Actually, we have not yet heard from an actual passenger yet. They board tomorrow. I am very aware of all of the other threads. This way, we will hear it from an onboard passenger.
When we cruised the Panama Canal, we landed at LAX and then we were coached by our daughter how to book Uber. It worked very well and we were in San Pedro at the Crowne Plaza Hotel about 35 minutes later. We spent the first 28 years of our lives in S. CA so we had a great conversation with our driver. The fee was about $35.00. We arrived the day before the cruise. (January 2018).
I usually picked up my Chardonnay at Good Spirits on the Grand last September. It was Decoy. When they ran out of Decoy, I do not remember what it was.
Most likely, there is a housekeeping room between B738 and B739. You can ask your Cabin Steward to open at least your part to the blank space. If B738 wants it open as well, then be aware that you will sharing balcony space. If you are traveling with the party of the other cabin, then this could be a win/ win. These balconies are a really nice size and you may be quite content with "as is".

Thank you for sharing your journey with us. We sailed the British Isles on Princess last May and it was fabulous! The Regal is one of our favorite Princess ships and I am sure you will enjoy.
As long as you inform the Headwaiter in the dining room about dietary needs, I am sure you will be taken care of, even if you change the time and/ or a table.
LHR and London are crazy enough even without an imminent coronation. As has been suggested, it may not hurt to have a back up plan such as getting a private transfer from LHR to Southampton and spending time there instead. The National Express departs from LHR to Southampton.
Either way, you will have a wonderful time!
We have always been able to receive the lower cabin rate if it decreases, is before final payment, and that Cabin category is still available. It does not affect our EZAir reservations.
Sadly, we had to miss the Icy Strait port last September on the Grand, due to a late departure from Vancouver, BC. It looks lovely! Thanks for sharing.
Maybe another time.
Thank you so much for your comments! I have reported here what I have read from other CC posters who have received this information.
As of now, I am able to book The Catch on my app.
I hope you find your way.
We have saved hundreds of dollars just by checking in on the current fares and then calling our TA. It is no problem and our fare is adjusted to the lower amount.
We stayed in a balcony on the Lido deck (forward) on the Regal and no earplugs were needed. As has been stated, just keep your drapes closed at night. Keep lights off if you go on your balcony at night.
The only negative is not being able to see out, due to the metal railing.
There will be no fewer cabins due to a "refit" in dry dock. Restaurant venues were changed. Bistro Sur La Mer is gone and Sabatini's has moved there. "The Catch" will be where Sabatini's was.
I adore Scotland! At least your journey to the port is thousands of miles less than ours.
Have a lovely time on the Sky! we board the Sky in June.
Actually, you would be surprised at how many people are unaware of that. We have witnessed fellow cruisers get a phone call from Viator the day before their excursion and Viator is cancelling on them. I have told many on CC that Viator is a third party and we book directly with the tour company,
IMHO, I would think not. We love our aft balconies for many reasons. However, many people love the Sanctuary for the High Tea, food, and service, etc.
Personally, we love our privacy and can order room service if desired.
