How about an update if anyone knows about booking ship to airport SS transfer on last day of cruise. I called my SS rep and she thought you could book that onboard. It would be Tokyo to Narita. We are doing our own air, business class with miles as the SS upgrade was an additional $14,000 for both of us.

Today we received the semi monthly promotion material from Princess in the mail. It went straight to the trash. Right now unless Princess makes some big changes back and get rid of all this complicated non sense and all these new extra charges cruising with them will not be in consideration.

I will look. I did google silver Nova veranda suite floor plan with bath tub and found it among with a description of having a separate bath and shower. It did not say the size but you might be able to calculate the size looking at the floor plan

I only take baths and hate showers. Our upcoming cruise on the Nova is with a tub and I am thrilled. The SS rep confirmed they are separate. I also saw a video on that showed the tub and shower separate on the Nova as well as Their other ships.

I’m really hoping when our cruise comes in a little over a year no jackets will be required at all.

I’ll take the tub over a shower any day. We have a tub and shower on the upcoming Nova cruise.

The cruise is 14 days Tokyo to Tokyo next October. I will check out the Eddie Bauer blazer. I really like their products. Appreciate the info

I will go buy a dark jacket to go along with slacks and shirt before the cruise but no suit and tie. Hopefully that will allow me to be inside on formal night. If I was in charge but realize I am not and I might not have many passengers but formal night would be shorts, t shirt and ball cap.

Before we booked last Friday SS did a courtesy 48 hour hold. I was able to creat a SS account, log in and see the held cruise. I could also see all excursions and I could see if it was available, waitlisted or fully booked. One was already fully booked with the cruise over a year away.

I’m not complaining what SS charges for the cruise. The Nova cruise is about $3,000 more than the same cruise on another SS ship. The Nova really caught my attention and I am willing to pay for it. We will completely skip the 2 up charge restaurants and the chefs table. I have always accepted extra charges for spa, excursions, shops, etc but I have always wanted all meals included. I do like that most excursion are included but 2 of the full day excursions we picked with lunch are extra and have already exceeded the $1,000 room credit we received.

When does one typically find out what cabin you do have

For those with a guarantee when did you find out what cabin umber you ended up getting?

I relooked. SS website says SALT chefs table so must be a special very small group special dinner

We wanted to cruise with SS for years but we swore not to as long as they were charging extra for meals. Then I saw the new Silver Nova and finally gave up and booked. Beautiful ship and very excited to finally give SS a try. The lady that helped me with the booking really used the term “all inclusive” a lot. Still puzzled how they can say all inclusive and charge for meals such as La Dame $320. S.A.L.T. $360 and Kaiseki $160 a couple. Would be nice if one reservation could be included for each. Also very glad they are relaxing the formal attire. Hopefully before the cruise it will be relaxed some more.

On the Nova if you don’t drink and do not have deserts it’s a really bad deal as there is no $60 meal option with no alcohol included.

We got the aluminum cans in aqua class on our June cruise. We did not care for the metallic taste. We had the premium package so would go get bottle water at the cafe.

Can’t believe they through the restaurant was an extra charge.

I have handled 2 cruises for my wife’s parents on Viking. I paid for everything. I also was able to make changes such as moving their booking to a different cruise, make their air arrangements through Viking and Viking would answer questions etc that I had so sorry to hear that you’re having issues with them. Maybe the only difference is my wife and I were going on the same cruise as them. We and her parents did have separate booking numbers.

I enjoy not seeing any prices on mdr menus. Hopefully this will go the way of their $10 burgers and hot dogs.

Seeing $$ on the RCI mdr menu is one of the main reasons we quit cruising with them. Just off the Solstice in aqua class. Fortunately no $$ on any menu we had.

We like Merrimans and House with out a key at the Halekulani. HWOAK has Kanoe Miller doing the dancing usually in Fridays if she is not traveling. Great entertainment for sure.
