  1. Depending upon the ship, the dining kiosk is normally on the Promenade fairly close to where you enter upon boarding. If you don’t see it right away just ask a crew member.
  2. You shouldn’t have problems getting your preferred dining time for most nights and venues. The first formal night (usually night #2) tends to fill up quickly. I recommend getting onboard as early as possible and be prepared to go to the specialty dining kiosk or one of the specialty restaurants to make your reservations ASAP. Izumi Hibachi may require some compromises.
  3. No. Just wear whatever you want. Don’t go in there in uncovered swimwear.
  4. We are also on VI 4-21-23. While we have sailed other Vision class ships, this will be our first time on Vision of the Seas.
  5. I've been on hold with Club Royale over 1.5 hours trying to make a minor change to a booking. So frustrating !
  6. Relax. The Genie will handle all of your bookings-food and entertainment. The first formal night will be the night of your first sea day (not counting boarding day). If you want to do the Chefs Table for formal night, then I do recommend that you and all of your traveling party who want to be together at the Chefs Table, go ahead and book it and pay in advance. The Genie will make sure you are reimbursed once you are onboard. The only other venue where this is recommended is Izumi Hibachi. There are limited seats for that so it is usually advised to precook that and the Chefs Table. The Genie will contact you well in advance and will provide you with a schedule of entertainment options. You will have plenty of time to coordinate with your group and decide which nights you want to do which events. Enjoy your first Star Class experience. It is incredible.
  7. There is still a suites area on Labadee. It’s just that the cabanas can now be rented by suites or non-suites. Non-suites can only access Barefoot Beach if they have rented a cabana.
  8. I concur. I have never had any trouble getting something deleted from my order. I don't eat cheese so I often tell them to leave off the cheese (whatever it happens to be) and they have never once denied me this request.
  9. First I’ve heard of this one….but it wouldn’t affect us, even if true. I have absolutely no reason to be in that stinky, smokey casino unless I’m gambling. I rarely get a casino drink, anyway.
  10. I can almost guarantee you that you will not be able to combine C&A discount with a casino discount.
  11. I did a quick look at prices for the OA 9/3/23 sailing. Full fare for a 4V is $1599 before any taxes or port fees….so $530 is definitely less than 50% of full fare. Agreed, the single supplement thing makes no sense at all…
  12. You won’t be. As long as you book your rezzies as soon as you board, you will have plenty of options for days and times. Last week on EX the only “compromise” we had to make was instead of eating at Chops at 6:45 on night #2 (formal night), we had to eat at 7:45. Big deal. We got all of the other dates and times we originally wanted.
  13. I’ve stayed in both (Harmony) and definitely prefer the water-facing one. While the aft-facing one definitely has a bigger balcony, it is a bit more cramped upstairs.
  14. Has anyone actually priced one of these BOGO offers yet ? TBH I’m done with the crappy 3-4-5 night offers on old ships I’ve been getting. I might actually be willing to pay a little more for a 7 night O class ship. Depending upon how much of a “casino discount” they are giving person #2, it might not be a terrible deal.
  15. We just disembarked EX yesterday. We each won a comp cruise and booked through Next Cruise while onboard. Both of those offers were comp room for 2.
  16. I have read of those who purchased a dining package, then pre-booked (and prepaid) their individual specialty dining meals and then asked for a refund for the individual reservations, once onboard. It seems that Royal has caught on to this "hack" and is enforcing the 48 hour cancellation policy. So, if you book (and prepay) a specialty dining reservation for either night #1 or #2, then try and get a refund for the full prepaid price, they will waive the 48 hour cancellation policy at you and potentially not refund your money. I have never done this....so I cannot testify that it's true. It's just what I have read.
  17. The 11-11 bar service is for Oasis class only so it will not be on Anthem
  18. I agree that the 30 day thing is just a smokescreen. It means nothing. If you are within 30 days of a cruise and still getting the bogus 30 day error message, try putting the other guest’s name in (assuming there is another guest). Sometimes my name works and sometimes my husband’s name works.
  19. On EX now. This work around did not work for me. “Suite” was still missing. We had no problem boarding in the Suite line at Miami Terminal G. They didn’t even look to see whether the word Suite was there or not.
  20. You have my sincere condolences. My money routinely suffers the same re-allocation.
  21. I thought I had read that the new smoke free casino annex was going to have its own cashiers cage. Is that true ? We left OA just before they finished the conversion so we didn’t get to see what it finally looked like.
  22. It has been my recent experience (all from Miami) that even the Suites/Pinns/Key don’t really get much of a boarding head start. It seems like, as soon as they start the S/P/K boarding through one door, they also begin allowing the GenPop in through the other door, so basically everyone starts at basically the same time -just different starting points. The only ones with true advantage are the B2B’ers.
