  1. I forgot about this.........I saw this on line the other day and it has to be one of the cutest videos ever. I laughed throughout.😀.....check this out. https://www.cnn.com/videos/us/2023/03/14/unc-baby-race-moos-cprog-orig-bdk.cnn
  2. Bon Voyage🙂...you still had to get a covid test? For a cruise out of Miami? .I am really surprised. I sailed from Ft. Lauderdale in January and did not need one.
  3. I was just re-reading your post. So, you are driving here from GA, correct? You staying near the port/airport? There is a shopping center called Rivercity Market Place with a Panera's and a Cracker Barrell. Those would be 2 breakfast options. You don't want to go downtown/over the bridge so I won't recommend anything else......although some local options are higher on my list🙂they are just further away.
  4. Good morning, where are you staying the night before your cruise? Then I can give you a better idea of where to go for breakfast. I have lived here since 1965 so know a few places🙂
  5. I did this in January and had plenty of time🙂. You will be good to go!
  6. Good morning, yes, Cynthia, I retired on Dec 31st, 2019. Thanks for the good wishes🙂
  7. Wishing you a wonderful time......I love Portugal!!
  8. The messaging feature does not work on here and never has☹️. I have 3 booked for 2024...one in the Caribbean, one British Isles and a TA on the new Ray. All 3 were lower SS.
  9. Well, this weekend I turn the BIG 65😮...not sure where the time has gone. The big day is Saturday. My sis and bil are on a cruise right now and when it is over (Saturday) they are driving up here and are staying with me for 3 days and then going to their best friend's for another 3 or 4 days. Anyway, they live in Mexico but used to live here. We are going out to dinner for my birthday. It is going to be VERY strange having 2 people here with me. The last time I had someone stay overnight was back last summer. I have a girl friend who came here from Savannah when I needed an Endoscopy. That was only for over night. Prior to that? April of last year when I had my hysterectomy. My close friend from Miami stayed with me. My sis and bil and I get along pretty well but I am really not used to having anyone else here. Especially for 3 nights..........I am sure it will all work out. (hopefully).🙂 It will really be more like 2.5 days because they are driving up from Ft. Lauderdale Sat . Should get them here in the afternoon then Sunday and Monday..........I keep telling myself it will all be good. 65.........I really don't know where the years have gone.
  10. Hi Janet, I saw that too.........ALOT of sugar for sure😧......I won't be buying it again for a long while.
  11. Hi Stranger🙂....I have several SS cruises booked with the lower SS but I am looking at other lines too........was checking on Regent and the Oceania forum too.
  12. I LOVE French Toast made with Challah Bread........I am sure some of you know what that is......it is simply DELICIOUS😀
  13. I like having the paper documents with me as well.🙂
  14. I look at the total price of the cruise and if it is within my price point and is it going where I want to go? And is it a line I want to sail.......breaking it down by day does nothing for me. Maybe I am just an odd ball.but I know what I can spend and that is what is important to me.
  15. Hi, I know there have been many questions on here about when folks get their cruise documents. I just wanted to post that I am 26 days from my next cruise and received my documents this morning. So that is just over 3 weeks. I have received my past few documents about 15 days out so it looks like they moved the date up, well, for this sailing anyway🙂 And I had booked a guaranty and they have my cabin number on there too! It was not showing up on My Silversea before this so now it is........deck 6 mid ship.
  16. Hi Randy, my question is :WHY? Why would they even need 2 copies?
  17. Good morning, that is not unusual. For some reason, sometimes the bowties show up and sometimes they don't, but the picture posted is correct. It would normally show up where the arrow is pointed.
  18. Hi, I am going on Spirit next month!🙂It will be my 3rd time on her.
  19. I have a pair of "Lou and Grey" knit pants that are my favorite travel pants.🙂 Especially on those overnight flights to Europe. They are sold at The Loft and I am guessing I have worn them at least a dozen times.....they are so comfy. VERY soft. I usually wear either a short sleeved or 3/4 sleeve top and I always have a lightweight warm up jacket. As for shoes, I usually wear a mule. I have a pair of Skechers in black (the pants are black too). These shoes are very light weight too and I normally fly business class so the shoes go right under the shelf in my pod😀
