounds like that driver REALLY screwed up!!!!
  6. It is quite easy to find the Cruise Director actually. Go to Guest Relations and speak with one of the staff members there and tell them you would like to speak with the CD. As for having a singles meet and greet? That is not something I care about but the CD would be a good person to ask about this type of event. And I agree with the previous poster, sometimes they have info about these type of events in their programs.
  7. Hey Sharon, I didn't think you were being critical😀.....I was saying sometimes I think about trying to change my packing style but never end up doing it.
  8. I am going to be in Crete next week and I am going on an excursion to an "Olive Oil Estate"........will let you know how it goes😀
  9. I just went through the weather forecast and it looks like it is going to be in the low to mid 60s every day with some rain coming into play as well. So, not even warm out really. The lightweight crop pants I was planning to pack? Not sure I am going to pack any of them. I keep looking at the pants for all my tours. I have 3 pair of joggers. One black, one a light purple and one is a peachy/coral color. They are all really soft and comfy. This is a port intensive cruise so I figure and can just change my tops and alternate the pants. I get free laundry and as Iong as I have it ready by 9am I get it back the same day🙂. I might throw in a pair of jeans too......bringing several 3/4 sleeves tops and I always, always take a warm up jacket, which I wear on that long haul flight too. But the weather does not look great......will pack accordingly. Evenings are easy for me🙂 I have the pants and tops out on the bed in the spare bedroom.
  10. Memory tells me I have always seen disposable plastic bottles at the gangway. And I agree, some tours may have bottled water on board the bus/van, etc .but that is not always a given.
  11. Good morning, thanks for all the replies. And yes, the scarf question was going more towards being in a Muslim country and not really an accessory question. I never bring scarfs with me but as things are standing around the world, I will throw it in......it is lightweight that is for sure. Sharon, I bring a checked bag and a carry on........I know we are all different and I don't really consider myself an over packer but suffice to say, I couldn't bring what I want in only a carry on bag. I suppose one day I could give it a try but........I just pack the way I pack.
  12. I always stay at The Riverside on Las Olas Blvd. Been there at least 1/2 dozen times over the years, most recently back in January. Love the location and I love this property🙂
  13. Hi Kat, I can't help with the hat question as I am not a hat girl and have never been. Good luck on finding the right one🙂 This will be my first time visiting Istanbul and I am not a scarf gal either but do ya'll suggest I bring one for walking around there? Or is it not needed? I have a couple of nice ones that my sisters have given me over the years.......
  14. Hi....my bad. I don't know and thought I was giving good info. So, I would tell the OP to take your advice and contact special services. I know they have Diet Coke but I must have read the post too fast and missed the caffene free part. My apologies.
  15. Hi, you just tell your Butler you want that item in the fridge and he/she will be more than happy to assist.
  16. I agree 100% and actually, if I am disembarking with a late flight and going to the airport independently, I go to Guest Relations and tell them I want to be in the latest group possible.
  17. Hi Janet,🙂 thanks so much. Yes, for a smaller size bag it seems to be quite roomy! And omg, I went to the Baggalini website.....they are so expensive on there!!!! Even the smaller ones.......I got a deal for 16 bucks!
  18. Timing will vary----depends on when the ship actually docks but usually within 1/2 hour after that point. So an actual time is impossible to give you. As for the latest time? Normally they want everyone disembarked in the 9:30-9:45 range.
