Without charges, except for the purchase of the medallion net wifi?

Just to make sure I understand- I have an android so I would need whatsapp in order to text onboard without charges, even if I'm connected to wifi with medallion net. If no whatsapp then I should stick to shipmate chat.

Thank you DCThunder. My sisters & I used the shipmate chat feature in Feb. The fact that there's no notification when chat messages are sent is a disadvantage. Knowing I can actually text onboard is great news provided the recipients also have medallion net wifi. 😊

I've had medallion net pkg on last 2 or 3 cruises. I didn't realize I can text someone onboard. On our upcoming June cruise our daughter & sil will cruise with us. If they also have a medallion net pkg how do I text them? Is it done with their cell # like on land? Any info you can provide is very much appreciated. 😊

Like Thrak I really like that DH & I can find each other so easily. Having the cabin door automatically unlock is also a nice convenience.

I think it was 2 or 3 months ago Princess put a new policy in place regarding the lanes. Now you remain in blue lane if you pick up your medallions at the port. We were green lane on our upcoming cruise but went to blue lane when the new policy took effect. Nothing to be concerned about.

We watch it on our TV while unpacking then ck in at our muster station. You can watch it on your phone but I've never done that, don't know how. Apparently they do track to confirm you did it.

My souvenir from Monet's Home & Garden tour-a dish towel. We travel with carryon only so my souvenirs must weigh nothing & take up no luggage space. BTW, this dish towel has never touched a dish. It's for decorative use only. 😊

Peagreenid-I was about to tell thinfool the same sad news. Not only can we no longer swap the minibar for 2 coffee pkgs, there are no longer coffee pkgs. Very sad. 😭

We took this tour in 2017 so not exactly recent. We loved it. At that time we were 70 & 73, fairly active without mobility issues. We felt the pace was comfortable. Not sure this helps but this was our experience. I hope your mum is able to take this tour. For me it was a thrill. 😊

We get standard. We're elite so we get half off wifi & only use 1 device. Our free mini bar set up takes care of our alcohol needs since we seldom drink. I like the free coffee in the buffet just fine. I did the math & for us $60 per day per person for plus or $80 per day per person for premier is not cost effective. I know for many the packages do make sense. I think you need to do the math to be sure one way or the other.

The medallion takes the place of the cruise card. You can wear the medallion on lanyard around your neck just like the card. That's what we do. Some buy accessories so they can wear it like a watch, some buy pretty neck chains, some buy key chain type accesdories, etc., for their madallions. We just use the free lanyard. And we are like you in that we seldom pay extra for food or drink. So much is included. This is the medallion & lanyard. Medallion is about the size of a quarter, maybe slightly smaller.

Yes to all 3. Crew decorate the ship & dress in costumes. Many passengers dress in costumes. Some go all out. Many decorate their doors. We travel with carryon only so no room for costumes but we enjoy the fun.

I booked our upcoming 26 day cruise as 2 cruises. It was only a dollar cheaper separately but we got more obc for my DH's military service, more promo obc, 2 mini bar set ups, etc. We will have the same cabin for both segments.

We're in US. Many months ago we were ocean ready. Everything in place. A couple of nights ago when I checked the app it indicated I need to choose our medallions. I checked our order history. It shows our medallions are ordered. I don't like paying shipping for anything, will get medallions at port, so we went from green lane to blue lane. I don't consider lane color important. I think the other problem will work itself out.

I'm still bummed about the loss of coffee pkgs in place of the mini bar. 😭

Post pandemic kale was being added to the Princess Caesar salad. Someone recently posted a menu on another site & kale wasn't mentioned as a Caesar salad ingredient. Can anyone confirm no more kale? It kind of ruined the salad. 😊
