  1. I will be cruising solo and have ride to port on embarkation day but when we debark my ride will be unavailable to pick me up till late afternoon. The cost is very inexpensive to ride train up close to home when my ride can pick me up there after work and I think it would be fun to ride the train with sea legs. Anyone know of a shuttle that may do this route?
  2. Had a connecting room only once, I will never sail in one again unless given the cruise free. We could definitely hear our neighbors very clearly and they were not crazy or rambunctious. The walls are thin enough as it is. Room location is very important to me when selecting a room, notice when looking at available cabins on a ship that is selling out well that the connecting rooms are often the last ones selected by experienced cruisers.
  3. Send email to shareholders@carnival.com Attach proof of ownership. Redact all account numbers and unrelated sensitive info. Give date and booking number for upcoming cruise. I have used this method now for awhile and usually get a response fairly quickly.
  4. Forgot about the Mardi Gras rooms, loved the glass shower door but the smaller size was very noticeable. Also the Panorama elevator system, it was confusing for some at first, reading the instructions is key. I loved it and surprised it wasn’t the same on Mardi Gras. My may cruise on the Panorama caused me to switch a booking over from the Mardi Gras to the Horizon. Mardi Gras does have Bolt, it is a thrill seeking blast and worth at least one ride for the fun of it!
  5. Have been on both, the Cloud 9 Spa is much nicer on the Panorama as is the Havana area. I like the location of the Alchemy bar much better on the Panorama also. The shows are great in the Grand Central on Mardis Gras but must get early for good seats and there is continuous background activity. No bar service in the main theater on the Mardi Gras. Both were beautiful ships and loved our cruises on both. I’d go for itinerary, we’ve done the Caribbean often so really enjoyed the Panorama and especially the Puerto Vallarta port with Rhythms of the Night. It was pretty special.
  6. Balcony cabin a must if cruising with others, have done an OV when cruising solo once, it was ok but back to balcony only for me.
  7. 0/2 for me, have a feeling that the cards with this offer are the ones with yearly fees.
  8. After so many luggage tags we were happy with the koozies, we use them often. I think the gifts were a good idea before the numbers of P/D swelled. I’d be perfectly happy to not receive these gifts and maybe a discount for excursion, spa service or specialty restaurant would be welcome for me. No matter what they are people will keep on complaining and not being happy.
  9. How far in advance will they apply stock obc? I like the idea of sending in request as soon as we book, I forgot to send in for one cruise last year and it’s too late once on the ship. Have a 6/24 Hawaii cruise and want the $250.
  10. The Dream class is my favorite still. Like the size and the spa is easily the best. Was surprised by how much I liked the Panorama which was most recent, the spa was MUCH better than the dungeon spa on Mardi Gras with no windows, super small impractical T-pool. I loved the shows and many dining choices on the Mardi Gras but 5 cruises on her already and I’m done with her.
  11. Call a PVP or TA and let them research availabilities for you. I know the Havana area on the Vista class ships are preferable over the Mardi Gras Havanas. Recently went on the Panorama and ha a wonderful cruise, was a little rockier in the Pacific but not enough to bother us.
  12. They will do $100 the first week and $150 the second week on 7 day btbs. Got $250 for both of my btb cruises this past year.
  13. It’s not for the fresh blended juices unfortunately but does cover any of the juices at the bars like cranberry, orange an such. One time I had bubbles and really enjoyed cranberry and Sprite together.
  14. I rode Bolt on the 7/31/21 cruise, it was $15 for only one lap at the time. I rode twice $30. Was glad to have done it but total of 5 cruises on this ship so far and haven’t felt the need to ride it again.
