  1. Unless they change their minds, they'll still want that 40 bucks though.
  2. Holly, I just returned from Canada on the JOY. I had no problems getting my purchases back on board and had to declare nothing to Customs when I debarked in NYC.
  3. I bring a printed schedule of any meals or excursions I booked and a few magnets. Easier to read every day to see what I booked weeks before. Works for me.
  4. While you're enjoying your cruise, please let us know what the current deal is with Latitude Perks being offered, if any. I'm checking for my roll call group; we're on the cruise after you. Are you at full capacity? Here's to great weather and a smooth ride during your time on the JOY!
  5. Thanks for responding. Checking for my roll call group. We'll find out in two weeks.
  6. Were Latitude perks like an officer's dinner, wine tasting, ship tour, etc. offered?
  7. Were you able to use any of your Latitude perks or was OBC offered instead?
  8. Aside from a pin, did you get Latitude perks or non refundable OBC? Thanks.
  9. I'm on Deck 11 in a BB and don't have a hot tub as far as I know.
  10. I was told those amounts and Latitude levels. I was also told per cabin, NOT per person.
  11. Hi, Bonnie. He meant no more percentage levels. If an NCL ship can book to it's 100%, it will. As you say, he could be wrong, but cruise lines have lost so much money I can see they'd want to start filling up if possible before the CDC starts any trouble for them and/or some people are afraid to book. We have to look at Covid as an endemic and get on with living. Anyone getting a negative antigen test and then boarding a cruise ship two days later, and thinking the cruise will remain Covid-free will always hear post debarkation about the cruisers who got it. Luck of the draw. I wore my mask only the two times I was in the theater and when I got off the ship in Bermuda and NYC.
  12. It was me, and this is correct. The head of the Cruise Next desk told me at the Latitude party. He knew I'd already purchased some Future Cruise certs.
  13. WOW, Henry!! I didn't go to the Glow Party because I went to a show in Q called Broadway Cabaret. What a mess! I'd made a shirt in the Atrium with day glo paint to wear it but it looks like I made the better choice to go to Q instead........... I had one friend from previous cruises on board but didn't go to any solo meet ups. I've been on the Intrepid and hope all the military will leave NYC covid-free..............
  14. Stacy, I'm not on FB and was sorry to read this. I was on this cruise with you and am home testing daily. So far, so good. (I put my little duck on my key chain!). Sharon
  15. Henry.......I'm a tea drinker so can't review the coffee....... Bought two Cruise Next certs and did go to the Lat. party which they had in the Observation Lounge as they did for your cruise...... I forgot to tell you I had to pick up my yellow luggage tags at Guest Services myself. Your being in a suite gave you more perks than being Sapphire, as it should........ I didn't get another Sapphire pin but asked for the others ( I already had the Bronze, too) which they gave me. I think the ship pins were so much more distinctive and pretty!.....I'm unpacked and the laundry is done. The sad part is having to cook dinner myself! I got my second booster 2 weeks before I boarded but knowing what happened to you has me crossing my fingers. And now, there's monkeypox!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  16. Just took a covid test; negative. Will try again in a few days and hope for the same result.....Didn't get off in Norfolk......remember how NCL was putting caps on the number of people on each ship? Not anymore according to what I was told. People still need to be vaccinated. The JOY can hold 3800 passengers. You'll have a great time! It's a BIG ship with lots of spaces to hang out.
  17. Hi, Henry. Sharon, The P, here. Taking a break from unpacking to check in with you and Bonnie and any other curious cruisers. First off, I'm sorry to read Covid got you and Susan; I'll take a home test as soon as I catch my breath and let you know the results. There was lots of cleaning going on but I didn't hear any rumors on board. We'll see what the next few days bring on CC and FB. I was in a Club Balcony on Deck 12; I'm Sapphire. I have no idea how things worked for Haven. I had all my Bermuda final results with me. I got to the pier at 9AM; boarded around 11:20. Debark started around 7:20. They called Yellow tags around 7:40. I was in my (Manhattan) apt. by 8:15. Bonnie, you have to go to 3 different places to check in. First, with your passport and boarding rezzie info and test result. Then you go to a second line where they check your Bermuda info. If you don't have the final OK from Bermuda, you can go to another line and some people didn't get the final OK till they were on board and were called to Guest Services. Third, you go to another line to get your cabin card. Crazy! We had 2330 people on board and I never felt crowded and could change dining and entertainment rezzies with ease. Today's cruise has over 3000 and the Cruise Next desk told me NCL will accept whomever wants to cruise now. No behind the scenes or officer's dinner, etc. so I got $50 non-refundable OBC for being Sapphire. The weather was great. No barf bags needed. It feels more humid today in Manhattan than it did in Bermuda! Enjoyed both Footloose and Elements. New Footloose cast boarding today. I thought the food was very good. Ate in Q and Cagney's and all the different "included" dining rooms. The buffet will not disappoint you! Any questions, just ask. I'm returning to unpacking and making some tea; I need the caffeine!
  18. Hi, Henry. Thanks for answering. I'm Sapphire but even Priority will still get caught in a bottleneck getting to luggage in NYC so yellow is fine by me. I breathed a sigh of relief when my antigen test came back negative and I could download it to Bermuda. Got the OK, printed it out, put it with my passport and was happy that was done. Aside from last minute stuff I'm ready to go. I'm on my own this cruise so I'm looking forward to doing what I want when I want and hoping for some nice weather to do it all in. CC is full of threads talking about Norovirus and Covid on ships sailing now so what will be will be. Thanks so much for all the work you do to let us know what's going on. We're lucky to have you as a guide! I'll miss running into you and Susan this cruise! Sharon
